Such a cute little place, now run by the village community just outside of Welsbourne. Not many pubs like this around anymore. Super quaint and run by paid and volunteer staff to keep the pub running in the heart of the village. Local brewed larger too.

Beautifully cooked food - especially fish dishes. Well kept ale.

Gem of a community pub saved by the locals of Loxley, and others, keeping the heart of the village alive. Lovely meals served (Steak and Kidney Suet Pudding & Fisherman's Pie) with plenty of vegetables and a very tasty real ale (Falstaff's Folly). Best bit was the locals and management had a chat so a very warm welcome. Almost forgot, it's very dog friendly!

What a Christmas party the staff where brilliant. We had Morris men playing Christmas carols it was lovely. Well done everyone.

Great Christmas lunch today at the Fox. We had a party of 16, food was delicious and service was excellent. All were pleased and said they would come back.

Nice local pub with good food and ales

We stopped in for a pint at the end of a long drive, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Our two small dogs were welcomed too. Our dogs were a bit noisy so we asked if we could use the out door seating area which was lit with pretty strings of light. A good pint of guiness and a lovely welcoming space

Great old English Village Pub with a great village atmosphere

Walked in..never visited before...greeted by a couple of friendly regulars...so nice to see these days....food was excellent...Overall a very enjoyable experience brought about by such friendly people..Well done guys..

A massive thank you to the team at The Fox at Loxley, Stratford Upon Avon for hosting our wedding reception in The Meadow in September 2023. From the start of the planning process to the last dance on the big day, The Fox were nothing but accommodating and extremely professional. We are so thankful for the pub and the Loxley community for supporting our vision and for celebrating with us. Its so great to see a lot of our wedding guests from Solihull returning back to The Fox for the Chef’s famous pies (what we ate for our Wedding Breakfast!). Our guests really cannot stop talking about the pies - honest! Forever a special place in our hearts & our family’s hearts, thank you again!

Visited this lovely community pub over the August bank holiday weekend with my wife. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, we had intended to spend time in the garden but unfortunately the weather was a bit inclement then decided to dine inside which wasn't a problem. A fantastic selection of cider and gin to choose from which suited us well. Starter's were prawn and salmon platter for the good lady and Chinese chicken wings for me, followed by chicken pie and the best fish and chips I've ever had for me. For afters i had sorbet and the wife had coffee. Just wanted to say a big thanks to all of the staff for a great evening we will definitely be back it's definitely worth the hour drive, just keep doing what you're doing absolutely spot on...

A lovely cosy country pub. We joined the Quiz hosted by Andy, and had an absolutely fantastic time. The quiz was tricky but not overly difficult and Andy made an excellent Quiz Master! Food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Delicious sandwich and chips. We were sharing and they split it onto two plates which is rare but very much appreciated. Beer was very good too.

This pub unfortunately has gone down hill a bit. The food is average and the lager is flat as a pancake! Staff come and go, very odd feeling inside.

Well cooked food and portion sizes are just about right.

Highly recommended food was perfect

4 booked lunch 2meals very poor peas like bullets large chips still frozen in centre . Vegetarian meal pie with vegetables and mash request chips instead chef would not allow this so had to pay extra for chips ( I think they are both potato) Did complain given 2 complementary sweets wish we hadn’t bothered . Within an 1 1/2 hours we were in and out they definitely want to close at 3 pm x Husband that night very sick was it the meal ? I don’t know .

Had some decent pub grub here, good portions and very hearty! I had a fish sharing platter and my partner had the Sunday roast! Great busy atmosphere! Would have stayed for a drink but had to drive unfortunately!

My husband and I visited The Fox because we were staying at Walton Hall and were disappointed with the restaurant there. The pub is beautifully refurbished inside and all the staff were so friendly. The food was delicious (we had fish and chips) and the chef also came out to see us. Food and drinks well priced and a lovely atmosphere. We would definitely come here again if we visit that area!

