Overall we had a really good time. Would not recommend this for large parties that are on the louder side since the rooms don’t have doors.

We took our mother here for her 83rd birthday! It was the first tea time party for everyone except me. But was my first time here. The food was so good and the tea was amazing. The room was private and the service was exceptional. We will have to do this again.

My daughter was visiting and we did the Tea and Tipsy. We went with the teas they recommended with the courses. The Wonderland Cake tea was our favorite. The service was top notch and so friendly. We were in room 3 and had a nice view of the Sandia's. we checked out up stairs where there is a large room for bigger parties. Loved our experience and will be going back.

This is my favorite tea spot. I’m from Albuquerque, but I currently live in Dallas and can tell you there is no experience like this there. Every time I come back this is where I go for a good spot of tea. It’s elegant, we get a new room and a new menu every time. The staff is also always phenomenal. Thank you for creating such an amazing environment to have tea in.

The Ivy tea room is absolutely wonderful. We celebrated my mother and daughter's birthday. It was a beautiful, special, and memorable experience. I love EVERYTHING about The Ivy Tearoom. It's super chic, trendy and instagramable. The service and quality is top notch. There is absolutely nothing negative I could even think of to say.

Easy to find, although I expected there to be larger grounds/property. Very cute, nicely decorated rooms, nice gift shop, purchased tea hat and a tea. The time was about right (2 hrs for three courses). I wish it there was an option for open seating. It would have been nice to see and interact with other people versus the private rooms. The tea was very good, the food was so so. Some of the items were good, some were just okay and it would been nice to have one or course item of substance. I suppose fine for afternoon tea but we arrived at noon and maybe arrived hungry. Overall a pleasant experience. Would try another tea house to compare.

I went the day after Christmas with my mom and my boyfriend, and we had a wonderful time! This was our first time visiting the new location, and the addition of private suites is so lovely! The rooms have call buttons so that the staff don't interrupt your experience by checking on you but you're able to ask if you need anything, and I love it! We ordered extra teas and mocktails with our menu and it was so delicious! Everything was excellent and we'll definitely be coming here when we're next in town!

Ivy Tearoom is a beautiful space to spend a morning or afternoon tea and snacks time. My friends and I visited for a birthday celebration, and we were all blown away by the incredible variety and options of tea. The snacks were equally impressive, perfectly complementing each drink. To top off our delightful day, we ended it with a mimosa, which was simply amazing!

I took myself on a little solo date and it was lovely! It takes a little getting used to eating from a coffee table from the cozy chairs (not sure if all rooms are like that). All of the teas were super fragrant and it was a nice amount of food! They noted that I was vegetarian from my reservation and even double checked any preferences or additional considerations for tea.

What a marvelous experience with my daughter in law and granddaughter. We loved our private room which was decorated on point! The food and teas were delicious and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this tea room!

My family of 4 and I had an absolutely amazing experience! The food was great and the tea amazing! Out server did a great job at explaining what to expect and telling us about our food and tea. The experience was not rushed and we were able to just enjoy our time. I loved the online booking process and the ease of being able to reschedule so easily! As a visitor from out of state we had to reschedule but the online ability to do that was a great option to have! Finally, I really wanted to buy some tea and the one I wanted was not on display, the owner was amazing and mixed some in the back for me!!

Super easy to book and pay. We had a severe corn allergy in our party and instead of abandoning the menu, the owner spoke to her beforehand went line by line through all menu items and ingredients. The owner ended up changing a few items so she still got to partake!! Everything was delicious! Service was over the top exceptional. Will be back!

We had a wonderful time tonight at the Ivy Tearoom! We were so grateful that they went out of their way to accommodate my mom’s food allergy. We called ahead to inquire about ingredients and they were incredibly helpful and modified dishes as much as possible so that she was able to eat without worry. The food was delicious and the tea was great. There were so many options that we can’t wait to go back and try more flavors!

The tea was very good and so was the waitress that we had. I was expecting a nice elegant room and environment which was not met. I would definitely just save my money for St. James tea room. The environment there is much better than the experience I had at this tea room.

