Fabulous Sunday lunch! I had the pithivier which was a great veggie option and my new favorite thing. My partner had the beef roast which was equally fabulous. Top class food and service. We will be back!

Our favourite foodie pub in the whole of Northamptonshire. Whether it's for a drink in the bar after a walk, still wearing your wellies, or for a more decadent evening of delicious food accompanied by an extensive and interesting wine list - it's a winner. The staff are knowledgeable too and passionate about what they do. We've done lunches as a family, with friends, as well as one of the special tasting menu evenings. It's always been a treat and we hope to be drinking and dining at The Plough for years to come. Couldn't recommend it more.

We had a fantastic meal here the other week. The food is delicious, great ambience and super efficient friendly staff. Will be back. David, the landlord, couldn’t have been more accommodating

Booked the five course tasting menu for New Year Eve. The menu, food and service were absolutely stunning, impeccably served with a delightful variety of wonderful menu dishes. I really can’t recommend enough how impressed we were with the whole dining experience, tremendous wine pairing with each course, all of which were lovely wines which completely complemented each course. A truly wonderful and memorable meal, thank you to all the staff at the Plough. A complete five star dining experience 😊

We were a group of six adults (plus dog), ages ranging from 61 to 95!! It was a beautiful evening so we booked a table in the lovely garden. A very good menu, restaurant rather than gastropub. Quite a lot of fish dishes but steak and pork too. All of us really enjoyed our meals. The food was a bit different and super quality. Portions just the right size so my husband and I had room to share a starter and a dessert without getting too full. I loved all of it - ham hock to start, monkfish with gnocchi for mains and affogato dessert (divine). I also had an Aperol Spritz to drink which I'd never had before and loved it.

Pretty awful service if I’m honest. No vegetarian offer for Sunday lunch and they tried to charge the same for a meatless plate. Very surley waitress who was clearly irritated by having the bill questioned and dealt with it in a right huff. Embarrassing as we had taken friends who had travelled quite a way.

I visited The Plough for dinner together with friends. We have been meeting monthly as a Connoisseurs Dining Club for over 40 years at various venues in Northamptonshire. Last night's dinner was nothing short of sensational ! We had a tasting menu of 5 courses many of which showcased local produce. We all agreed that it was one of the best meals ever ( and some members can be notoriously difficult to please) Add the extensive wine list and excellent service and it was truly a 5 star experience

Went on a Sunday for Lunch with the family. The food is first class with a good range to choose from. The service was friendly and efficient but not intrusive. I have been with my wife on a Friday evening and the same comments above apply. I seriously recommend this place.

Closed. 😭 A cosy cafe with friendly and attentive staff. Indoor and outdoor seating in a quiet courtyard conveniently located just off the high street. Nice breakfast and lunch menus available; and of course a good selection of cakes and deserts. Well behaved dogs are allowed inside and outside; water and complimentary treats offered. Parking just a couple of minutes walk away; toilet / baby-changing facilities on-site (ask staff for key). Card payments accepted. Highly recommended.

We ordered a saveloy and chips and a chicken kebab and chips, all fresh and really yummy and hot. Customer service was good and the portion was great. Only thing I would add to make it 5* is if the person cooking wearing a hat/hair/beard net as I was a bit concerned I would find a beard hair in my food(I didn't!)

You definitely need to try the fish'n'chips! The beer was good and the atmosphere was pretty classic. They have a skittles table too! Very nice! 😊

Very surprised to see a large dog walk into the dining room. It would be safe to assume that the possibility that you might be sharing Mother's Day with a massive, stinking dog and therefore give the option NOT to be seated there, would be reasonable. But NO. Eating an expensive roast dinner with a dog slurping out of its bowl and wandering around was very unpleasant.

Visited this evening and enjoyed the visiting Thai menu. The food was very authentic, no skimping on quality ingredients and a good level of spiciness. Attentive staff, great real ale and wine and good value. Well worth the 20 min hike up from our boat on the canal!
