Hands down the best Indian food Iāve ever had! The flavours were incredibleāevery dish was perfectly spiced and bursting with authentic taste. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like family. The staff was warm, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The owner -Jabba was so lovely! The restaurant is newly decorated and looked fab. We drove just over a 50 mile round trip to go after ordering a takeaway from there the evening before at a local glamping site near to Pocklington. If you're craving top-notch Indian food, Bengal Lounge in Pocklington is the place to go. Iāll be back again!

I donāt understand all the good reviews on this place. Iāve ordered take away twice now and both times itās been greasy as hell with hardly any meat. Iāve never seen such rank chips in my life. Wondering if the restaurant is maybe nicer than take out. I ordered again thinking the first time might have been an off day but obviously not. Soggy onion baghee, chips dripping in grease (see pic) and about 3 bits of meat in each curry. Wonāt order again!

We found the Mirchi lounge whilst on holiday and had a lovely meal there. All the Indian restaurant favourites are here as well as a good range of house specials. Whilst the prices had increased from the menu shown on their website they were still very good value. We had two courses plus drinks for two of us and it came to just over 50 pounds. We felt very full and both enjoyed our food. Two more happy customers here!

Latest visit, did not disappoint. Beautiful food and lovely staff. I over ordered and was able to take what was left home with me. Loads of choice for a veggie, with beautiful flavours. We loved this place, I was being treated, and as my host is blind, they could not have been more quietly accommodating. We would definitely go again! Accessibility: Heavy double front door and sharp right to the next not so heavy. Someone held the front one for us. Level entrance. Tables that can adapt for wheelchairs. Level entrance. I suggest a wireless dour bell which would help attract attention if needed. Toilet: Disabled loo, plus one other loo. Spare seats abd high chairs in the approach, I estimate a wheelchair could get through though. Car Parking: A number of disabled 3 hour spaces mixed with loading bays around the corner near ERY Council Offices. Otherwise usually fee paying Beverley Car Parks around the Town. Food: Yum, yum, yum, freshly made to order and just the right quantities. Veggie and vegan options clearly marked and detailed on the menu. As everything is made fresh, you can ask fir some changes. Pud: We were not going to have pud, but decided to share the Rice Pudding, 1st taste, one each! Staff: Excellent, friendly and Knowledgabke

Ordered a few curries tonight for a family get together, as part of the order we ordered a chicken tikka madras and chicken jalfrezi. The order came with two jalfreziās, no madras, when we phoned to ask for it to be rectified we were told that wasnāt what we ordered and that they repeated the order at the time, they did, but repeated it with a madras. I explained this to the staff who were rude and said Iād need to pay for another madras if they were to bring one. Also food wasnāt great, greasy naans and bhajiās, Shocking attitude and service, wonāt be visiting again!!!!