Went there for my 18th birthday celebration. Food was okay and tea was the best part. Although the whole experience was great, my friends and I tried to clean up tissue paper and gift wrap to the best of our ability to not have them clean up so much. So it happens as we step away it makes its way to the floor without us knowing. One of the workers tried her best to be nice but it was very passive aggressive, over exaggerating that “the trash was all over the floor” and that it was unfair to her bussers. (Although that’s exactly what your bussers are getting paid for.) So my friends and I went back to the room and took the trash home to throw ourselves.

I don’t want to rate any lower because I’m not here to be unjustly critical of a small business. This was a highly enjoyable time for me and my friends. It’s beautiful and we really enjoyed the tea and food. Before you can even start to have a good time, you first have to get through the RULES. The paperwork and pre pays and check boxes and confirmations all exist for a reason I’m sure. But if you have such strict hoops to jump through just to get in the door, then expecting minimum customer service is reasonable. I tried calling about 8 times on different days and times while they were open and never got an answer. Me and my friends work on call and one member of our party had to withdraw but I thought it was okay because I called 2 days in advance. I truly believe that 72 hours for modifications to a reservation when you have a pre fixed low cost/inventory is wild. I tried calling several times. The outgoing message said to text if there was urgency. I left a message and didn’t hear back for over a day. Because I work on call, I missed when they called back but listened to the vm which said if I wanted to modify there was no refunds just credit for that session. Getting a tipsy tea session with coworkers and then using up a $70 booze credit seemed unwise and unsafe. Since I learned they wouldn’t answer the phone, I decided to keep the reservation as is and invite someone else. When I arrived there was an awkward, too long, and impolite exchange because they had automatically removed a person from the reservation without telling me in the voicemail or asking if that’s what I wanted. It was pulling teeth to just get another tea cup brought to the table and made the added guest feel like we didn’t want her there. I was 5 minutes late and that seemed to be a VERY big deal to the tea house (traffic happens)? We had already been warned that we needed to order but the guest mix up and a broken tea cup ate up way too much time. Our experience started off really awkward and stressful, I’m glad I was with people who rolled with the punches. After joking about how intense the rules were we had a great time. We were really really rushed throughout the whole experience but when we rang the bell for service, no one ever came. We never fully felt welcomed. I would totally try again, especially if someone else was dealing with the rules, contracts, payments, etc. I really hope that as a business, the Ivy chills out a little bit and let the guests enjoy and relax with their awesome offerings. Nothing in food service is all that personal so instead of trying to make a point, just answer the phone or bring another tea cup. Clarifying the rules yet again or making excuses serves no one. You have to be able to provide the same level of standards that you’re asking your guests to meet. Like Cher says in Clueless: “But it's like when I had this garden party for my father's birthday, right? I said RSVP because it was a sit-down dinner. But people came that, like, did not RSVP. So I was, like, totally buggin'. I had to haul ass to the kitchen, redistribute the food, squish in extra place settings. But, by the end of the day it was, like, the more the merrier!” “And in conclusion, may I please remind you that it does not say "RSVP" on the Statue of Liberty.”

Fun ambiance but the food was lacking and most seemed like pre packaged food from Costco. Tea was okay. Would prefer if each guest got to choose their own tea rather than sharing a teapot for each course. We also felt rushed and were interrupted quite often even though the staff were nice overall. If you're looking for ambiance and don't care too much about quality of food or tea then you will enjoy it.

I have experienced several afternoon teas, including others in the area, and I can confidently say that this was the best one. The service and food were exceptional, with each course perfectly paced to allow us to truly savor every bite. I’ve been to other teas where everything is placed in front of you all at once, which felt rushed—this experience was the complete opposite, with a thoughtful and elegant flow allowing my family and I time to finish each course. Thank you for being open during inclement weather, allowing us to celebrate a birthday in such a special setting. If you’re looking for a full tea service and fine dining experience, this is the place to go. We look forward to returning!

