Good was great, had an amazing time, would go again

The main buffet is the Korean BBQ meat, you'll have to grill them yourself, but they're very thin so it won't take long. You'll be able to choose 9 items from the menu (for grilling) each round, but for two people who eat an average size meal, we were full after the first round. Apart from the main BBQ buffet, there's an area with a small selection of side dishes (included with the buffet), and those were rather delicious. There's around 8-10 dishes to choose from: small korean fried chicken in a sticky sauce, pork stir fried with kimchi, seafood pancake, tofu, some veg, kimchi soup, and you'll also get your own dippings for the BBQ meat here. The BBQ meat were very bland, despite ordering several marinated meat, so you'll have to rely heavily on the dippings. The dessert area (included with the buffet) only had one type of cake and two fruits on our visit, which was disappointing. Overall, it's great for those who like Korean BBQ meat (that have to rely on the dippings heavily), and who could eat quite a lot of meat. Because for the price, it wasn't really worth it for the two of us. We ate more from the side dishes area than the BBQ meat because they were bland and of average quality. There's also 2 claw crane machines and a candyfloss machine, which was quite fun.

Very easy system to order your food, tasted delicious and lots of choice. Fun to grill the food you want and very friendly and welcoming staff.

Food was good but I could not believe they charged me a full buffet price for my 4 yr old who only ate a handful of plain rice!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous!!!!

The portions of food were very generous, and the two of us were almost full~ The boss was very kind and patiently explained to us when we were eating for the first time. Like👍🏻!

After being to a few KBQQ, I would say this is currently one of the better if not the best one in Birmingham atm. It's a very family-friendly place, great for groups of friends to share a meal. You can tell the staff are very efficient and work hard serving, changing the grills, and keeping the shared buffet area and restaurant clean. The staff are friendly and nice. If you haven't been to a KBBQ, it's quite a different dining experience and can be fun. If you like the idea of having a choice of different foods and grilling your own food to share with others, then it's great fun for a meal out. The buffet is organised where you can have up to 3 'rounds' of meat, where you choose 9 options, and you get 2 side dishes per round. The unlimited buffet area is a selection of cooked meats, stir-fried veggies, salad, rice/noodles, and sauces. I would note that this is big enough but also a limited selection, which supplements your 'rounds' well. This is not a normal buffet set up as you would expect, so those of you who are expecting a big buffet, you'd be wrong. The amount of food combined with the different options is more than enough, and you will be surprised by how full you can get. I personally feel this does work well, and though it is on the more expensive side pp, I think you can get your moneys worth. Any of the pork options, we found particularly well seasoned and tasted great on the bbq. The options we chose, meat and prawns, were fresh. I would say the only 2 areas of improvement in this respect were that some of the beef was very stringy and fatty, which no matter how you cooked, it was very chewy. The dessert section was limited. There was only 1 fresh fruit option out of fruit listed on the menu and only 2 different cakes and an ice-cream machine available. I feel they could definitely expand on this aspect by offering a wider range of smaller desserts. More than one option of fresh fruit and toppings for the ice cream. My only thing I would want the staff and management to note is they should check to make sure the toilets are cleaned and checked regularly throughout busy service as I think they couldn't been seen too much better. Overall great meal out 👍🏻😄

Overpriced buffet and a lack of good customer service, really dissapointed with the quality of their buffet, which for £27 per person is not variable enough, only a handful of dishes as their meat you cook is apparently the main part. However the quality of their meat is also very poor, even the marinated meats are bland and their beef short ribs were very stringy and of a poor quality. We raised our dissatisfaction and instead were told we didn't know how to cook the meat correctly (I used to be a chef, I know the difference in good and poor quality meat) we asked for a free meal and we would pay for the other meal and drinks, they declined said we would have to pay, we paid £50 total, which felt even still a premium for such poor quality food, the manager wasn't really willing to offer anything other than two free soft drinks, after this we left and felt very much like we had been robbed. It's such a shame as the building is really nice, the setup is great and having done this elsewhere was really hoping this would be of a similar quality but judging by the fact it was very quiet, shows their customer base is clearly not there, probably because people realised it's overpriced and poor quality, lack of sauces, or sides for the meat BBQ, no Korean style sauces like noc cham or anything to really make the meat shine, even the marinated meat is very poor. Wouldn't return and couldn't recommend at all. A shame.

