Fantastic pub with great choice of ales and brilliant staff. Whilst the food is pretty much limited to pizza, they are all cooked from scratch, plenty of different options and taste amazing. Can get busy but never wait long to get served. Pool table downstairs.

March 2024: Thornbridge Brewery: Coco Cocoa coconut chocolate porter and Round Corner Brewery: Thirsty Traveller red ale March 2022: What a fantastic choice of Thornbridge ales. I think they had every single one on tap (except the Brother Rabbit that ran out mid pull) Settled for Titanic Plum Porter and Thornbridge Numa winter ale!

Nice place. Except they’ll call last orders, happily sell you as many drinks as you like but then aggressively ask you to leave 10 minutes later. It’s a respectable venue, there’s no need for the security to act like bouncers. Completely ruins the atmosphere when you’re basically being started on when trying to down the drink they happily served you 10 mins ago.

Great local pub on the heart of Birmingham. Good service and a great range of drinks at reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend and will be revisiting.

Really like it here. No expense has been spared on the decor. Great range of beer and staff are well trained. The only civilised bar in Brum with a pool table!

Always busy. The Coldmore has a good selection of draft beers . If you fancy a bar snack they have a nice selection of pizzas. Although busy, the staff are are friendly and helpful.

Looking for a place for a beer while at the Christmas market, I came across The Colemore. Really great and relaxed interior, the guy behind the bar was friendly and had my kids laughing with a few jokes, couldn't fault the beer. I'll definitely be back.

One of my go to places in Brum. The Colmore has amazing staff, excellent choice of top quality drinks. Had a pizza on Friday and it was delicious. Colleagues has a malbec which was recommended and they enjoyed and alcohol free beer which they said was nice. The only minor point is I can't always read what is on the bank of taps to the rear. I'm good at chosing my own drinks but sometimes pick something I can see as not sure what's on!

A comfortable pub to enjoy a good selection of real ales from Thornbridge and a pizza. We only wanted a snack so shared a standard pizza between four of us. The waiter willingly gave us extra plates and cutlery. Situated close to the German Christmas market.

Fantastic place to meet and have a drink

Enjoyed food and atmosphere here on a Saturday late summer evening. Prices reasonable and all of our party had a great time.

Lovely interior and good atmosphere. The drinks are plentiful if a little pricey, although not much more so than other similar places in the vicinity. Staff are generally warm and welcoming although I have had one bad experience regarding a miscommunication with a bar staff member. The food and specials are very good, again if a little pricey for what you are receiving. Overall, a nice, quaint place to have a couple of drinks after work with colleagues or friends.

Our favourite bar in the city centre and a good stop off on the way to Snow Hill Station after a concert or theatre trip. Great range of beers with lovely relaxed surroundings.

Probably my favourite pub in central Birmingham now. They serve a fantastic pint, have an excellent selection of beers with a changing line up on cask and in addition the pizzas are really nice. Always a good atmosphere, staff are friendly and efficient and only a few minutes away from New Street.

Brand new addition to the city centre, it's a great pub, the pizza is good. The best thing about this bar is the great beer on tap, they are mostly Thornbridge beers with some guest ales. There's a lot to choose from.

Having tried to contact both the colmore and its parent companies, and having no response I feel the need to address an issue through this review. I visited the bar early on a Friday evening, the bar was relatively quiet and I ordered a drink from the menu with the barman (once he'd finished yawning in my face) After a few minutes of routing in a fridge, questions to a colleague, more grumbling, further questions about measure sizes etc I was given my drink. I asked for some Ice in it and I was then subject to an aggressive rant about how I was 'being smart' and should have asked for ice when ordering. I tried to protest but was just shouted down with him saying he 'could just not serve me' I was genuinely shocked and decided to leave. I was baffled by the attitude, I'd been pleasant and quiet whilst waiting and it wasn't an obscure drink, indeed it has its own box in the center of the menu! I tried to get the barman's name from the bouncer but he wouldn't tell me! There is also no ownership of issues when you read the bad reviews, it smacks of a toxic culture throughout the company. Birmingham has a huge number of decent bars, the majority have friendly professional staff. Sadly it seems the colmore isn't one of them and I would recommend you think twice before visiting. Update: still nothing back from the venue or owners

Good selection of beers and ciders; you won't find Carling here. We went on a Thursday evening and it was very busy with people having a drink after work. Good atmosphere with the wooden panelling.

Fantastic selection of beers. I got dark ale with pistachio flavour. It was so nice, full immersion into taste, it's nearly melting in your mouth... However, they have so many beers which you might not find anywhere else. Also, some stronger ones with 12 percent alcohol. Perfect place for a beer lover

Oh dear! I was intending to book this place for various big conference social events next year. Tonight was a toe in the water.....Having booked and been assured twice, by different members of our party, that food orders would be taken up til 9pm, we were refused at 9.01pm. Technically, the staff were correct. Maybe you might now consider the £ tens of thousands that you have lost from me and my colleagues ahead of 2024. And I will spread the word far and wide. Well done.

Decent venue, just off Victoria Square. Lots of ales to choose from too.

Lovely little pub we have been coming to for a while now. The food has always been amazing and catered to my needs of Gluten Free! The GF pizzas are amazing!! We popped along yesterday to find they didn’t have any GF pizza bases in however, they still catered to my needs and made me a lovely big salad with the spicy chicken I always have on my pizza. The owner/ manager had just finished their shifts when they heard me ask for a GF pizza and even though they were off shift they still helped accommodate me. Once food arrived the staff came over to check everything was ok with all of our foods and to see if I was happy with what I received, which of course I was! Thank you to all at the Colmore for being so accommodating.

Had been meaning to go for ages, and very glad I did. It's a great, comfortable bar selling a superb collection of Thornbridge beers. It's well spaced, with cozy spaces and the more open bar area, and the staff were great. There's also a pool table downstairs that was in constant use when we were there

Had such a nice time here! The 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 is just gorgeous + 𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙨 are so great! There was a bit of a wait, but it was totally worth it. And for it being busy, somehow it didn't feel annoying or noisy. The architecture and interior design are just amazing. You feel like in an old film :) It's great for taking some nice portraits. Also, it's a very good option for vegans! The vegan pizza is SUPER TASTY, I'd say one of the best pizzas I've ever had! With a lot of vegan cheese 😋 And even the side salad had a delicious vinaigrette. A lovely experience!

A breath of fresh air in central Birmingham, very comfortable ambience & superb range of ipa beers. Look forward to sampling the Brummie pizza next time.