Over priced & lacking quality and experience, if you’re looking for a classy tea experience i would not recommend this place I had high expectations but was sadly disappointed EDIT: since the owner decided to respond I’ll add and extra layer to why I chose to give this establishment such a poor rating. It wasn’t not because I indeed booked for an upper level room but was giving a subpar replacement. As other reviewers mentioned the quality of food and just over all experience for a place that’s charging a decent amount of money was not it. Spent less internationally for a way better experience. Not to mention we got upgraded drinks only for one to come not as described and got a weird interaction when asked to correct it as, after spending as much as we did kinda wild to have such a underwhelming experience, But like others have mentioned it’s best fit for an early teenager not a classy adult teatime experience. Unappealing music was also blasting Which adds to the poor rating

First and definitely not my last tea experience! The hocus pocus theme was eventful! The tea was amazing, the food savory and sweet. Loved every minute of it with my friends for a girl's day! A must try! The building was beautiful decorated and the staff were fun and professional is their service.

Booked afternoon tea for a few friends and I. After being seated in a room full of scuff marks on the walls we didn’t receive water/tea/food for at least 30 minutes. When the first course finally arrived our baked portion was raw. The experience for the price was terrible. The food and lack of service ruined the experience. Would not recommend.

We are visiting the city for the first time and this was a last minute addition. This Tea experience was one of the absolute highlights for me. Pre-visit: There was a food allergy in my party so I called and they were closed but they instructed you to text. They confirmed it would be no problem within a few hours...on their off day! For those of you wondering there is a spot on the reservation form to note. Arrival: You are greeted with the most amazing ethereal garden with these adorable bubble areas. It is like a fairy wonder land. It would be amazing in cooler temps and to their credit, they don't rent them in hot months. The experience: Our hostess was amazing and knowledgeable about the tea offering. When my friend mentioned she didn't like the overtime almond flavor of our second course Tea, she was able to recommend a great alternative that aligned with my friend's flavor pallet. The tea is session is non-intrusive and really relaxed. There were several parties on the first floor but we still felt secluded in our own section. The food: Um! Amazing. My two favorite bites were the egg salad and the pesto bite. But all the food was epic. My friend seconded the egg salad and she is an egg salad hater. Her second favorite was the frittata. But I cannot stress this enough the food was top tier. I even took a egg salad sandwich bite to go that they were happy to whip up for me. Side notes: The rooms are Instagram worthy. I MEAN CHECK OUT THE PHOTOS! This whole place is a vibe. The bathroom is ada compliant and beautiful. So spacious. I cannot say enough amazing things about this location. We left with 3 bags or teas, an extra sandwich, stickers, and an amazing experience. If I could suggest a tiny thing. I would loveeee a sticker for your business. Otherwise no changes.. I hope to see you next year.

This is the perfect girl's day out. The atmosphere is probably my favorite of all the tea houses in Albuquerque. Very modern, cute and girly. The food is always a 10/10 and the service attentive. If you're looking to catch up with your girlfriends this is where you should go!

This was the most fun my mom and I have had in a long long time and we didn't even have to leave town! We felt like we were on a vacation in another country. It was beautiful and so lovely. A wonderful experience with my husband here with prompt and courteous service. We celebrated our anniversary. The savouries were delicious and the sweets decadent. The tea's were paired nicely with the courses. We chose the tipsy tea and it was an excellent choice. The room number 1 even matched with what I was wearing.

Shauna was a wonderful server and Andrea was wonderful to work with when making the reservation. The space is beautifully appointed, there's ample parking, the pours were excellent, the teas and food were very tasty. Even the men in our group who were hesitant about the idea of afternoon tea had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We very much enjoyed our time and will definitely be coming back!

I went for Mothers day with my daughter, and we both had a marvelous time. The food was fresh, tasty, and plentiful. I had a strawberry mocktail since I was driving it was beyond delicious. The atmosphere is more modern and American, while still being very relaxing, and providing the traditional aspects of tea. I plan on making reservations for the tipsy tea very soon.