The ingredients are fresh and the dishes are of high quality. The environment is spacious and comfortable, the service is friendly and the price is reasonable. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to try Korean food!

I spend my 18th birthday here. The food is AMAZING, all the ingredients are large portioned and very fresh, I have never had any K-BBQ as authentic as this, definitely 10/10. The service is also incredible, their manager is so friendly, very talkative. The best restaurant I’ve been to in a long time.

I thought this place had closed down, but instead it moved location from where it originally was. Thank god they did. It is so much better in terms of space and decor, everything was just brighter and more welcoming. There food still amazing as ever, with some nice extra buffet dishes, acting as bannchan. Like honestly the upgrade was great. In one week, I went twice. And recommended it anyone craving a little bit of kbbq

A very big and spacious restaurant located on the 1st floor. Nice decor and very clean that also has a few arcade machines for the kids. The selection counter of hotfood, sides and sauces were limited but it was okay because we were all there for the meat. The list of choice for meat goes on but worth every bang for your buck. quality not so great as everything's frozen. Staff service good as well 👍

This place is amazing! Each table has its own BBQ grill and you have three rounds, of which you can order up to 9 different raw meats/veg on each round, to cook at the table. There is also an all you can eat buffet area with a selection of cooked meat and veg dishes, salad, sauces and rice/noodles. Dessert is also included with unlimited icecream and cheesecake!!!! The staff were lovely and explained everything and the BBQ grills are changed frequently once becoming burnt/dirty. We have already said we will definitely be back again, to try all the things we didn't get to try as we were so full. If you want good food, an experience and a fair price this is the place to go.

The workers were negligent and didn’t have any regard for those who have allergies at all didn’t mention or write it on the menu as a reminder as they mixed oils so be wary and ask this could be very dangerous!! Also bit pricy 36£ each as it’s 29.80£ for the all u eat/buffet for each singular person no drinks included.

It was a wonderful experience, quite distinct from the usual. The BBQ was delicious, and the quality of the meat was decent. As for the service, the management seemed attentive, but some of the floor staff appeared to be unfamiliar with their roles. In all, I would recommend it👌🏾

It was our first time at a Korean BBQ restaurant and we really enjoyed it here! It's easy to order what you'd like, with plenty of side dishes to select at your own leisure. The different selection of meat was fun to cook & tasty. Service was great, quick and clear. We really enjoyed ourselves and would come again.

Was expecting much more than what we experienced. Staff didnt explain how it worked they just left things in the table. It wasnt until we asked that they explained. The meat was very fatty and not of great quality. All of this was metioned on leaving the meal. You could have chosen 3 times we had enough half way through the 1st as we really did not enjoy it at all.

Went for a catch up meal with my cousin with our babies. Nice BBQ experience. Lots of food. Nice and friendly staff. Will be going back again!

Good environment overall, clean and tidy but food quality is so-so. Variety of choices for both cooked and raw meat, however, the raw meat for BBQ is quite bland, even for the marinated ones. For buffet price you're paying for the variety, with good and quick service, but I wouldn’t say the meat quality is particularly great. Also note that drinks are not included in the price, and would be better if there’s more seafood/vegetarian options.

The best, had a really good time, the food was nice and the portions were really good. Lots of hot food and salad options. The experience was fun.

First time having Korean bbq and loved it. Definitely go without eating anything all day. They replaced the grill a few times. Only managed to get a lot of food because you get so much food.

My friends visited Tayudo and had a very great time. They sent me photos and talked about how good it was. So they took me there yesterday and now I understand why they loved it so much. Food was lovely, staff was friendly, place was clean. Our grill plate was changed as soon as it started to turn blackish from the grill. Unlimited hot food and side dishes at the middle was also amazing. Now I'm planning to go back again for my birthday meal. Thank you for wonderful korean bbq experience. Definitely going back for more :)

Visited twice and service was great both times. The food is delicious with a nice variety and good value. The staff are always really friendly and prompt too. The place is also very clean. A new favourite.

