Literally popped in to get some food, staff very friendly and polite, very welcoming, recommend the food it's delicious. 👌

We popped in on a wednesday night - lovely table and set up - staff really friendly and helpful and food was fantastic - clean and fresh and full of flavour - I had the salt and pepper prawns to start followed by the jungle curry - lip snacking tasty Would go back and eat the same

Myself and a group of friends came for dinner for our friends birthday. The food was absolutely outstanding, so fresh, authentic snd full of flavour , everyone round the table loved their meals. The service was so friendly, warm and welcoming, and could do not enough for us. As it was my friends birthday, I had arrived early and asked if they would mind popping some candles In a small pudding, they were more than happy to do this and when it came to it they brought out 2 large pieces of cake singing happy birthday so everyone round the table could have a bit too , not just the birthday girl! So kind ! We will absolutely be returning , thanh you for a really lovely evening and with fab food!

Delicious food. We had the tempura vegetables and dumplings to start, followed by cashew stir fry with chicken and chill beef. Top quality. Great service.

This was my first time trying Thai food and was pleasantly surprised, although compact for seating in the cafe the food was amazing and the prices were great. The staff couldn't do enough for you. Totally recommend

Lovely place. First visit but won’t be our last. Food was piping hot and delicious, good range of choice on menu. Alcohol expensive though.

Visited for the first time on a Tuesday evening as a family of 4. We booked a couple of hours in advance and managed to get a table. Drink selection was wonderful, and the menu had plenty of choice including a vegan menu for one diner. We had vegetable spring rolls, Thai fish cakes, tofu and prawn toast to start and then chow mein, sweet and sour chicken and beef fried rice including sides. The Thai food was outstanding as was the service! We were pleased to hear they also do take out and we will definitely be visiting again.

I got a delicious takeaway of Phad Thai and some spicy chips. Made my day a lot better; I’ll make sure to eat in at this place next time I want Thai food!

Amazing restaurant, I visited about 2 years ago but went again tonight and it was better than I remember. Amazing taste and presentation on the meals. Brilliant relaxed atmosphere 😎 Great little gem in Wetherby.

They have an entire vegan section of the menu which is great! So nice to have such easy choices!

10 of us went for a family meal, great service, food arrived quickly and was delicious. Even the kids are everything and they're normally fussy... Will be back!!!

Got a take away pad thai , masaman curry and jasmine rice. Food was superb, best Thai going. Highly recommend. Will be returning very soon. Good value as well.

Just finished a dinner with my friend. We felt amazed after every dish was served onto the table. The chicken chest, which I hate to eat, is the softest and most delicious one I’ve ever tried. And my friend, who was not fond of eat Thai soup, wowed the soup here. I suggest the owner of this restaurant to open another branch in Leeds, where I studied, to save the saliva of the people there.

We had a lovely evening dining here. The food was delicious, the service excellent in comfortable surroundings.

Visited with the family last night. The food is absolutely fantastic, suitable for all with lovely flavoursome non spicy dishes through to really spicy. Shame that it wasn’t busier as wouldn’t want Wetherby to lose such a great restaurant

A small yet very good local Thai restaurant, making authentic dishes from scratch. Main courses are always good, tried plenty of them, though some starters could be improved. Have been multiple times and will continue to go back as offers great value, good food and is a small independent that needs support.

The food was beyond gorgeous and the service brilliant, this really is a little gem of a find in the heart of Wetherby and we'll be returning very soon.

I’ve visited Baanrai many times, and brought many friends along, and the food is always beautiful and fresh. Gluten free and Vegan are no problem at all - I always feel safe eating here as a celiac. The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully, and has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. I will continue to visit and to recommend to everyone I know who is local!

Lovely little resteraunt, I have quite a serious peanut allergy and was a little nervous about eating here, but the chef himself came and reassured me there would be no issues. Food was fantastic and the staff were lovely.

Food was lovely. Came very quick. Had King Prawn Thai Red curry and a chicken pad Thai. Delicious.

Been here a few times now. Food is always fabulous and great service too (very accommodating for my partner who has hearing difficulties so they gave us a quiet table). Definitely recommend the sharing platter for starters...

