Cakefield Cakes Tea Room in Mansfield

Gemma and her Team made my Retirement Celebration with NottsHealthcare Nutrition and Dietetics Team extra special. Afternoon Teas where prepared beautifully, cakes were delicious and plenty to take home. The Tea Room has such a wonderful atmosphere and the Team is so attentive and friendly. 💎 You are all gems!

Could not fault this place, it’s my new favourite lunch spot! The staff are so unbelievably friendly and nothing is ever too much. The lady with the dark hair and glasses is fab. There are so many lovely touches from the decor to the dog station! The food is fantasic, the portion sizes are very generous and so reasonably priced as well as being so yummy! Will definitely be continuing to return!

Amazing food, great value for money, the place is adorable and staff are so helpful and sweet. Will keep coming back! xxx

Would 100% recommend Cakefield - Cakes to anybody, especially if you have a special event upcoming. I booked my baby shower here for afternoon tea, the communication prior to this was brilliant and I am so glad I booked it. On the day we were greeted warmly, the layout was fantastic, the aesthetics made the location beautiful. I was also greeted with a gift for my baby which I love, Tasha was absolutely brilliant, as was the young gentleman who also looked after the table was. A special mention to Tasha who made sure our tea pots were full and food was all out, I really felt like she looked after us. The food was incredible, everybody commented on how nice the food was and the cake to take home was lovely. We all had a wonderful time and I will not hesitate to book again, loved it.

Just been for my niece's baby shower and it was lovely. Food was delicious and because I didn't drink tea or coffee, I was offered orange squash, in a teapot... loved it! All the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Will definitely be returning!

Absolutely love visiting the tea room. It's a fab place, the staff are lovely and the food is delicious. Our latest treat was a takeaway afternoon tea which was easily ordered and collected and absolutely delicious, the cakes are AMAZING! I held my baby shower here earlier this month and we all had a lovely time, with many attendees commenting on how lovely the event, decor and food was! Communication with the cafe was excellent throughout and made organising the event very easy. The food was great and selection of options offered was fantastic! I was also able to bring some of my own decorations and able to put these up which was greatly appreciated. Overall, I definitely would recommend this cafe for similar events!

This place is just a jewel ! It is made with love . Beautifully decorated…fabulous food ..mega cakes ! Lovely staff! It has it all. I regularly go, often with friends ..it is our special go to place . I always have a lovely visit …just so special xx

Visited mid week with wife and granddaughter, lovely setting at the riverside. Nice clean venue, mostly favoured by ladies of all ages, great lunchtime menu and cream teas. We had ploughman’s and baguettes, plus gorgeous gateau for the ladies. They do have a wonderful gin selection, Prosecco, cider, and also my favourite San Miguel lager! (Enjoyed 3 halves). Excellent service, nice table etiquette, sensible prices. Already been twice, don’t tell my mates!

Never been here before and my friend really wanted to take me!! Very nice place and so lovely with all the lights and China cups etc a really nice touch. I had a lovely ploughman's lunch it was really lovely and a lovely hot chocolate. My only downside was when we went to look for pudding 🍰 there was this beautiful cake on display with a lid on that we all wanted but the lady said you can't have that it's sold for afternoon tea's which is totally fine but would just have been nice not to be on display as the other 1 cake on offer didn't appeal as much as the one I couldn't have!!🥴🥴. I had a scone instead but the pieces of cake 🍰🍰🍰🍰 looked so lovely!! Very nice place though and the food was lovely. 💞💞.

I deliberated marking average on this review as the light lunch itself was nice. The premises are quaint and staff friendly. The negative is that I asked for a Cappucino coffee as per advertised on the Menu but with soy milk. I was served a regular coffee. When querying my order I was told a froth can't be achieved with soy which I know to be untrue but having remarked this I was then told the drink had been made in the microwave as they did not have a coffee machine. I can't imagine I'm the only customer to have been left disappointed having expected a barista style coffee, to have been served something which bore no resemblance to it and a poor tasting coffee at that too. I was very disappointed.

