BBQ options and buffet were very good. But what really made want to leave a review was the staff. They were very attentive and kept the place very clean. They would watch if our grill was too hot and would replace it frequently. We came in with somebody who had a number of allergies as well and they were able to get a good kbbq experience too !

Their meal looked like it had many food options, but most of them were either bland or poorly prepared. The service was almost non-existent, with staff rarely paying attention. The dining environment was also disappointing - the tables and chairs were spaced awkwardly, making it very uncomfortable to sit and eat. Would not go back. The menu seems to have a lot of choices, but most of them are tasteless or poorly prepared. The service is basically non-existent and the staff completely ignore the customers. The environment is very bad, the tables and chairs are arranged in a strange way, and it is very uncomfortable to sit down and eat. No next time.

It was a very snowy Saturday night and we travelled to Tayudo because they are the ONLY CHARCOAL KOREAN BBQ in Birmingham. The service, outstanding. The meat fresh and delicious. The only Korean BBQ we trust to visit. The buffet also has a very good variety different foods.

The quality of the food is extremely poor and the smell of oily smoke is very strong. Eating it once is enough to make you feel stupid. I advise everyone not to go there.

It's not the cheapest place in then but the restaurant is spacious and clean, with very friendly service. Food choice is ok but personally think it's a bit plain. The cone ice cream turned out to be the best thing.

The food is too salty and too much MSG. Not recommended and won’t go back again

Awesome experience and very generous portions. Both authentic and really tasty. Deeply impressed. It's Korean barbecue so it is a lot of cook your own and a really good buffet in addition. In Hurst Street Birmingham and up steep stairs and has a decent lift from the ground floor. This was a lunch time so a little quiet but still a decent atmosphere. Very attentive staff yet not in the least pushy. It's a little further out than many restaurants but only just out the main Hippodrome area. Well worth a visit.

This has been one of the worst experiences i’ve ever had. Staff are unhospitable and incredibly rude. As first timers we asked for help on ordering and staff couldn’t be bothered to help. She said just look at the menu… If we understood it we wouldn’t ask. Not a buffet at all, very little selection they don’t even have sweet and sour chicken 😂 what korean place does not have basic korean dishes. Food disgusting and not warm I feel sick wouldn’t recommend. And don’t be fooled price online and in store is completely different paid £37 just to have one plate of food that I couldn’t even eat

Authentic all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue in the UK. Friendly, attentive staff, delicious fresh meat, good value for money. Worth paying the expensive Bullring parking prices for.

Best K-BBQ spot in Birmingham! They have an all you can eat full K-BBQ menu BUT you can also go in just for the middle aisle buffet which is about £10 less and if you’re not feeling a lot of meat then it’s also worth it and delicious (noodles,gyoza,curry,fried chicken etc) Highly recommend visiting here for the full experience as a first time visit (Also fun shaped candy floss machine which is cute)

Tasty and plentiful cuts of meat. So much that we could only manage two rounds! The charred BBQ grill was also changed on a regular basis. We have deducted marks as the price was £32.80pp rather than the advertised website price of £29.80pp. There is a note at the till advising that the price increased on the 7th December. Also, the buffet bar didn't have any fried chicken (or chips) on this occasion, which is unusual for a Korean restaurant and disappointing for our son who was looking forward to trying it for the first time.

I booked a table here for my boyfriend’s birthday. We had both wanted to try K-BBQ, first impressions were very good. We were asked about our reservation and then shown to our table. The waiter explained how the rounds work for the buffet we ordered and then started grilling. Our favourite meat was the teriyaki beef, we couldn’t get enough of it and I also really enjoyed the beef bibimbap. This is a great place to come with your partner, even though there were other couples at other tables it was quite romantic to grill each other’s food. Staff were very active with switching out the grill top once it got too charred. We were so full and happy by the end of the night, I would definitely recommend coming here.

