The food was well presented and very tasty, however, there was only one vegetarian choice on the menu which was a veggie burger. The website menu showed more than this so it was disappointing to find that this was all I could have. Some meals were served on a wooden platter which was fine for me but some of our party requested plates as they didn’t like this idea. There was plenty of choice for meat/fish eaters and gluten free options also available. Just wish there had been an alternative to the burger.

Stayed for Bed & Breakfast in this lovely country pub. Breakfast was excellent with many choices and dinner in the evening was also extremely good quality and value. Very nicely presented and served.

Appalling online booking system. Arrogant, accusational and confrontational owner. Poorly trained inhospitable poor young hospitality staff. Total mess up caused totally by the pub for our Christmas Day meal made even worse by trying to blame us, lying on trip advisor about phone calls being made to me (no record on my phones and no messages left - so who did Sally the manager actually speak to as it certainly wasn’t me) and their emails to me going mysteriously astray, when no other emails to me have suffered this fate. This was once a nice pub. Many years ago. Now: Avoid avoid avoid

We stayed for one night after Xmas shopping at the Clark’s village in Street. This lovely Inn with rooms is only 5 miles away. The welcome and check in from the lady at the desk were fantastic. She was naturally polite and helpful, not put on at all. Our room was very clean and spacious with everything we needed and lots of hot water for a relaxing bath. Homemade cookies were a nice touch too. We ate in the pub and can also say that this was a lovely experience with great food and a roaring fire. All staff were very friendly and provided fantastic service. Breakfast the next morning was also great with locally sourced ingredients. We will return, Thank you.

My wife and I both have Shepton connections but had never been to the cafe before. Having g recently retired, we called in for a toasty and a sandwich. The food selection is brilliant, prices really reasonable (no £8 sandwiches here), and the staff really friendly. Sadly, the cafe is up for sale but we really hope to get the chance to return before it closes or goes upmarket.

Booked a table for family of five for Halloween Service was polite and friendly, didn’t have to wait too long for our order and the meals were all hot quantity & quality was amazing. We all had fish & chips but there are other options of things to eat. Definitely value for money and will definitely be returning again

The refurb of this place is of a very high standard and the staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the food lets it down. Primarily, if you don't like burgers or fish and chips, find somewhere else. I visited with a friend and although my fish and chips were good, my friends meal was first served on completely cold vegetables. On pointing this out to the waiting staff, she offered a replacement which, we expected would be a plated meal with hot food. Unfortunately it was delivered as a pile of veg and potatoes thrown together in a tin dish. Not ideal and a real disappointment. Probably would not visit again.
