We called in whilst visiting Ludlow to do a bit of shopping. We had a look around and had two takeaway coffees. We were so impressed that we went back for lunch. We ate a pepperoni pizza outside which was absolutely delicious. Pizza was on a sourdough base and was to die for. My wife and I both agreed it was the best pizza we had ever eaten (we’ve had a lot) The lady owner was lovely, and a really good host. We bought a few provisions from the well stocked shop as well. Highly recommend

Stumbled on Smokehouse Deli whilst searching around Ludlow to fill up our three children. The staff were brilliant and were so accommodating to the children. The food was great and just what was needed. We had the soup of day (Moroccan bean), Bombay Bun, mixed olives, humus, and the sausage and chorizo roll.

We popped in for coffee and a breakfast treat after reading about it online. What a little treasure trove of Italian goodies! We took our Mochas and pots of delicious tiramisu outside to one of the tall tables and enjoyed it all in the sunshine. The lovely lady who served us came out to check everything was ok. We took some tasty meatballs back to our cottage rental for tea along with some sweet treats. As we left, the lovely, friendly lady shouted goodbye and waved us off... what a lovely way to start the day!

We visited Chiccheti as they provide the breakfasts for guests staying at the Townhouse (see separtae 5 star review). The place is a real treat. Do not expect a full English because you won't get one, but you will feel like you are on holiday somewhere in the Med. rather than just off Ludlow High Street. Seating area is very characterful and the staff are friendly and helpful. The menu is really interesting and different. We had Turkish eggs (poached eggs, whipped yoghurt, chilli butter and toast) and quails eggs on naduja toast (naduja - spreadable salami - whta kind of crazed mind invents such a thing?). Do go there - you will enjoy it.

Probably the worst flat white I've ever had, overheated milk and didn't faintly resemble a real flat white. The meal was expensive and there was barely anything on the plate - £10 for practically nothing. I left cross and hungry. The Parmesan and Black pepper thing really is a bit old hat these days - if I want black pepper I want to put it on myself not have someone leaning over me with a giant pepper grinder, just put pepper on the table! I won't be going back here, rip off.

When away on holiday we like to find something different for breakfast. Gladly, we found the Smokehouse Deli. There is a large selection of breakfast items from which we selected the Turkish Eggs and fried eggs on nujula toast. The first of those had a lovely complex flavour and the second also had deep flavour plus a surprising heat which I very much liked but wouldn't be for everyone - it may not be as traditional but I like the toast would have benefitted from poached eggs as opposed to fried, which would complement the heat better.