Reserved over a month in advance and specified allergy to gluten in the notes. No one called to inform me that they couldn’t accommodate. I was given a small meat and cheese platter with chips from Costco. My partner had three rounds of low quality tea snacks. I was also made fun of for dressing up in a “Halloween costume” as I overheard staff and a customer gossiping. The staff and other customers were dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. If you want to have subpar tea, cheap appetizers, and terrible customer service in what looks like a teenager’s bedroom for $100+, this is the place.

Would highly recommend planning a visit here if you like tea. When you first get there, you see a cozy court yard with a nice seating area. Once you walk inside, you are greeted by the sweetest people, and they have a shop area to buy your tea and all different kind of accessories. We were taken to one of their rooms and got served three different types of teas with explanations on them and the best way to drink each one to get the most taste. Along with three different settings of food, which were all so yummy! The menu does change, so make sure to keep an eye on it if there is something you really like make sure you go try it. Will difently be coming back again soon!

The Ivy Tea Room is under new ownership and let me tell you…it’s amazing! It’s beautifully decorated with posh furnishings and decor. The food exceeded my expectations. I actually left full and satisfied. The staff is beyond amazing and the owner, Andrea is WONDERFUL! This is a must try.

Pleasant atmosphere and good quality food. It was a high end tea room. Our service was very attentive and friendly. Very elegant and pretty rooms. Each room was decorated differently. High quailty food. It was served in courses which was different than I have had before. Great selections of teas to choose from. Have a small gift shop to shop in. My only suggestion would be that they need one more thing in each course. Needed a bit more to eat. The only negative also is that they charge you for all of it the second you book it. Not just a down payment. And you don't get a refund if a emergency comes up. Otherwise a great, fun experience.

They now have a kids tea available so I was able to share the tearoom experience with my 9 year old granddaughter. Thanks Ivy Tearoom! She loved the entire experience and wants to go back again.

It's a beautiful restaurant. We had a lovely time. Great tea and snacks. Everything I tried I did truly enjoy. It is on the pricey side of things, so be prepared.

A lovely experience! The inside is so chic. It's so cool that they have alcohol options here too. The portions were plenty for two and everything was actually delicious. It tasted fresh and was full of flavor. The cucumber sandwich was the best I've ever had. I really liked how each course was timed and not brought out all together. Each course the server explained the teas and food. They gave recommendations for everything, even how to drink the tea (with it without sugar/milk). It wasn't too busy when we went and we never felt rushed. The room we were in at one point felt like the heater was blasting but then it cooled down. The Bellinis were so good. Would love to come back another month to try another menu! Aptly priced for the service, quality and food portions.

What a lovely tea spot! The decor is so lively and modern, not stuffy feeling but fancy. My 9 yo and I were able to go before the noon cutoff for kids under 12 and we had a great time. The teas were yuumy, all of the food was delicious, and we had pleasant service. Will be back!

This is as good as it gets. The lovely tea room gladly accepted a reservation for our large group for a private event in their upstairs room. It's wonderfully decorated, the food is incredible (you have convinced me that tiramisu can be made differently and be great!), and they are wonderfully accommodating. I have visited the Ivy Tea Room twice in February! It was fabulous! My favorite tea is the maple donut tea! Service was amazing and the environment and experience is like no other I’ve had in New Mexico! I’m going again in March! 💟☕️🧁🫖

The Ivy Tea Room is an amazing venue for small or large gatherings! We had a Galentine’s celebration with over 20 ladies (the most they had in their large upstairs room), and the customer service AMAZING! Their menu was perfectly planned out with delectable teas, and the upstairs room was a perfect venue for our girl’s celebration. The owner and servers were so accommodating and friendly. The new owner has definitely gone above and beyond to create a welcoming atmosphere and and enhance what has always been a pleasant experience. I will continue to come back and would recommend this venue for any occasion or just a nice evening out. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality and the delicious food! I can’t wait to come back and try your future menus and tea pairings!