One of the best dining experiences I've had. Food all high quality, you have your own bbq/grill in the middle of each table and cook your own food, various choices of meat/seafood/veg. There is also a buffet with lots of good food. It was a fun, cool experience, staff are reasonably friendly, only problem is you don't know on the tray what is what but it all tasted great! Good value for money £30 for all you can eat buffet, 3 rounds of meat/ fish options (between 2 we could only manage 2 rounds). You'll leave here full and with a smile!

Amazing meal and loved everything about this place. It was great value for what they serve to you and the meat was very well seasoned. The vegetables was fresh and there was a variety of side dishes and sauces to choose from and it was plenty to eat. The service was impeccable and the restaurant was very clean and tidy. El personal era muy disculpado y nos dio una botella de Soju gratis con nuestra comida, que era muy agradable de ellos. La comida era muy sabrosa con una buena gama de opciones. Después del hipo inicial la comida terminó siendo muy agradable.

El servicio fue terrible reservamos una mesa y terminamos esperando durante 45 minutos. Nadie nos explicó cómo ordenar, honestamente peor experiencia que he tenido! Tuvimos que seguir nuestras órdenes y levantarnos cada 2 segundos para decirles que se habían olvidado de darnos las bebidas que pedimos. La comida era horrible demasiado definitivamente no volver. Qué pérdida de dinero y tiempo. Arruinada nuestra noche estábamos celebrando la graduación de mis hermanas.

Lovely place it is nice, clean and the interiors are modern (perfect for instagram pictures). Staff is attentive but not overwhelmingly, they put effort in keeping everything clean and walk around making sure customers are looked after and grills plate are clean and hot. Buffet has good selection of tasty food, meat selection to BQQ is great. I found a couple of the ones we ordered maybe could be tastier but this is really a minor nitpick because they also offer sauces at the buffet to use with the meat so if you want more taste it is easily done. There are 3 rounds you can order of meat to BBQ and mains, we stopped at 1 because it was plenty! They also do cocktails and we really enjoyed the teapot for 2 (can’t remember the name of the cocktail but it comes in a golden teapot looking thing) and they have 2 for 1 cocktails on weekdays from 12-5pm. I would definitely come back on happy hour days. I would recommend others to visit, it is a nice experience and a great place if you love meat and BBQs.

I’ve been twice. First time was in March and I just ate the buffet items and second time was this weekend and I actually got to try the BBQ as well. Very halal friendly with staff knowledgeable about what items are allowed and the service is overall really good. Staff are very attentive. For £29.80 you get 3 rounds of 9 BBQ items and 2 sides as well as the buffet food. The BBQ itself is good quality, the lamb is delicious and you get a lot of meat. All lamb and chicken is halal but beef BBQ is not. 3 of us went and we ate one full round and had a lot of the buffet as well as dessert. We were stuffed but you get a lot for your money and can probably eat more BBQ if you eat less buffet items. We spent £34 because £4.20 was for unlimited drinks. The buffet food is delicious and regularly replenished. Both times I have been I’ve seen different items but it’s really tasty. They offer 10 buffet dishes in the communal space but they have way more listed on their menu so I think they switch it up often rather than constantly having everything out all at once. It’s a nice method I don’t mind it because it means it’s not too repetitive if you wanted to revisit and I definitely would go again.

Me and my girlfriend went to Tayudo Wednesday evening. The staff are very efficient and very welcoming. Vincent stood out to me as a very hardworking and friendly. The whole time we were there he was working very hard whilst keeping a smile on his face - very good to have around Tayudo. The food was fantastic and the staff were very fast and polite. I would definitely recommend this I love KBBQ!

Probably the best Asian bbq resto I’ve been to in the UK. The options for both the buffet and meat are great, and you’ll probably already got really really full after 2 rounds! Some of the meat and seafood lacks in flavour, probably not enough marinating but overall it was great. I recommend the beef ribs, lamb and pork belly in Korean sauce. Their desserts (ice cream and chocolate cake) from the buffet are amazing too.

Great experience, the only thing for me was the meat was a bit too fatty for my tastes. But that's my personal preference, quality was good and service was great highly recommend.