Wow. Where do I start? I hosted a party of 16 for my birthday, and every guest raved about the food! We pre-ordered starters and mains, in addition to some extras for all to share that weren't on the menu (pad Woonsen and Moo Yang for Thai food connoisseurs) and they all came out hot and in good time. They even put some birthday decorations up for me. We started planning about a month prior and everything went smoothly. Thank you the whole staff and especially Jack for cooking the delicious food! We forgot to take any photos, sadly 😔

I’ve visited many Thai restaurants over the years and this one is now my favourite, the food was absolutely amazing, the staff were very polite and knowledgeable about the menu and recommended a beautiful crispy duck dish. Overall a fantastic dining experience, would highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

We have been before and very good tonight’s meal was terrible 😞 tasteless no flavour wrong order and they did rectify it but obv rushed it as plain chicken and noodles no veg … nothing … when I called they just said very busy very busy !

Lovely restaurant, lovely food and staff were excellent, I've only rated it 3 as we were freezing cold, we kept our coats on, my daughter kept her hat on as well. The radiators were on but not enough to take your coat off, sitting next to a single glazed window that had so much cold coming from it didn't help, so It's a shame, if it had been warmer we would have definitely gone again over the winter months. As it is we'll wait until the warmer weather.

I've just paid £32 for our lunch it was two meals sweet and sour king prawns and fried rice little bit expensive for rice and literally 4 prawns

The food here was lovely visited Saturday 6th august 22 I had soup which was spot on and Thai red curry it was so tasty My partner had the crispy duck and that was equally as tasty I will be coming back when in the area Thankyou for an enjoyable meal

Need to address coffee making! No one appeared to know how to work the coffee making machine. Also the room was cold and uninviting.

Food was fantastic!!! Had the starter to share which arrived very quickly. Big ice bucket with our bottle of Prosecco. Mains were so tasty, best I've had in a long time! Fast efficient & friendly service. Little gem of a restaurant and take away. Well worth a visit & we'll definitely be back!

Had takeaway twice in the last 2 weeks, and it was fantastic! I love dark green cabbage, and they were great about substituting that for mushrooms. Nice staff, fabulous, hot food and fast service.

We ordered a takeaway last night at 7.40pm. We ordered; Mixture of starters Chilli and ginger beef stir fry Duck with noodles and tamarind sauce. I went to go pick up the order after an hour; when I got there the restaurant was busy so I waited an additional 20-25 mins for my order. Which I didn't mind however when I got home I pulled out the 'duck' for my boyfriend and it was in fact a king prawn wilted salad. We rang the restaurant back to say they'd messed the order up and they asked us to go back down in 20 mins to pick up what we had ordered. My stir fry looked and tasted very plain-the beef was not seasoned and the vegetables were just carrots chopped up and a few cauliflower heads, not what you'd expect for a Thai vegetable based stir-fry. The starters were fine but again lacked flavour and freshness. The whole experience was a let down and I ended up leaving my beef and putting something in the oven as I just really could not enjoy it. This was the first time we have been back since Yum Yum Thai shut. We were beyond disappointed with the food and won't be going back.

Best red Thai curry ever. What a find this restaurant was, I love Thai food and the food here definitely one of best Thai meals I have had. It's a small place, with friendly staff. It was a Tuesday afternoon when I went so was quite. I had salt and chilli chicken, the batter was really light and was great balance of flavour. I then had Red Thai curry which was with out a doubt the best one I have eaten, ( I have eaten and cooked plenty of Thai food) the curry was great consistency and the flavour was so fresh, I don't know how they do it but the bamboo shoots in curry was cooked so they were so delicate and soft, The only problem with is I live so far away from the place and can't go as often as I would like to. But I will be back.

Visited the Baanrai twice since it opened,superb Thai food,cooked fresh as both my wife and I wanted a variant from the menu and the Thai rose wine is delightful all of which is sensibly price paired with friendly service.

We went as a walk in on the opening night, offered a free bottle of house wine!! But on a booze free night so we said no…errr Mix starter for two.,..faultless I ordered the sea bass with curry cooked to perfection!! Jasmin rice, my wife had chicken with pad Thai noodle very nice! Going again to celebrate bern told I’m going to be a grandad!!!! About time Wetherby got another good restaurant!!