What a lovely, friendly pub to visit. Staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere. Food was tasty and reasonably priced and was typical pub food, which is not a bad thing. We were a party of 6 celebrating my son's birthday and nothing was too much trouble. Would I visit again- definitely 👍

Discovered this pub as we were out in the area visiting charlecote park. The staff are very welcoming and accommodating to us when we hadn’t booked for food. Thanks to the chef Charlie for feeding 2 very hungry travelers. Lovely pub.

A very warm welcome greeted us as this lovely country pub. It is very clean and decorated in a modern style. We ordered the fish and chips, particularly as it is gluten free, a real treat. On ordering we checked again about the dish being gluten free. We were also offered several different gluten free ciders. One brand was from a local orchard and very very nice. The meal did not disappoint a good size portion and absolutely delicious. The waitress was very helpful and friendly, we will be returning.

Friendly staff, great food, super ambience

Just back home after a lovely Sunday roast. A warm welcome from the friendly attentive staff, a good variety of local ales together with locally sourced produce made for an enjoyable lunch. Our dog was made very welcome as well. Will certainly be visiting again.

Lovely food, great value for money, lovely staff, lovely decor.

Service was excellent, friendly and lovely. Chef was away so staffed by volunteers but the fish and chips were lovely. Crispy chips and crispy batter. My wife had sticky toffee pudding with maple ice cream. Portions were generous. Highly recommend a visit.

We had a lovely evening at the fox with our dog. The food was excellent and the company was welcoming. The decor and ambiance was spot on. Don't be put off if it isn't busy.

A small group of us had a superb Christmas meal yesterday. The pub was well set up to meet current measures and we felt that we were very safe. We pre ordered from the Christmas menu which had options to suit us all. The service was excellent and the food really delicious. Our table was decorated with festive colours and crackers added too. We will be back in the New Year, maybe sooner. Thank you.

Have been going to Fox since it re-opened in May this year. Always friendly & welcoming, Hannah & Ryan are putting the Fox & it's traditional pub menu back on the map. Long may the Fox continue to thrive

Relaxed evening meal in pleasant surroundings, with good service

How beautifully modernised is the dining room at the Fox Inn, now run by some of the local community. It feels warm and welcoming. Service was fast and though the midweek lunch menu was a little limited,my cajun chicken curry was delicious, as was the ham, fried egg and excellent chips. It was quite busy for midweek with customers probably all from the local area. Will definitely return and congratulations to the community members for restoring it so well and giving the outside a fresh new look with lovely hanging baskets.

Had lunch today in the beer garden, food was excellent, service was excellent, nice varied menu and they were able to provide a gluten-free option for almost everything on the menu. They put a gluten-free warning sticker on the plate to ensure there was no cross-contamination which I thought was a clever idea to avoid any mistakes.

Recently re-opened and under new Management. Support a local village pub not far from Wellesbourne.

Great to see Ryan and Hanha tonight. Very welcoming. The food was great but I wouldn't have expected anything else from Ryan. Lovely place too worth the visit from Cornwall. Would recommend this pub.

Lovely Sunday lunch visit. Friendly welcome. Excellent service, very professional, knowledge and very attentive. Food was very tasty, hot and served in good time even with a full restaurant. Only disappointment was no beef left for our 1.45pm table booking, although the pork was good. Would recommend and would return.

I'm giving this place 3 stars at a push. + Visited recently for a "date night". The place is clean looking and you are warmly welcomed immediately. The table was clean and socially distanced. - Drinks.. they did not sell the alcohol we requested. What pub doesn't serve Southern Comfort! No Tia Maria also. Alternatives sought and given (ice / no ice) to wrong person. - FOOD. Oh how disappointing 😞 if you don't want to be disappointed, just order chips.

Super lunch at this community owned pub. The place was spotless, socially distanced tables and great care was taken by the Staff. We went for two starters the whitebait and hallumi, thinking we would had a pudding! We also had some cheesy chips too. The portion sizes were great couldn't eat all of my whitebait. We had a coffee and a complimentary shortbread biscuit an both of us agreed that it was the best shortbread we have ever tasted! This is a little gem of a pub and we wish them ever success. We will definitely be going back!👍💞

Had a great meal here. The pub is for sale. There is good local support for this place. They were busy The community is trying to raise funds to buy it.