I could not recommend cakefield - cakes enough! They are the best afternoon tea I’ve ever had. Amazing customer service and so accommodating. If you are considering going get booked in and try it out for yourself

First visit after seeing this tea room on Face Book and very local,Lovely and clean, staff friendly and helpful were able to accommodate my dad's dairy intolerance, proper China cups and saucers and beautiful pottery teapot food really good and great value. Will definitely visit again

My daughter had her wedding reception at the tea rooms. On the run up to the big day Gemma went over and above to accommodate us, she was unbelievably helpful. We had afternoon tea for 50. The weather held so we were able to use the secret garden. It was just magical, the food (freshly made on-site) was gorgeous and plentiful, all served on china plates. There was salad, crisps, 4 types of sandwiches, jam and cream scones, chocolate mousse with strawberries decorated with a chocolate heart, fairy cakes and cream slices. Gemma also provided the wedding cake and cupcakes, plus Buck’s Fizz on arrival. Tea and coffee in big china tea/coffee pots. The garden was decorated beautifully, we had organised a singer for evening entertainment and we had a light evening buffet with chips…..not that any of us could mange much after such an amazing tea. Service was brilliant, friendly, helpful, speedy and unobtrusive. Really nothing was too much trouble, they even humoured my 8 year old grandson who was set on collecting the little jars of jam. It was a fantastic day, and prices were very reasonable……I cannot praise Gemma and her staff highly enough

Cakefield's went above and beyond for my daughter's birthday afternoon tea, nothing was too much trouble, all the staff were polite and pleasant. The cake room its self is quaint and welcoming, The food is delicious and presented lovely. Overall I would highly recommend Cakefields tea room and will be visiting again 😊

I feel compelled to write a review for Cakefield Cakes Team Room to redress the balance and ensure that the first review people read is not such a negative one. My wife and I have visited Cakefield Cakes Team Room on two occasions so far, sampling a variety of items from the menu and I cannot speak highly enough of both the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff. Everything is fresh, delicious, plentiful and great value for money. We have visited and eaten at many team rooms over the years, and I can honestly say this is one of our favourites and one we intend to visit again in the future.

The owner was rude when I confronted her about the sandwiches. The food was terrible and so was the service will not be going back again.

A beautiful little tea room to eat in or out. A wide variety of drinks, sandwiches large or small served in China cups and on China plates . The food is freshly made and delicious would highly recommend to all.

Had the pleasure of visiting this awesome tea room at the weekend. Lovely outside area by the river. Despite being busy we were attended to promptly. Food was great and staff were polite. Thank you and we will be back again soon!

Went for breakfast and then afternoon tea on way home. Amazing service staff couldn’t be more pleasant or accommodating. Was busy so expected to wait but was pleasantly surprised with the swiftness of service. The garden out back was amazing with beautiful views. The inside was pleasant, clean, spacious, well spaced tables and welcoming. Toilets were spotless and staff were fast to clean tables on people’s departures despite being busy. All staff were suitably dressed and wore either masks or visors. On the whole an amazing day out begging and ending with this super quaint tearoom.

Staff was rude had trousers on that were rather short..looked silly(owners nephew apparently) hpre booked and ordered 1 afternoon tea without cheese products (sandwiches). Got here and they all had cream cheese sandwiches on had to wait for replacements. Clotted cream was frozen on 3 of the 4 teas. Over charges £5.50 for pot of tea..was reimbursed but not the point. No fruit as stated with the mousse...not as expexted..was also rushed out as staff wanted to go home and get in the sun.(her words) Taking 1 of our half drunk cups of tea and 1 full pot of tea away..the extra teas we had purchased

We stumbled across this tearoom whilst out cycling on the Teversal trails. Good old fashioned service, quickly brought over menus and took our order for a beer, glass of wine and two pieces of cake. The cake portions were very generous and very yummy! Couldn’t eat it all but they were happy to wrap up our leftovers for us to take away. The menu looked great, scones, afternoon tea, light lunches,children’s portions too, to name a few. Highly recommend.
