The best restaurants serving Asian food in Yorkshire and The Humber

Got a Pad Ka Prao & sticky rice, and I know that the food was going to be good as I've also been to the one in the Shambles Market but it is probably the best one I've had! If I am out this way again I would definitely come back. Staff were very kind & service was quick

Had an absolutely beautiful meal here tonight. It's a lovely restaurant. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The lamb vindaloo I had was perfection. The lamb just melted in the mouth and the sauce was absolutely full of flavour and the right ampunt of heat. Probably the best lamb vindaloo I've ever had. Chips were fresh and crisps and the peshwari naan was light, fluffy and delicious. Can't wait to come back for more - we don't live in Barton but it worth the journey for food this good! We ate on a Thursday, was very quiet. Only one other table in. Had lovely conversation with the owner, about Siri Lanka and how they had only just started up 2 months earlier and are still finding their feet here. Was very welcoming and very courteous, couldn’t have done more for us. As for the food, we had the garlic prawn starter between us, was lovely and packed with flavourful Fresh ingredients. We each had the devils dish, which is spicy and sweet curry in a sticky sauce. I had chicken, partner had the prawns. Both absolutely amazing, very well presented. The Mushroom rice had a wonderful depth of flavour. We had coconut roti and garlic roti, I wasn’t a fan of the coconut roti but the garlic roti was great. Taste like a thin garlic pancake but it really works. Authentic Siri lankan cuisine. Highly recommend!

Can't recommend this place enough , some of the best Thai food I have ever had , don't bother with any of the Chinese restaurants in wetherby if you fancy east Asian food , Baanrai is leaps and bounds ahead of them in taste and quality at a fairly similar price

We found the Mirchi lounge whilst on holiday and had a lovely meal there. All the Indian restaurant favourites are here as well as a good range of house specials. Whilst the prices had increased from the menu shown on their website they were still very good value. We had two courses plus drinks for two of us and it came to just over 50 pounds. We felt very full and both enjoyed our food. Two more happy customers here!
