As some one who grew up enjoying real Cornish Pasties in the county, it has been hard to find good examples over the last twenty years. This business claims to be the oldest Cornish Pasty maker in the world. The odd one I have eaten from Warrens over the years, the most recent this year have progressively gone down in authenticity and up in price. If you are a tourist experiencing this shops pasties for the first time, or have been eating them ten years or less, they can barely be described as a Cornish Pasty. They are small, lack taste and are sold for top dollar. Basically Warrens is a marketing exercise to rip off tourists. Try Philps in Hayle or Pengenna Pasties. Philps use traditional methods and ingredients handed down over generations in their family, do Warrens? Wonder if they will reply to this review.

Warrens is the place to go for Cornwall's iconic treat, when you're west of the Tamar. I bought six giant (and heavy!) traditional pasties for work colleagues, all pronounced them gorgeous. See you next time...

Found this delightful upstairs cafe by chance and had some of the best vegetarian food for a long time. We were made very welcome and chose the hummus bowl and roasted veg toasted sandwich. Both were excellent and very filling.

St Stephens HillI've only ever called in for a beer but no complaints so far and staff are nice too. There's a big beer garden which is very useful for the kids and dogs.

2 East StreetThe ice creams here are beautiful! Really generous portions and are very well presented. The customer service we received was outstanding, my daughter had a massive meltdown (ASD) and they were nothing but supportive, understanding and helpful. We'd had a very tough day today with meltdowns galore and this one was by far the worst of the day yet I never felt alone or judged. People like you make the biggest difference and I am so very grateful for you going out of your way to help and care. Thank you x

A39Just had the most amazing pizza’s plus chips and a great choice of dips . All the staff were great and thank you to penny for sorting out our table reservation . We are all going back as soon as possible . And great value for money.
