En route to The West Country we were looking for a place to stop for lunch. We saw the sign for this pub as we entered the village of WInterbourne Abbas, so kept a lookout so that we could pull in. A delightful old pub, refurbished very carefully and to a high standard. A most interesting lunch menu with limited but excellent choices and quite varied. The food was well presented, generous servings and very tasty Service was excellent. A good marker for somewhere to stop in future.

Welcoming and friendly service. Could not have asked for more. Amazing sandwiches, best pub food I have eaten in a long time. The landlady could not have been any more helpful.

My wife and daughter stayed here for 2 nights and were so pleased we did. The rooms were ideal and suited our needs. The location is great. This is a clean and tidy establishment well run by friendly, helpful and competent staff. We ate all our meals at the Inn and enjoyed them all. Top quality and hats off to Chef. We woiuld recommend this establishment to everyone.

The food here is incredible. And it's rare to visit a pub with such a brilliant host. The lady that runs this pub is great fun.

We were overwhelmed by the welcome we received by the young staff at this pub/hotel. They could not have been more helpful. We had a dog with us who was bowled over by the treats she received. The room was very clean and comfortable but the amazing surprise was the restaurant. We had the best steak we have eaten in years. The quality of food in this place is amazing. If we lived locally it would be our regular place to eat. As it is we will definitely stay there again next time we are in the area. Congratulations to the owners.

This is a wonderful cafe and well worth a visit, even if you’re not staying at the campsite. The food was great, freshly prepared for a range of options for different diets/needs. They also adapted items for our children. Very reasonably priced given the quality of food, service was fantastic. A really nice evening sitting out in the garden of the house. Also, a cat came to visit us, which was nice.

A hidden gem and a brilliant addition to Oakham. The menu is really imaginative and offers a great variety of dishes. Food is good value and utterly delicious. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Terrific, elegant, authentic sushi in Newark, Nottinghamshire? Absolutely, and at very reasonable prices with exceptional, friendly, family service. This was Ga Sushi last Saturday night (the only evening it opens at the moment, otherwise daytime only). The spicy Tan Tan Tuna starter (a seaweed cone of rice topped with spicy shredded tuna, delicious) and the delicately constructed and arranged seafood sushi main course. I had the Hana Nigiri 14-piece set menu sushi with tuna, prawn, seaweed salad etc. Tasted as good as it looks. Superb. Companions opted for the mixed veggie ramen bowl and some had ice cream for dessert. The Hong Kong family running Ga Sushi plan to expand the menu and apply for an alcohol licence. Meanwhile drinks options include alcohol-free beer at just £3.50 and bubble tea. I had both and my first-ever bubble tea was interesting and novel but far sweeter than anything I’d normally drink. Total bill with tip, £25 per head - a bargain. Diners please note – this is highly sophisticated, beautiful food at bargain prices. The surroundings are clean, bright and basic – but you are there for the food, right, not expensive upholstery? The warm welcome comes free. And incidentally, one couple there on Saturday had come from Nottingham – because nowhere in the city has sushi as good as this... Saturday is currently the only evening opening, otherwise daytime only for now.

Went here for a lunch for less and the food, at £23 for two courses or £27 for three was outstanding. Lovely leisurely service and a fabulous experience. Spring flowers on every surface. Superb.