Really enjoyed it. Good food good decor. Initially before I went there I was bit sceptical about having to order meat separately in trays rather than helping yourself to the meats. But i found this way to be way better. It stops people from wasting food and also from greedy people taking all the meat. 9 meat selections with two main per order (you can have three rounds of order) is MORE than enough. The hot buffet had a good variety of dishes like the fried chicken wings, Korean miso soup and savoury pancakes. The BBQ had 9 options + 2 main / tinfoil. The bibimbap was nice as a portion. I enjoyed the variety of meats and offal which is more authentic. The shitake mushroom was not what we received, but was white mushrooms with a cross cut on the top. Not sure if they ran out or was intended. I asked if they had soy sauce and they pointed to the dipping sauce. That was not soy sauce, as it should be salty and not a watery vinegar sauce. The melon was nice but the chocolate cake was bland. Including tip, at nearly £30 per person i am unsure if it is worth it.

Food was delicious. Service was lovely and the staff were super friendly. The owner helped us out as we struggled to understand the buffet and bbq concept. We had 3 rounds but were done in 1 but we had meat and fish to the fullest. Definitely worth the money!!!🫶😍

上的肉很多都不生鮮, 甚至未解完凍就上。不能接受。甜品的黑森林蛋糕的忌廉是用植物奶油製，不好味，朱古力也是只有一陣死甜味。 唯一的好處是用炭爐，可是很難調較溫度。未加一原價收費£26.8, 貼錢買難受，絕不再光顧。 The meats (whatever lamb, pork, beef or chicken) served were stale, or even it was served not completely defrosted. The cream on black forest cake was made by dairy-free cream. Resulting in bad taste. The chocolate favour was unnatural. The only good thing in this restaurant was using charcoal stove, but it was too difficult to adjust temperature. It charges £26.8 per person (adult) before adding 10% service charge, one word to conclude: Unworthy.

Celebrate my birthday here with my family. Service is really good. Endless choices of unli meat, sea food veg etc. Good for barbecue lovers. A bit pricey though.

Took advantage of their amazing offer and spent a good two hours eating amazing cuts of meat, fish and veg. A huge selection on the buffet and dip station meant we were spoilt for choice! Staff were fantastic and helpful, keeping an eye out for grill changes and helping out with allergen queries. Highly recommended by me and the family!

Not an expert of korean bbq but I can 100% confirm that the buffet is indeed UNLIMITED (don't trust other reviews, there were probably misunderstandings). U get a huge variation of meat and seafood (check their menu), and also other side and main dishes. I liked both their bbq and bibimbap, havent got the chance to try other stuff coz alr so full xd. The owner of tayudo is also super friendly and welcoming, it was a really pleasant and positive experience. Really would recommend anyone to give it a try!

Very disappointed, they increased the price by around 6 pounds and they don’t offer tap water so you are forced to buy extra drinks. The buffet itself is overpriced, there aren’t many options.

By far one of the best restaurants I have been to in my entire life, without exaggeration. I have returned a number of times and every time the quality of food is completely outstanding. 100% recommended to anyone visiting Birmingham.

Strictly speaking this is only semi-buffet. There are cooked dishes you can eat all you want but the BBQ itself is limited to up to 9 meat options (from a selection of pork belly, beef, chicken, lamb or seafood) and 2 cooked mains dishes. We chose 3 types of pork, 3 types of beef and 3 types of seafood marinated in different types of sauces. For 2 of us, that’s more than we can eat but is it value for money for about £27 per head? Considering the meat we were given for both pork and beef weren’t that great, I guess it’s fair. Whatever sauces the meats were marinated in, we couldn’t tell any difference between one or the other: they just tasted bland and very similar. I would have been happy to pay around £35 for much tastier and better quality meats. Would we come here again? Probably not. But the overall service was quick and efficient.

This is definitely one of the best restaurants in Birmingham. If you want to have food and be happy at the end of it this is definitely the place people should look at, I come here bout once a week for roughly 3 months never been disappointed and will continue to come back... staff are very helpful and polite, I suggest if you want a change of food come here they also do a buffet aswell as the bbq which I love :)

Food was delicious but not everything that was advertised on the menu was there service was non existent,and service charge should be discretionary and not compulsory.

I recently dined at Tayudo, a delightful Korean restaurant. The food was outstanding, with a wide variety of authentic Korean dishes. The staff was attentive and the ambiance was inviting. I highly recommend Tayudo for a memorable dining experience.