I wasn't sure this was gonna be my jam, but the atmosphere, tea and snacks were awesome. I left feeling full and satisfied. Amazing hospitality.

Great place! Staff are amazing and the venue is one of a kind!

This was my first time visiting a tea service place. I have to say, everything was amazing! First, the place is easy to get to, and Google Maps knows the way. There is ample parking, and just as a side note, the entrance is off the parking lot, so do not venture around the side of the building toward what you would think is the front. The garden is welcoming, and you can reserve the little glass houses for your tea service. The entry and small tea shop are inviting and smell wonderful. The staff is so friendly and really makes you feel both welcome and important. Our tea room was cozy and beautifully decorated. The seating was comfortable and could have easily accommodated 6 people. The other rooms I got to see were also elegantly decorated and furnished in such a way that you could easily enjoy the time with your friends or lived one(s) without feeling overcrowded. The food, oh my, the food was amazing. Since it was my first time, I was worried that the food would not be filling, but I was way more than enough. We added the charcuterie board, which was also delicious, and we were way too full to finish that. Finally, we took the house recommendations for the tea and how to drink it. They know what they are doing and the pairing that works with each course. I also ordered the gift bags. Just as advertised, they were sitting at the table, nicely placed in a gift bag, waiting for us when we arrived. I recommend this place to anyone looking for an "experience" and not just some place to eat. As a husband, surprising my wife with this was well worth any effort I had to make (making reservations online) and any money I spent to make it exta special. Hint hint, men! Overall, I am looking forward to going back, I think we will make it a monthly date. The only drawback is that they don't allow kids under 12 years old, and I have a 9 year old that I know would LOVE this place and is absolutely well mannered. Rules are rules, I suppose. They did say they are working on possibly having a time when kids could come. Don't pass it up, absolutely visit this wonderful tea room, you will not regret it.

I really wanted to like this place based on the high reviews, but unfortunately, nearly everything was the exact opposite. There is no signage on the building, there is not enough parking and lot is unlit, the food was barely edible/store bought (Costco chicken salad, pudding from the box they called ‘mousse’, beet puree that tasted like dirt, and the last course was entirely frozen) and overly sweet, the tea was bland or tasted moldy (with the exception of one), service was awkward at best (absolutely pushing alcohol sales right off the bat), and the ambiance was not relaxing nor comfortable. The place is loud, not private, disorganized, and would barely be suitable for a 12 year old’s party. If you’re downstairs, you have flickering lights and can hear everyone upstairs above you, along with minimum privacy in your tea space due to tiny curtains that don’t even cover the opening. Nothing made this experience enjoyable enough to come back.

Are experience here was truly wonderful. I brought my wife here for Valentine’s Day . The staff were super helpful explained everything to the T. If you have never been here , definitely check this place out you won’t be disappointed. This will be our new jam. The owner Andrea was super friendly, thank you and your team for making are experience special !!!

Overall the food and teas were yummy and the service was friendly. I did feel rushed to choose all our teas. They seated our 5 person party in room 6 which is in the center of the building. No windows, and the temperature of the room was way too hot to be drinking lots of hot tea. The vibe was very homegoods decor meets Instagram. Not my vibe personally but it’s at least consistent throughout! I think if we had done an outdoor seating it would have improved my overall experience. They did accommodate our thermostat request right away and the service was overall great. The food was mostly wonderful minus one of our dessert options - a cheesecake blondie - which tasted just like sugar and nothing else. The other desserts/food were amazing though. For being a tea house I thought it was strange to only offer sugar packets, not cubes, or sweetener alternatives. Not even honey. Hopefully the new owner will consider this! Also know before you go: they don’t accommodate dietary restrictions.

First time visiting and WILL not be last :) The Manager and STAFF we wonderful :) Service and Food were great !!! Looking forward to more quality time with friends and Amazing experiences at Ivy Tearoom in 2024!!!

This was my first time here and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A little bit expensive for my taste but it was worth it for the serving size. I thought it'd be too small for the expensive price but it was worth it. Will probably go back again!
