Little gem of a locals pub with really good food.

Very modern, clean decor. Food quality was fantastic. Incredibly friendly staff. Have been multiple times now and will continue to come as often as we can.

Great food, great decor, great atmosphere

Horrible experience. I do not recommend this place to anybody who expects to be treated with kindness and respect when dining out. The staff who attended to us were rude and un-accommodating. We we were treated differently to the other customers around us, as a black people, which was very emotional and sad to see in 2025. We wanted to order the platter but since we do not eat pork for religious reasons, we wanted to substitute the pork options in the platter for beef. I had visited less than a month ago and this was possible but was now told company policy has changed and you need to pay extra even if you are getting a cheaper meat as a substitute . When I asked when the policy changed I was told 6 months ago. Which didn’t make sense since I visited the establishment less than a month ago and was allowed this change. The waiter was very aggressive, claiming to be the manager when nobody had asked for or mentioned speaking to a manager then said people that don’t eat pork can either pay to change the items, order the items separately which is more expensive or leave and go and eat somewhere else. I usually don’t leave reviews but this was such a horrible experience, there was no accountability on their part for picking and choosing when to apply certain policies to certain customers and I would not recommend this place to anybody.

We called in whilst visiting Ludlow to do a bit of shopping. We had a look around and had two takeaway coffees. We were so impressed that we went back for lunch. We ate a pepperoni pizza outside which was absolutely delicious. Pizza was on a sourdough base and was to die for. My wife and I both agreed it was the best pizza we had ever eaten (we’ve had a lot) The lady owner was lovely, and a really good host. We bought a few provisions from the well stocked shop as well. Highly recommend

Really nice village pub, particularly after an event, and good food.

Such a wonderful evening - The most beautiful setting, amazing food, fabulous staff and just the loveliest vibes. We can’t wait to come back!! ☺️

We had 2 days here for conferences. The venue was fantastic, staff extremely helpful and lovely. Some of the team stayed in the Farmhouse and said how it was very comfy and cosy. Would not hesitate to use this venue again and i can see why it would also be popular for days out or weddings. It has everything going for it. I cannot recommend this place high enough.

A cosy, characterful place with excellent, reasonably priced food and drinks. The menu features all the smokehouse classics, done to perfection, plus some specials including the suicide wings (laced with Carolina Reaper!). We’ve visited similar places in nearby Nantwich and Baldwin’s Gate, but the food here beat them hands down, as did the service, which was warm, friendly and professional. We’ll be back!

Had sunday dinner here yesterday 2 courses 21 pounds. Food was lovely, soup and wings 2 start very genourous portions and really tasty. beef roast was beautiful..meet still pink and melted in your mouth. Staff very antentive but not overbearing. Will defo be back soon

I have had deliveries via Deliveroo from this restaurant on multiple occasions. They offer a fantastic service and delicious food. I usually have salmon with salad, flatbread and rice with some sauces on the side and a chocolate brownie with custard 😋, or some hummus or full bi laban and some melon drink or a milkshake. The only downfall is that the menu changed slightly on Deliveroo some months-a year back approx and the fries cost more (the original fries cost + extra, thus 4*) and I look forward to the restaurant reopening again very soon as I am disappointed to see its closed temporarily and I haven't been able to buy from there. Greatly recommended

Food was 10/10 they don’t shy away on the portions and food come hot will definitely be ordering again from here

Good curry at a good price. Very quiet for a Friday night.