Great Korean style BBQ buffet with excellent value. Yes, the meat quality is not the best (decent enough)and the “Korean” style is not the most authentic one either. BUT costing only below £30, what can you ask for more? Perfect place for meat lovers and group gatherings. Probably avoid the seafood as it is noticeably worse than meat. Overall, good value BBQ.

Good value and you can try a lot of meat in the buffet. The cuts of meat aren't the best quality and some aren't very tender. However I think that's expected for a buffet at this price. I like how there's also a mini buffet of other foods which is included in the main buffet menu. This means you can also eat unlimited kimchi, chicken wings, pork kimchi, seafood pancake and desserts including ice cream and fruit. There's also an option for unlimited refills of soft drinks from the machine, but the drinks were way too sweet. Service was good and the staff kept coming back to replace the grill surface when it was getting overly charred. Be aware that the restaurant uses a lot of bbq charcoal which means the meats cook very quickly. We were told that it was not good to leave the grill top heated without any food on it, we had to constantly cook whatever came to our table, as soon as it arrived. This made us feel like we were constantly racing to cook and eat the food as soon as it arrived.

Good selection of meat but the marinate is all tasteless... the buffet out there is also not great, most don’t taste like much... I think the chef forgot to add salt or something. For this price would not recommend.

Very approachable staffs and accommodating. I would like to suggest to add a cheese dip , samjang and toasted garlic with chili oil for sauces.

The food is great cause I grilled it good 😂, the service was nice, I didn’t get a chance to see the name of the waitress that served my friend and I, I loved how they kept checking on us and changing our grill pan to avoid the meat sticking to the pan, the kimchi was great. I also loved the sea pancakes, although they had less options of fruit, but the food was still great. Definitely worth the price.

Moderne 'kark' Industrie Stil asiatisches Restaurant. Buffet OK, aber nur lauwarm, kleine Auswahl und sehr schleppend nachgefüllt. Getränke dazu Zuckersirup Zeug, schon eine Frechheit mit 4 Pfund! Allgemein überteuert und schwierig bei der Bezahlung.

I have visited Tayudo Korean BBQ buffet in Birmingham with my friends as a group of 10 peoples, food was alright not a lot of options for seafood also the drink refills taste off doesn’t taste like original cola cola. Service was low so we decided to not pay service charge but we will give a tip instead but the manager force us to pay the service charge which is unacceptable and the manager attitude was very bad keep asking me why don’t you want to pay for that service charge in front of me and my other friends SO RUDE!!!!. Will not come back again and not recommended this restaurant to anyone.

Came here during Pride and had a great meal! There's a buffet in addition to the barbeque with fresh lettuce to wrap the meat in, fruits and desserts, and some lovely side dishes and salads. The staff speak Chinese which felt very welcoming, and the variety of dry/saucy seasonings were vast.

I went in on the 27/5/23 just to have a look at what was on offer and I was crowded round by the staff and felt very threatened. I was considering coming in to have something to eat but didn’t like being surrounded and I felt claustrophobic. Won’t be returning

Dined in 14:30 and there were around 3 tables occupied. Service was fast. Food was amazing. We only had 2 rounds of meat because we were already very full.. will definitely come back!

It’s nice experience to try, food are good, but not a lot of options for drinks

Loving the new Tayudo, I’m very happy the venue is much bigger than their first and they’ve added more choices to the menu like the fresh hot food. Service was very quick with no waiting time on ordered items too! It’s the best and affordable KBBQ in town. So I 100% recommend everybody to try.

Sadly got turned away as I came alone. They have a two person minimum, otherwise the bill is £10 higher. I was told to “bring a friend” Like…wow. This would’ve been my first ever Korean restaurant, and the lack of hospitality kind of ruined it. Pure and simple greed. The all you can eat Korean bbq buffet is £26.80 as of April 2023. Children (4-11) are £14.95 with one free drink. Kids under 4 are £4.35. Also a 10% service charge, so the final bill is £29-30. £40 if you’re alone. Ridiculous. Better off at Ming Moon or Kyoto Sushi. Similar model, but at least they let you dine alone. Guess my first experience of Korean BBQ will have to be in London instead. EDIT: Attempted to contact them using the number provided in their reply, but got no response.
