Relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Good quality ingredients well cooked, to order - both cleared our plates. Delicious coffee.

We were a family group of 13 looking for a Sunday brunch. A lot of cafes in Epsom and Ewell were either closed or wouldn't take a booking. Staff at Kitchenette couldn't have been more amenable and the variety and quality of breakfasts served was way beyond expectations, all at a very good price. Smoothies were very popular with the youngsters. Highly recommended,

Visited at lunchtime, and was quite busy. The coffees were very nice - as busy needed to wait a while but the service was friendly

Visited with my husband one Sunday morning. Two guys sat down just before we did and they had to wait a very long time to receive 2 cooked breakfasts. In fact, one was served after waiting half an hour, and his companion wasn't served for at least another 20 minutes after that! The first guy had to leave his companion to get his bus. On arrival, I ordered a cappuccino and my husband a cup of tea and full English. We paid upfront (otherwise we would have left much earlier), and we waited...and we waited...no explanation or apology spontanously offered when the drinks and food all arrived together one hour later. Instead, l had to enquire as to what the problem was. Annoyingly, the cappuccino was really very good and the breakfast satisfactory enough to revisit on a regular basis each Sunday, which may happen if they get themselves better organised.

This is a lovely place to go for Sunday lunch. The food is always served hot and delicious and the staff are always friendly and attentive. The restaurant has a very homely atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed and comfortable! Especially on the area up the step. Would recommend to friends and family

Visited The Red Lion after recommendations and wasn't disappointed! From entering the hostelry and having a lovely warm and smiling welcome from Molly, we were promptly shown to our table. The restuarant was warm and cosy and spotlessly clean with all the waiting staff dressed smartly in a distinct uniform. Yes there was a little wait but the service and the food was amazing. We had the triple meats roast and couldn't fault the quality of the food, the portions nor how hot it was. We will certainly visit again as this is the best Sunday roast we've had in the Tamworth area since teturning 'home' to live in exactly 1 year .... simply the best ...

We stayed at the marriot as a party of 6 and booked into the restaurant for our evening meal.Firstly let me just say that this review is not a critique of the few staff who struggled to make the evening work but of the restaurant management who left the restaurant so terribly understaffed. Upon arrival we where shown to our table in the centre of an incredibly brightly lit room..no table cloth..no place mats ..just cutlery ..then the harried waitress said that due to lack of staff it would be quicker if we ordered our own drinks from the bar and carried them through to the restaurant. The restaurant was chaotic and it felt at times like it could all erupt in chaos at any moment ( I can only imagine the madness of what was going on behind the scenes). The food arrived ..my £20 burger and fries was on a par with a wethetspoons effort..my sons £20 veggie burger was just slices of uncooked haloumi in a bun and my wife's fish was merely tepid..didn't have the heart to mention this to the waitress as it looked like that kind of comment would have resulted in aprons being thrown to the floor and staff going home....I felt sorry for a couple who looked like they where trying to have a romantic meal in a room that looked like it was offering emergency relief to the needy. We ate in the restaurant the next morning and that was a different story ..a lovely start to the day which was much needed after the overpriced wetherspoons the night before...
