Me and my boyfriend came across this place when travelling through Warwick so decided to stop off and it was so worth it! The collection of cars was incredible and we spent hours looking through them all. Also would like to say thank you to a lovely volunteer called Ian. He basically gave us our own tour and shared with us so many interesting facts about the cars. It was so lovely to see his passion for cars - he really made our experience. Thank you Ian 😊

Wonderful collection of historic cars - other museums would have them all on pedestals, but here, there’s so many that there’s even an overflow storage area where some are just parked back to back ! Includes the first and last etype, the first landrover amongst many others. Also a great bunch of friendly staff who are willing to give some insight on the cars, should you ask them

Great place for a petrol head like me. Not enough time today, I will return. Jaguar/ Daimler heritage centre on the same site, included in the ticket, is fantastic. Cafe in the main museum is very, very good. Visit on the first Saturday of the month, and you may see Jaguars of all ages and sizes in the car park as the Jaguar Breakfast Club meets up there (unless an alternative site has been arranged)

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the British motor museum. I'm not necessarily a fan of British built cars however the history and quality of the displays was outstanding. I loved it. Plus I spoke to a number of the guides who were very well informed and extremely friendly. For anybody interested in cars of any type/brand, this is something you must do. I will definitely be going back!! Only downside is the very basic restaurant on site - consider eating elsewhere.

Brought grandson here on his INSET day. It's over an hour's journey but well worth it, we'll definitely be back & he'll be bringing his mum & dad next time. Such a lot to see. I liked the way social history of the factories & wartime activities were presented. Someone who isn't a car buff can find plenty to interest them. The volunteers were great, so knowledgeable & explained things to 6 yr old (who is a car enthusiast) in an age appropriate way without being patronising. My husband (engineer & racing enthusiast) was in his element chatting to volunteers. A great day out with annual membership making it good value.

Not bad, but should be called 'the Birmingham motor museum' - there's hardly anything built outside the west Midlands on show. As Rolls Royce, Bentley, TVR etc are also British, this makes the museum look pretty biased.

Went to the British Motor Museum Oct 30. Had an excellent tour by volunteer Roger. He not only told us all about the cars in the museum, he was kind enough to show us his own car. Lots of Jaguars, Land Rovers and MGs. Super interesting even if you are not an expert. Ate lunch in the onsite cafe. Food was good and reasonably priced. Lunch was £10-15. Stopped by on my way back from a weekend in Birmingham by simply seeing the sign on the motorway! So glad I did. I was amazed by the selection of vehicles on display, particularly the cars from the 1980’s. It was amazing to read about and see up close iconic first and last cars off the productive line including the Mini, the Metro and the Montego. Monday was a perfect day to go as I can imagine this place gets busy at the weekends. I also had a guided free 45 minute tour with Trevor who clearly knew his stuff and it was very enjoyable. The cafe food was also excellent and the staff were very pleasant. Highly recommended. 🚘

Of all the many car collections, motor museums or automotive things I've gone to over the decades, this is one of the absolute best I've gone to. Really nicely laid out, super accessible and lovely in the main building, and just so many cars in the newer secondary building. There's whole specific exhibits for motorsport, prototypes, TV cars and then whole rooms dedicated to Jaguars and Vauxhalls. If you love cars, this place will blow you away, and there's also so many volunteers who will give you in-depth special views of things on the cars if you're interested. Just a wonderful day out for a motor head.

This is a review for the unfair booking system and not the motor museum itself. I mistakenly booked a couple of tickets for the British motor museum ( very far away from us) instead of the Beaulieu motor museum ( near us). Realising my mistake a few minutes later, I tried to get my transaction cancelled by contacting the museum but I was told the pay desk couldn’t do that. However, I would be able to ask for a refund by e- mailing admin as there was no one in admin at the w/e. A few days later, as no one answered my e-mail, I got through Tracy Biggs at admin who told me rather coldly there would be no refund as per terms and conditions. No empathy or even an apology for not reading /replying to my e-mail. Not very charitable for a charity!

Disappointing this time around. Online ordering was difficult (spam verification page kept popping up). Toast underdone, grit in mushrooms, watery scrambled eggs with too much chives, not sure the sausages were good (slight sour taste). Great atmosphere though. Might just be me, but there are many other places serving good breakfast nearby.
