Brilliant service, stunning food. The kids enjoyed the homemade vegan and gluten free food and have asked to go back for the tegg, sausages and faken. The wife and I absolutely loved our pick and mix breakfasts (and the free cuppa top up!) & had a lovely chat with the family that own the place while they prepared our food. First place we've been able to go where they can cater for all of our needs, fantastic! Will most definitely be back!!

The steaks we had were amazing and perfectly cooked. We had no complaints about the food however our whole party was shocked by the pictures of women’s breasts in the men’s toilet. The photographs displayed are totally inappropriate objectifying women and have no place in modern society. There were also pictures of topless men in the women’s toilet which again is bizarre and has nothing to do with going to the toilet. The experience and atmosphere was totally at odds with the class food on offer. We left without having a desert and will not be returning.

A lovely roast in warm and very friendly pub. The food was cooked to perfection; beautifully rare roast beef, goose-fat roasted potatoes, great Yorkshire pudding and gravy tailored to each choice of meats. There was attention to detail on every element on the plate. So refreshing to see a pub take such pride in its quality and turn out faultless and delicious food. I look forward to visiting again. Thank you and thanks for making a fuss of Leo, my Labrador. He loved it as much as I did!

A lovely shop selling arts and craft products as well as a cafe. A lot of the craft products are made by local people and are of high quality and reasonably priced although you do have to pay by cash for these pieces so the crafter gets the full amount. Sensible and fair. The food is fresh and well sourced, cooked fresh to order and delicious. My wife had a slice of yummy toblerone cake and a hot chocolate, I had a bacon and sausage sandwich with a delicious homemade tomato chutney and a coffee. Very tasty. The staff are really friendly and polite, order at your table and add to the experience. We are are on birthday weekend away and are going to have breakfast there tomorrow before we head for home. Totally recommend it for both the food, the welcome and the arts and crafts. A really lovely place to go.

4 of us went at 4pm for Sunday lunch, service was quite poor, food was totally unacceptable, yorkshires were cold, stuffing uncooked, needed a saw for the beef, veg were all cold, gravy was pretty good. We go here and The George quite often but was embarrassed taking friends here for such a poor experience. Did I complain, no, I had enough of a problem paying the bill, asked 3 times for the bill and had to go to bar to pay. This place is on a downward slide.
