The best restaurants serving Asian food in Central Sheffield Yorkshire and The Humber

I came to eat at the Mango Thai cafe yesterday with a friend. I did check with the staff - this place has the same owner as the Lemongrass Thai Street Food place that is next door but one. I went for the Chilli bomb tofu with holy basil and my friend for the Vegan pad Thai. This place is completely vegan so we both had a lot of delicious food to choose from but I fancied something spicy. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, it's definitely somewhere we will be coming back to 🥰 They brought us out some new items from the menu to try as well as our own food which was so kind and we were really grateful for 💖 I would definitely recommend anybody passing The Moor Market in Sheffield City Centre to stop by and try some of this incredible vegan food. Lasso Excelentes momos vegetales y porciones generosas de veg dal bhat - ambos son de gran valor y la ubicación del centro de la ciudad es conveniente (pero puede estar ocupado y carece de vistas a la montaña - tampoco son culpa del Buda Hambriento!). Las especias se utilizan delicadamente y están bien equilibradas (posiblemente suavizadas un poco para los gustos locales, me gustaría un pepinillo más ponzoñoso) , la verdura es fresca y el dal agradable con la cantidad justa de sal (más dal por favor! ). Las salsas momo son adictivas. Los momos son tan buenos como en Nepal; mi hijo los declaró segundos después de los de una logia en Timang. Son auténticos (por supuesto, dado quién los cocina) y ciertamente nos traen recuerdos. Si solo sel roti y kala chia estuvieran disponibles por la mañana... Tujeje moula

We waited in the lobby for 30 minutes and were not even informed that the food was ready unless we asked. Why? We still had to deal with it later. Very poor service.

Absolutely banging food, I've been to hundreds of curry houses and this place does it better than anyone else by a mile

10/10 We will be back soon with friends and Family! I went on a date we split a few dishes between us. Kabeel & Chloe served us and we received a complimentary dish from the chef. Super yummy!

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant. Incredible customer service from start to finish, the staff are so friendly. My partner has a nut allergy and this was very well catered for throughout. Food was so tasty. Highly worth a visit.

Servicio dolorosamente lento y comida mediocre. Escaso personal y estábamos a punto de salir después de 25 minutos de espera para el servicio. Ambiente desorganizado y caótico.

Doesn't look like much from the outside. The windows need a clean, the chairs are well past their best. But the noodles are ridiculously good, and made in house. One of my favourite places in Sheffield.

One of our favourite options for East Asian cuisine in Sheffield. The staff are an absolute delight, the food is always tremendous and the portions are generous! So many options on the menu. Love it!

Had the Watalappam cake as it sounded really interesting. I have since read it's a very popular dessert and wow, it was lovely! Sweet and treacly, and for me, had the texture of a bread and butter pudding. Loved it. The ice cream was the perfect accompaniment. Even if you order food from other stalls (I did) you must try this for dessert!

I’m getting more and more into Thai/ Malaysian/ Asian food – especially a good noodle dish with some fried chicken, a bit of spice and I especially like it when a dish topped with a fried egg. Or a decent Thai curry / a laksa with a good kick of spice goes down well too. So when we visited Syiok-Lah, they provided two of my ultimate plates of heaven; Maggie Goreng – Fried Chicken (£13.95): Stir-fried Malaysian noodles with mixed veg, egg, topped with spring onion, crispy shallots, fresh chillies, and lime to finish. Rice Dish – Beef Rendang (12.95): 6 hours slow-cooked beef in 10 combinations of herbs, spices, coconut milk and toasted coconut. Served with coconut rice and cucumbers. Garnish with coriander and fresh chillies We also shared a Chicken Satay Bao Bun (£7.50) Everything was exceptionally delicious and we cleared the plates (as you can see). The service was swift and staff really helpful and friendly. Other dishes on their menu include Roti Canai (two pieces of flaky roti bread served with a choice of Beef Rendang or Chicken Curry), Laksa, Loaded Fries, Chicken Drumsticks and more. There is only one Vegan option currently but this may change as they grow?!

The worst,I ordered some Dim sum and they tasted bad and after trying just a bite of everything I got food poisoning,awful,vacation ruined by getting sick!!!!

Service was friendly. 돼 짱 찌개 soup was very salty. Not much in vegetables. More water based.

Managed to get in just prior to closing. Staff advised that we stocked up as they were starting to clear away. Still, we found the food most enjoyable. Great finish to a great night