The price was definitely high but the promise of a buffet where we could have as much Korean BBQ as we wanted (within 100 minutes) was a big draw, and in that respect, it delivered big time. The meat was delicious, especially the pork belly in Tayudo sauce. When we go again, ordering the pre-cooked stuff would definitely not be a priority since it contributed to us not being able to eat as much of the quality stuff as we would've liked. The buffet itself had some decent options but it was mostly good for breaking up the meat

*re-update regarding bad situation* they asked me to call them to discuss and I did but they had no idea when I called... They told me to email them but I can't find an email for them 😅 Good experience with the food but big let down by the insulting server. Classic case of "all you can eat" until they say you've had enough. Old man who brought food over really let this place down when we visited. Hopefully they stopped him from serving and allowed the place to become better as a result. This happened 2023. The food was fantastic, it's really fresh and tasty. The BBQ was hot and perfect for cooking. This would be a 5 star but the elderly gentleman host who would take the orders was extremely rude and ruined both my partner's and my experience. We ordered 2 rounds and then when we went to order the 3rd round he argued and told us we were ordering "too much meat". I've been to many many Korean BBQ places before and I've never been told such a thing. Even when we assured him we were happy with what we were ordering he insisted 2 more times and tried to stop us ordering, and said if you don't finish the meat I'll charge you extra. They then didn't return the order paper again which was redundant because we were put off by that point. This wouldn't be a problem as it's a reasonable thing to say, but not all at once and then to be quite loud and confrontational at the table when you are trying to eat your lunch. This was the worst experience of hospitality I've had and I've been to many places like this and reviewed many places like this. The younger owners were very sweet and tried to make up for it with polite jokes but by that point it was too late. I understand the concerns but to be so rude, confrontational and loud was completely off-putting. Unfortunately regardless of the good food I won't be repeating the visit. There are other Korean BBQs in Birmingham where they don't treat you like this.

Came with friends, the service is pretty good and they change the hot plates regularly. There is a selection of buffet food and then you can order meat in three rounds. The pork was quite good, the beef was ok. The main dishes are nothing special and quite carb heavy. For £30 pp pretty good value for money.

This is the best Korean BBQ I've had in Birmingham! the staff were so friendly and accommodating. The chicken and lamb were halal and there so many flavour and cuts of each. The staff were really friendly and let us know how to order clearly, and explain which items were not halal in the buffet. The buffet isn't extremely large but there is plenty of quality choices! Ordering meat for the Korean BBQ lets you choose 9 meat/seafood for 3 rounds but my group of 3 could only do 1 round we were SOOO full! 10/10 recommend! also the food is not covered in sweetness which you find in a lot of the Korean restaurants lol.

Very very good place. The food was delicious and importantly great value. Plenty to choose from the buffet section which had a selection of cold and hot foods that were included in the price.

Great customer service from get go. I was organising my sister’ birthday dinner and if they didn’t answer the phone they would always return my missed call. As a large table booking some guests were late and they were very accommodating, adjusting the tables. Our party was sat in the private room which missed some of the atmosphere from the restaurant. Buffet food was topped up and the wings were delicious! Korean bbq was plentiful in quantity. We managed only one round and was full! Great value for money. At the end of the night I left my son’s iPad and birthday cake behind which the manager was able to find and return to me. Thank you for a wonderful evening

Service and food were unbeatable. Will be going again. I would recommend to not load up on the open buffet too much as you will get PLENTY of meat and seafood for the BBQ itself. Korean BBQ, I thought it was run by Koreans, but it turns out it is run by Chinese. Pigs, sheep, and chicken are of poor quality, and beef is even worse. They are all minced meat. A family of four spent over £100, not worth half the price. Worst restaurant ever in the UK 👎🏻

