Just Caked in Rutland

A hidden gem and a brilliant addition to Oakham. The menu is really imaginative and offers a great variety of dishes. Food is good value and utterly delicious. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

Not bad. Choose a fancied named breakfast bap, polished it off in 4 bites, but tasted good. Spent the next 5 minutes, looking longingly at my fiancées "purgotory eggs," which was a massive serving. Service was fast and friendly. Would probably go again, but it's probably my first and last visit to oakham.

The Wheatsheaf is a hidden gem! Their Sunday lunch was absolutely delicious, and the service was top-notch. We followed up with a delightful dessert to round out the perfect meal. We took part in a 5-mile hike around the lovely countryside that surrounds Langham afterwards to walk it all off! If you're looking for a fantastic Sunday Lunch, I highly recommend giving The Wheatsheaf a try. You won't be disappointed! The beer selection and quality on the day we visited (real ales) were OK to good, middle rating there, but I wasn't there for a session, so that didn't detract. The seating layout is not as cosy as it could be, but the staff were very accommodating when we called in for a beer after the walk, allowing us to sit in the dining area. All round highly recommended

Boys weekend away and exactly what we needed. Dartboard, sports on TV, no pretentions, nice landlord, etc
