Today was the second visit to the coffee shop and it couldn't have been more far removed from our first time. The gentleman making the coffee seemed to be struggling in general, having to be prompted by his colleague on what and how to do simple tasks. In relation to my order specifically - two large caramel lattes, one with oat milk - he first made them both with regular milk. Then he made the oat milk but it was a small. After handing it over to him so he could remake it correctly for a third time, he simple poured in a LOT more syrup and while I didn't see him add any more milk he claimed he added additional hot milk from the steaming jug, suggesting he used too much milk to begin with. I asked him to remake it and he refused saying I should try it first. After already waiting 10-15 mins for the drinks, and not wanting to pour scalding hot coffee down my throat at his behest I just left. This shouldn't need to be pointed out but the difference between coffee sizes is of course the amount of coffee as well other components. It should not be just extra milk (if there was any added) and a load of extra syrup. Given the religious platitudes plastered all over the walls you'd think they'd be more accommodating especially when they're at fault. Such a shame as the first time we visited the lady behind the counter was a joy to speak to.

Never been before but as all the other cafes in Southam close early tried it out . Compact downstairs but belive they do have a 1st floor . Friendly service with usual drinks choices at fair price also cakes etc on offer. We was a small party of 4 meeting up for a chat and felt comfortable and although not large area we did not feel cramped and we was not rushed out the door at 4pm . Been back a few more times . Ideal if want a nice quiet place out the way thats not a trendy busy venue . Good service!! Always clean and tidy . I belive a outside seating area Did try a scone which was A1 ..

We called in here on a first visit for a break in our journey. It was a brilliant experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The drinks and toasties excellent quality and value, but it was the little touches that added so much to the visit. The already spotless table being cleaned the minute we sat down, the customised toastie, the choice of cup or mug, the dish for the tea bag and the coffee being topped up immediately when discovered it was taken black. Such a change from the big chains. We will certainly be back.

Lovely well priced coffee shop. The baguette and toastie we had were lovely. We also had hot choc, it wasn't too sweet. It was lovely. Just over £12 for the two off us. Seating inside and outside. Outside was lovely and had a cuttie to a free town car park. Service with a real smile. We'll be back x

Most weeks I have lunch at the Gateway Coffee Shop with a group of friends. We always have a friendly welcome from the wonderful volunteers who serve us.The menu offers various sandwiches/toasties/paninis, jacket potatoes, a daily soup and range of cakes alongside a choice of hot or cold drinks.Seating space downstairs is limited, however there is more upstairs. Toilet facilities are also upstairs, which may be an issue if someone is not very mobile. There are other more accessible facilities nearby in the town though.Plenty of free parking nearby also, as well as various local shops to browse.

It’s a cute café for having a good time. The food is delicious. The waiter and waitress are really friendly and absolutely helpful by asking about allergies and intolerances. You can give money for suspended meals to help people who can’t afford a meal or a hot drink. It’s run by the church and The Helping Hand Project.

New to the area, asked my barber where to find a good coffee and BB's was recommended. You'd easily miss it if you weren't looking, but it's well worth a visit. The coffee was fantastic and I've never seen that much bacon on a sandwich, really hit the spot! Clearly popular with regulars dropping in all morning for their usual orders. Save yourself the small fortune buying from the familiar high street chains and treat yourself for something with ten times the flavour and a great price.

Lovely village pub with a great beer garden for summer. Only popped in for a quick drink. Didn’t have the opportunity to try the Sunday roasts but they looked and smelled amazing so will definitely be back to try them in the future

Wonderful restaurant right on the bank of the Avon river. Small and cosy with super reliable food time and time again. Great for Sunday lunch, a mix of traditional and other modern dishes for startes and mains. Some great wines as well. Wonderful roast duck typically on the Sunday menu, and whilst a little pricey as a supplement, it is to die for. Great selection of specials make this great value restaurant ever interesting! UPDATE on new years day after a fab lunch on Christmas eve......pictures from New Years eve. Whatba perfect way to start the final festivities; a casylual country ramble to The Bridge Inn with my son for Christmas Eve lunch! Second in, we mused over the original yet familiar menu, side by side with an innovative Christmas special menu with a cheeky Peroni. I went for the seared scallops with crispy bacon served on a perfect complimenting crushed pea base... the scallops were perfectly cooked with a thin crispy Crust but succulent body and roe. My son had the perfect poached egg on a festive and rich black pudding potato cake. For mains, my son chose the satisfying steak burger, whilst I went for an old favourite, veal Holstein. The saltiness of the anchovies perfectly enhancing the egg and bed of freshly wilted spinach. I finished off with the traditional Christmas pudding, whilst my son opted for the ample assiette de fromage, with which we finished the velvety Cotés du Rhone. It's such a delight to visit the Bridge and I am looking forward to New Years day lunch for exactly the above reasons. Living in the surrounding areas to Bidford, we should be so appreciative of such a jewel in the culinary crown, without the need to hike of to Birmingham or Cheltenham along with the taxi fares and or drinks restrictions that that might incur. The Wetherspoons, Fullers and McDonald's of this world will always be there as long as punters have cash to spend, but like Purnells in Birmingham which has vapourised taking £38k of future customers money with them, we should all savor the delights of local excellent cooking such as this for as long as possible, and hopefully beyond the Bridges 20 year anniversary in 2025..... or risk being restricted to a baron culinary landscape in the future! Super, time after time and great value!