We have a dinner here with 3 adults and 2 children under 4 . We were very satisfied with the food and the environment. At first we were very happy and enjoy the dinner.After that when we went to checkout my child wanted to play with the claw machine which is in front of the cashier.The young lady staff told me that £1 can exchange for 4 game coins. I asked her if it was easy to get the dolls usually from the machine?She told me that It could be usually succeed as her customer experience . So I spent £4 in exchange for 16 game coins. I understood that this was a game and there was no guarantee of winning the prize. I asked the staff if I could give a chance to the child have a doll gift if we failed to clipped it?or I can buy it ,I don’t want to my child were disappointed on it Because the two little kids suffer from PTSD, so I asked first. If they failed and did not win the prize, I would explain and enlighten them in a positive way.The staff told me that she could not make the decision, however her boss should be able to handle it as appropriate. I am very grateful about that. In the end, I didn’t get any prize after we finished the game with no prize .I asked the same staff and she said I couldn’t make the decision plus she said her boss was not around. I don’t understand why the staff don’t tell me the true from the beginning. If she just reject my request, definitely will be fine , I really understand that.I’m very disappointed what she treat me like this way.

Yesterday my friend brought me to Tayudo and it’s been the best discovery of the week! This place it’s beautiful and let’s not talk about the food! Everything was beautiful and the food at the buffet was fresh and didn’t taste like it’s been there for hours, also the meat was amazing! I highly recommend the teriyaki beef and also the Tayudo beef. The staff was very nice and polite so the experience was a 10/10. I will be definitely coming back!

A nice change from our typical restaurants. On-table BBQing gives a choice of so many different meats. The buffet island adds even more Asian options. Staff took time explaining which spicier options one of our party might want to avoid. We didn't come close to eating the three rounds of BBQ on offer so I'd say this is pretty good value for money. The decor is Asian themed with neon and industrial touches. Really cool. I'd go back.

Was expecting much more than what we experienced. Staff didn't explain how it worked they just left things in the table. It wasn't until we asked that they explained. The meat was very fatty and not of great quality. All of this was mentioned on leaving the meal. You could have chosen 3 times we had enough halfway through the 1st as we really did not enjoy it at all.

Visited this place with friends. The staff were helpful at explaining how to order the food and what options were available. I eat halal food and the lamb and chicken options were available for us. Staff were also knowledgeable about foods we were able to consume at the buffet. It was a good experience. The prices for the buffet and Korean BBQ were also variable depending on the dishes you order but felt right for what we had. Definitely recommend for those wanting to try a new dining experience with friends and family.

The meat didnt have much flavour even though I chose the garlic flavour ones, not fresh, some of the seafood I got still had ice on from being unfrozen, the buffet food was my favourite it actually taste pretty good, so if I got back I would go for the buffet and not the bbq part. I also payed just over 4£ for fefill drink and only had half a cup of my drink as it taste water down.

You definitely get full, we only managed two rounds, although in the second round we only ordered 5 types of meat and didn't have a special. There are also some warm dishes for self-service at the buffet, as well as vegetables, sauces and dessert. However, the selection of banchan wasn't enough for me personally, and I would also have liked more sauces and dips.

Interesting evening. This Korean BBQ lived up to our expectations. The added bonus of a buffet was great. I think less meat and a lower cost per person would encourage us to visit again.

It is a Korean barbecue restaurant. It's sort of a semi-self-service place, where you can only order three rounds of nine portions each. The main dishes are beef, lamb, and pork, with fewer vegetarian options. The lamb is quite aromatic after cooking, while the beef is average in quality. Most of the items are frozen.

The best kbbq buffet I've been to. The service was 10/10 and the food was just as amazing.

I had a birthday dinner with my wife and saw mixed results online. Delirious, just try and give it a try. Know something…. The meat tastes like meat, but tasteless! Isn't it possible that some people can't even eat cigarettes? God! A waste of money, trust me, the food stocking is terrible, pool! Please take care of the management and return Birmingham to us. Delicious food.🥹🥹 Needs to be greatly improved.

