We’ve visited hundreds of coffee shops around the country over the years and tried numerous cakes and desserts. I can say without reservation that the Apple and almond cake and Bakewell tart were the two nicest we’ve ever tasted. What a little gem of a coffee shop. Cheerful and welcoming staff and to top it all they’re dog friendly.

We had coffee and carrot cake and then brought the family for lunch (soup and sandwiches). Everyone liked it, including the young children, so we came back the next day for breakfast (shakshuka) and sandwiches for later. All home made and delicious

We have called in here twice in the past month with the dog and have been made very welcome on both occasions. The menu has variety with quality ingredients, locally sourced and all homemade. I have to say my flat white was the best I have had in a long time and I look forward to the next one. The selection of cakes look fantastic and the ones we have tried were delicious. They are very dog friendly which is nice and they gave out dog treats. The place is spotless including the toilet and the interior of the cafe is simple but nicely laid out. Thanks for being so warm and welcoming, we look forward to seeing you next time.

This fabulous little café is an absolute hidden gem. The staff are lovely, the café has a pleasant atmosphere and the food is great. The toasties were particularly good both in terms of quality and value, and the cakes were superb. Coffee was absolutely perfect, the best I’ve had in a while. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I caught the tea shop just before it closed and the two ladies couldn’t have been friendlier. We had a slice of the most delicious chocolate cake with wonderful coffees. Can’t wait to go back today and many more times 🧡🍊

A sweet little cafe, so glad we found it. Felt very clean and socially distanced, friendly staff and lovely relaxing atmosphere. Food was top notch and very well priced. We will definitely be visiting Hayfield more frequently to come here.

Marmalade was just what we needed before setting off on the next 10 miles of the Peak District Boundary Walk to Glossop - very friendly, nice coffee, super-tasty chocolate brownie to give us extra energy, and right next to the big car park on the Sett Valley trail which was the first part of our walk. A bit basic inside but the place is clearly popular even on a heavy cloudy day with rain forecast and it's spotlessly clean. There's a nice little seating area outside at the front, too, though far too chilly to sit out there this time. The crucial thing is that it's open, unlike Millie's the other side of the bypass which we headed for initially! Definitely recommended.

Cosy family run coffee shop in Hayfield. Clean, light decor and fresh flowers on the tables. Friendly and efficient staff. Good sized pots of tea and a nice selection of cakes. Easy parking at the bus station round the corner. Very happy customer.

Managed a child free late lunch here one weekend. Had tried a couple of times to visit but it had been closed so was happy to find it open. Weather was beautiful so we sat outside in the flower filled courtyard which was great. Food was simple but tasty. Look forward to returning for tea & cake.

Walking from New Mills Newtown to Edale via Hayfield, I was depending on a cafe being open on Monday morning. Thank goodness you were. The tea is excellent and the Malteser Tiffin was gorgeous, if a little hard to break into. Thank you so much... I've included you on my Pennine Pete Tumblr blog.

Totally excellent service, friendly helpful staff and good food. We come to Peaks often especially Hayfield and this is definetly the best cafe here. We are all back again in December and will be coming here every day.
