Every time ive used these guys to stave my hunger theyve delivered 100%. yes you may wate for them to cook as you order but boy is it worth it. The fish batter crisp and good fish. Chips chunky and always piping hot. What's not to like? Having been to there Clifton competitor, these guys knock spots off them.

Terribly overrated with long queues. Although the queues are hyped about on social media the queue jumping isnt. Nothing but average products. Last review they got deleted.

This pub is a gastropub. Really good old English atmosphere. Good food. We were expecting an enjoyable evening. We didn’t have one. I ordered a meal from the kitchen. My guest is vegetarian. There was only one vegetarian dish on the menu which he didn’t want so he chose a pizza. We were told that the pizzas were made in a different kitchen and that it probably wouldnt arrive at the same time as mine. We assumed a delay of about 5 to 10 minutes. My meal arrived about twenty minutes after we had sat down. My meal was good. My guest’s meal arrived 45 minutes after we arrived and well after I had finished eating mine. It was embarrassing sitting with my guest waiting with him for his meal to arrive. We spoke with staff several times. They were apologetic but the pizza still took some time to arrive at the table after we had alerted them to the problem. We were told that our pizza hadn’t been forgotten but that a large takeaway order had caused the delay. We eventually asked for the pizza to be boxed up as a takeaway and left the pub when it arrived. The management didn’t charge us for the pizza and didn’t charge us service charge but the experience they had managed to provide us was not good.

Arrived at venue and parked for free on front of property. There are only a few spaces, so parking is limited. No one at bar on walking into venue so had to wait to be seen. Shown to room 4 above pub. Stairs were not steady, no hand rail. Room itself was disappointing but clean, as was shared toilet and bathroom. I had asked for decaf tea and coffee which they had provided in room. TV in room 4 was not pluged in to socket or TV aerial and there was no remote control. On plugging in there were no stored channels on TV. WiFi in room was a poor signal. Saw the kitchen and decided not to eat here.

As some one who grew up enjoying real Cornish Pasties in the county, it has been hard to find good examples over the last twenty years. This business claims to be the oldest Cornish Pasty maker in the world. The odd one I have eaten from Warrens over the years, the most recent this year have progressively gone down in authenticity and up in price. If you are a tourist experiencing this shops pasties for the first time, or have been eating them ten years or less, they can barely be described as a Cornish Pasty. They are small, lack taste and are sold for top dollar. Basically Warrens is a marketing exercise to rip off tourists. Try Philps in Hayle or Pengenna Pasties. Philps use traditional methods and ingredients handed down over generations in their family, do Warrens? Wonder if they will reply to this review.

Entered the shop at 2:45 to be told "we are closed, I've got to do the school run". Loads of cakes on the counter behind her, would have taken 30 seconds to sell us two cakes. Rotten service. We buy cakes here a couple of times a week, but won't be doing so again. Very disappointed.

This branch always seems to be a mess as it's so small and stuff is everywhere. The staff have little craic (unlike those at the Monument branch who are great). Could do with taking the COVID shields away as well unless it's now used as protection from the homeless folk who hang about the entrance. Today the Ham Salad Baguette had the texture/ taste of yesterday's. The Apple Juice was not chilled and tastes about half as appley as Tesco's 500ml meal deal bottle. All was not quite lost though as the Belgian Bun was delicious. Value was OK at £4.85 had the sandwich and juice been nicer.

Relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Good quality ingredients well cooked, to order - both cleared our plates. Delicious coffee.

Fantastic shop. My parents always go here and they love it. I had a venison pie and it was beautiful, one of the nicest pies I've ever had. Total bargain at £2.20 too. The lady serving was really friendly and helpful as well.

Decided to go to an independent cafe and saw Poppy. On entering the server wasn't very welcoming and didn't greet me smile etc. The front area is nice and bright and looks inviting. The back area where i sat was a combination of storage and tables. It was very dark and depressing and had a cold feeling. It was like two completely different places. The pot of tea was very average. When I went to pay she didn't tell me the amount just put the card reader in front of me and I had to read the price from there. A very disappointing visit. I won't be back.

We ate in the restaurant on the 5 nights it opens- Tuesday to Saturday. There is a good choice of food starters, mains & desserts all freshly prepared and nicely served by friendly staff. We enjiyed all the items we had & the wine was good too. You can also visit the Hat & Lemon bar for drinks and cocktails.

Wonderful experience! Food was brilliant. Argentinian asado cooking with an asian twist. We want to do it all again next year!
