Our experience of lunch was nothing like the photos above or the experiences noted by other contributors The lasagne was served in a skillet, overcooked and a depth of approximately half an inch. While the risotto was said to resemble a rice pudding. A major disappointment was the chicken caesar salad, which was served in a small soup bowl, dried out chicken that had been cooked well in advance and priced at £14 A total unsatisfactory eating experience

Had a fantastic evening meal at the Plough Inn! The outside seating area was great and well kept and the service even far from the staff was still very good. Also the staff we helpful and polite. The meals were fantastic, superior to 'regular' pub food and what I'd expect in an actual restaurant. The beef cheek was delicious! And our starters were great. We had our dogs with us which was no trouble to the establishment or regulars and we felt welcome there. I recommend the Plough Inn to any travellers, it's worth stopping in on the way through or if you are in the area.

While at cotswold wildlife park me and the family decided to stop for some food on the way home. Came across a pub called The Plough Inn. Wow. Such a lovely pub in a stunning area. On arrival we were greeted by a lady called Mary Jayne who was both very polite and welcoming. We were then served by the landlady Helena. Absolutely amazing service and so good to my family. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel like special guests. Such a tranquil place and all the staff so nice. I'm a first time customer and will definitely be returning. The food was top class too. Thankyou so much to all the staff at The Plough Inn.

Great find whilst we were staying nearby. Really friendly local pub that welcomes dogs. We initially went for an evening meal, the braised beef cheek just melted in the mouth. We enjoyed it so much we went back for lunch the following day. The goats cheese salad was delicious and the ploughman’s lunch was huge! Our dogs were made very welcome and so were we. Highly recommend a visit.

What an absolute gem of a pub! Booked to eat here with my friends and so glad we did. Everyone's food was delicious and fairly priced and the choice of beers was excellent. What really made it so special were how friendly everyone was, both the employees and the locals. We were made to feel so welcome. I had to move our booking to a later time on the day, but nothing was too much trouble. There was a beautiful roaring log fire and a lovely outdoor space as well. Highly recommend!

We were looking for somewhere to have dinner in the area. While travelling down Foss way we past a sign for The Plough. Thankfully Paul our driver decided to to turn round and find the pub. On a very cold wet May Bank Holiday Friday we walked in to the pub to be greeted by very nice staff and local customers. The spit Roast Chickens cooking over The warm open log fire really added to the atmosphere. For starters I plumped for the garlic King prawns my friend had the leak home made leak and potato soup with Crusty Bread and butter, and our wife's decided to go for the Olives in a balsamic dressing. For mains, we had two x half spit roast chicken with large homemade fries and coleslaw one had the Fish Fries and home made minted mushy peas and tartar sauce and one had The baked haddock new potatoes stem broccoli with a white wine Jus. We compliment the chef when he came out to baste the Spit Roast Chickens. There were wonderful selections of real Ales and wines. From the time we walked in until the time, we departed, the service was excellent. Couldn't fault a thing. A fantastic experience. Highly recommend The Plough. A good old fashioned traditional friendly country pub.

A little gem nestled between Moreton in Marsh and Shipston on Stour. Super welcoming staff, locals and landlord&lady who make a point to come and say hi and ensure everyone’s ok. The atmosphere (old beams and traditional pub feel) and especially the food is what sets the Plough apart - the menu is short and tight, which means freshness guaranteed. We had the spit-roast chicken, fish and chips and special of the day haddock cooked pan-fried. I was incredibly tasty and well-seasoned on its own, and served with an unbelievably flavour home-made white wine sauce. Fish is always tricky to cook and the mark of a good chef - it was a triumph and on par with much higher classed establishments, I couldn’t stop raving about it on the way home (we are fairly local). Well done to Lee the chef behind the food that is not just super tasty but also very well presented - this one is a keeper :-) We will be back and would thoroughly recommend to anyone who lives locally or is travelling in the area - 5 stars for sure !

My wife and I went for a drive, with the idea of visiting Bourton on the water. However after being stuck in traffic, we gave up. We carried on driving for a while and saw a sign for the Plough Inn. We decided to give it a go. Once we drove into the little village, we didn't know what to expect. We parked next to two small tractors running outside the pub. On entering the pub, we were made to feel welcome by a few of the locals. The bar staff were currently serving guests outside, one of the locals jokingly told us that it was 'help yourself' Saturday. 😝 Whilst waiting for the staff, we were charmed by the rustic looks inside, very classic pub looks. There was also an open fire with large piece of meat turning , the smell was incredible. Once we had scanned through the menu, we both had decided on the Braised beef cheek, layered upon mash, with seasonal veg and a beef dripping sauce. When the meals came out, my wife and I were pleasantly surprised. The way the food was presented and tasted was far beyond what we had expected from this little pub. It was delightful and something we would definitely return for. We had driven from Bristol and we are already planning when to return next. Hopefully stay in an air b&b nearby, so we can enjoy an evening with the locals. Would definitely recommend and I can't thank the Pub/Staff and locals enough for our experience, thank you! Steve and Anna Davies.

WELL WORTH A VISIT! What an absolute gem of an English village pub. We wanted a Sunday lunch and were staying nearby and booked our table the night before. Graham, the Canadian landlord is so friendly and the food he served was TO DIE FOR. We both ordered the sirloin beef roast. Generous portions of beautiful pink beef were served up with wonderfully fluffy roast potatoes, copious amounts of tasty gravy, a homemade Yorkshire and a lovely selection of vegetables - beautifully cooked. Absolutely one of THE best roasts I have ever had TBH. Superb value meal coupled with standout, efficient friendly service. You truly could not fault the experience. AN EXQUISITE MEAL! Had a two night stay at this little gem, the rooms are situated in an old listed building but are modern and spacious, the bathroom being huge with tub big enough for two, if you book direct with the hotel you get a wonderful breakfast included in room rate, we also had dinner here, small menu done perfectly and great cocktails, would I stay here again? In a heart beat. Also staff were lovely 10/10 My only suggestion would be to have a topper on bed as it was quite firm, but that’s personal preference.
