The best restaurants serving Asian food in Central Sheffield Yorkshire and The Humber

I came to eat at the Mango Thai cafe yesterday with a friend. I did check with the staff - this place has the same owner as the Lemongrass Thai Street Food place that is next door but one. I went for the Chilli bomb tofu with holy basil and my friend for the Vegan pad Thai. This place is completely vegan so we both had a lot of delicious food to choose from but I fancied something spicy. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, it's definitely somewhere we will be coming back to 🥰 They brought us out some new items from the menu to try as well as our own food which was so kind and we were really grateful for 💖 I would definitely recommend anybody passing The Moor Market in Sheffield City Centre to stop by and try some of this incredible vegan food. Lasso Excelentes momos vegetales y porciones generosas de veg dal bhat - ambos son de gran valor y la ubicación del centro de la ciudad es conveniente (pero puede estar ocupado y carece de vistas a la montaña - tampoco son culpa del Buda Hambriento!). Las especias se utilizan delicadamente y están bien equilibradas (posiblemente suavizadas un poco para los gustos locales, me gustaría un pepinillo más ponzoñoso) , la verdura es fresca y el dal agradable con la cantidad justa de sal (más dal por favor! ). Las salsas momo son adictivas. Los momos son tan buenos como en Nepal; mi hijo los declaró segundos después de los de una logia en Timang. Son auténticos (por supuesto, dado quién los cocina) y ciertamente nos traen recuerdos. Si solo sel roti y kala chia estuvieran disponibles por la mañana... Tujeje moula

After waiting in the lobby for 30 minutes, we were not even notified that the food was ready if we hadn't asked ourselves. Why! We were fine after that, but the service was so bad

Amazing place. The food was delicious and great value for money. The service from all the staff was fantastic too. I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Great to have a halal Japanese restaurant, has a huge menu selection. Portion sizes are great. Highly recommend the spicy chicken sushi. The beef Raman was delicious. I highly recommend giving this place a try. I will definitely come back!

Review for Oisoi – Visited on 30th March We were really looking forward to our visit after hearing great things from family and friends, as well as reading the glowing reviews online. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to expectations. Upon arrival, we waited around 30–40 minutes just for our cocktails and tap water. While we understand that delays can happen, the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy at the time. Our starters and mains were actually served before our drinks, which felt disorganised and dampened the experience. There was also confusion when the cocktails were finally brought over, with the server unsure which one was which. I was especially disappointed for £15 per cocktail, for three of us each I expected something a bit more special. It ended up being mostly foam with very little liquid in a small unappealing glass. Our mains took over an hour to arrive, and sadly they were cold by the time we received them. We only had a few bites before asking for take-out boxes, as we had other plans we had to move on to. It was a shame, because the starters were genuinely lovely. Overall, we left feeling quite let down and won’t be returning or recommending the restaurant to others

Servicio dolorosamente lento y comida mediocre. Escaso personal y estábamos a punto de salir después de 25 minutos de espera para el servicio. Ambiente desorganizado y caótico.

Doesn't look like much from the outside. The windows need a clean, the chairs are well past their best. But the noodles are ridiculously good, and made in house. One of my favourite places in Sheffield.

The order never arrived and it’s impossible to contact anyone.

Just enjoyed the Chicken Kothtu which is as good a curry dish as I've eaten in any type of restaurant or food hall. Simply exquisite. Thank you 🍛♥️

I’m getting more and more into Thai/ Malaysian/ Asian food – especially a good noodle dish with some fried chicken, a bit of spice and I especially like it when a dish topped with a fried egg. Or a decent Thai curry / a laksa with a good kick of spice goes down well too. So when we visited Syiok-Lah, they provided two of my ultimate plates of heaven; Maggie Goreng – Fried Chicken (£13.95): Stir-fried Malaysian noodles with mixed veg, egg, topped with spring onion, crispy shallots, fresh chillies, and lime to finish. Rice Dish – Beef Rendang (12.95): 6 hours slow-cooked beef in 10 combinations of herbs, spices, coconut milk and toasted coconut. Served with coconut rice and cucumbers. Garnish with coriander and fresh chillies We also shared a Chicken Satay Bao Bun (£7.50) Everything was exceptionally delicious and we cleared the plates (as you can see). The service was swift and staff really helpful and friendly. Other dishes on their menu include Roti Canai (two pieces of flaky roti bread served with a choice of Beef Rendang or Chicken Curry), Laksa, Loaded Fries, Chicken Drumsticks and more. There is only one Vegan option currently but this may change as they grow?!

Great food and service, although the atomosphere could use a little rework. Ordered roasted duck with dim sum, excellent almost-authentic taste and plating. The beer options are great but is a little overpriced at £5 for a small bottle. Overall, a good experience.

The worst,I ordered some Dim sum and they tasted bad and after trying just a bite of everything I got food poisoning,awful,vacation ruined by getting sick!!!!

Service was friendly. 돼 짱 찌개 soup was very salty. Not much in vegetables. More water based.

All great but the watery 'chocolate' fountain resembling more of a latte than chocolate could be improved - just placing pure (sugar-free) Coco powder by the ice-cream machine would be a better and healthier option.