The main buffet is the Korean BBQ meat, you'll have to grill them yourself, but they're very thin so it won't take long. You'll be able to choose 9 items from the menu (for grilling) each round, but for two people who eat an average size meal, we were full after the first round. Apart from the main BBQ buffet, there's an area with a small selection of side dishes (included with the buffet), and those were rather delicious. There's around 8-10 dishes to choose from: small korean fried chicken in a sticky sauce, pork stir fried with kimchi, seafood pancake, tofu, some veg, kimchi soup, and you'll also get your own dippings for the BBQ meat here. The BBQ meat were very bland, despite ordering several marinated meat, so you'll have to rely heavily on the dippings. The dessert area (included with the buffet) only had one type of cake and two fruits on our visit, which was disappointing. Overall, it's great for those who like Korean BBQ meat (that have to rely on the dippings heavily), and who could eat quite a lot of meat. Because for the price, it wasn't really worth it for the two of us. We ate more from the side dishes area than the BBQ meat because they were bland and of average quality. There's also 2 claw crane machines and a candyfloss machine, which was quite fun.

After being to a few KBQQ, I would say this is currently one of the better if not the best one in Birmingham atm. It's a very family-friendly place, great for groups of friends to share a meal. You can tell the staff are very efficient and work hard serving, changing the grills, and keeping the shared buffet area and restaurant clean. The staff are friendly and nice. If you haven't been to a KBBQ, it's quite a different dining experience and can be fun. If you like the idea of having a choice of different foods and grilling your own food to share with others, then it's great fun for a meal out. The buffet is organised where you can have up to 3 'rounds' of meat, where you choose 9 options, and you get 2 side dishes per round. The unlimited buffet area is a selection of cooked meats, stir-fried veggies, salad, rice/noodles, and sauces. I would note that this is big enough but also a limited selection, which supplements your 'rounds' well. This is not a normal buffet set up as you would expect, so those of you who are expecting a big buffet, you'd be wrong. The amount of food combined with the different options is more than enough, and you will be surprised by how full you can get. I personally feel this does work well, and though it is on the more expensive side pp, I think you can get your moneys worth. Any of the pork options, we found particularly well seasoned and tasted great on the bbq. The options we chose, meat and prawns, were fresh. I would say the only 2 areas of improvement in this respect were that some of the beef was very stringy and fatty, which no matter how you cooked, it was very chewy. The dessert section was limited. There was only 1 fresh fruit option out of fruit listed on the menu and only 2 different cakes and an ice-cream machine available. I feel they could definitely expand on this aspect by offering a wider range of smaller desserts. More than one option of fresh fruit and toppings for the ice cream. My only thing I would want the staff and management to note is they should check to make sure the toilets are cleaned and checked regularly throughout busy service as I think they couldn't been seen too much better. Overall great meal out 👍🏻😄

Overpriced buffet and a lack of good customer service, really dissapointed with the quality of their buffet, which for £27 per person is not variable enough, only a handful of dishes as their meat you cook is apparently the main part. However the quality of their meat is also very poor, even the marinated meats are bland and their beef short ribs were very stringy and of a poor quality. We raised our dissatisfaction and instead were told we didn't know how to cook the meat correctly (I used to be a chef, I know the difference in good and poor quality meat) we asked for a free meal and we would pay for the other meal and drinks, they declined said we would have to pay, we paid £50 total, which felt even still a premium for such poor quality food, the manager wasn't really willing to offer anything other than two free soft drinks, after this we left and felt very much like we had been robbed. It's such a shame as the building is really nice, the setup is great and having done this elsewhere was really hoping this would be of a similar quality but judging by the fact it was very quiet, shows their customer base is clearly not there, probably because people realised it's overpriced and poor quality, lack of sauces, or sides for the meat BBQ, no Korean style sauces like noc cham or anything to really make the meat shine, even the marinated meat is very poor. Wouldn't return and couldn't recommend at all. A shame.

The ingredients are fresh and the dishes are of high quality. The environment is spacious and comfortable, the service is friendly and the price is reasonable. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to try Korean food!
