La mejor comida tailandesa que hemos comido... cada plato que pedimos estaba delicioso. El restaurante es precioso y el personal tan amable y acogedor. Volveremos y si viviéramos en Leeds, ¡comeríamos allí todas las semanas!

La comida era deliciosa. Los tamaños de las porciones no eran enormes, pero 5 platos satisfacían fácilmente a 2 personas. Sabores increíbles y un ambiente frío.

Increíble servicio del personal, la comida era rápida y deliciosa, ambiente encantador, sin duda recomendaría si estás en Leeds!

Este restaurante vale cada centavo. El personal es maravilloso y muy educado. Es pequeño, por lo que reservar puede ser la mejor opción. La comida es para morir. No te decepcionarás.

Lovely food, on the high end price wise nit really nicely flavoured. We had some of the vegetarian options and a noodle dish with tofu. Well decorated cosey place but quite warm which made us want to leave as soon as we had finished. Overall would recommend

We arrived about 5 mins before our reservation and were told we have 1hr 15mins to eat and would then have to leave as someone else needed our table. We queried this as it didn’t feel like enough time and were told that we could actually stay for 1hr 30 but it sounded like they were doing us a favour. Overall, the food was delicious and beyond this little hiccup, the service was decent. However, it really put a downer on our evening as we felt like we had to rush to order and then eat. We were done in about an hour and felt like we didn’t truly get to enjoy the atmosphere or food in retrospect. The worst part was that when we did leave, the restaurant had multiple available tables. Also, they accepted two walk ins without reservations during our meal showing that they must have had enough tables (there were only two of us). Overall, we spent £80 but didn’t feel like we got our money’s worth and while the food was good, it was on par with our local, independent Thai restaurant which costs less and doesn’t start the evening by telling you when you need to leave.

They do a really great early bird offer which is £50 - includes 2 beers or soft drinks, prawn crackers, rice and 5 tapas. The menu is of course smaller but we'll worth it and is more than enough for 2 people.

Variedad de platos recién cocinados , sabrosos y de gran valor. Había 5 de nosotros pedimos 10-12 platos entre nosotros que era casi correcto, la comida tenía un gran sabor Carne crujiente. La carne de res, el brócoli crujiente, el pato, el curry Masamannam, las gambas tempura y el cojín de panza de cerdo tailandés, entre otros, eran encantadores. Ideal para una noche en pareja o familia, cena de amigos del trabajo Inténtalo. POR FAVOR

Visitamos anoche como cena previa al teatro. Había revisado el menú antes y pensé que las opciones de tapas se veían muy bien. El menú es extenso con algunas grandes opciones. La comida estaba bien presentada, pero era tan decepcionante. El calamar crujiente de sal y pimienta era masticable y como el caucho, las empanadas de pescado también eran como el caucho. Pedimos la carne crujiente dulce y salada, que literalmente se quemó trozos de carne desmenuzada y la salsa era muy aceitosa. El único plato bueno era el cerdo de vientre en salsa hoisin servido en una hoja de lechuga. El servicio era pobre, los camareros no estaban interesados - no vamos a volver.

A hidden gem in Leeds city centre, hiding in plain sight. Absolutely faultless, great service, amazing food, good prices. Great little find and will recommend to anyone looking for a good restaurant in Leeds.

El curry era mi favorito pero he olvidado cómo se llamaba. Sin duda volveremos cuando sea el próximo en la zona.

Fantástica selección de tapas tailandesas que fue una gran oportunidad para probar varios platos. La comida era genial, muy sabrosa! El servicio fue atento sin ser intrusivo. El restaurante tenía un interior atractivo. Nos habríamos dejado una propina, pero el alto cargo por servicio se encargó de eso, que me imagino que es opcional, pero lo pagamos de todos modos. Los platos eran quizás un poco caros para el tamaño de la porción, pero aprecio que los platos pequeños son a menudo más intensivos en mano de obra. Estábamos muy contentos con la experiencia en general y nos gustaría volver.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but overall, the experience was a bit disappointing. The food was quite average, with heavy localization, so it didn’t feel like authentic Thai cuisine. Considering the taste and quality, I found it to be overpriced for what you get.

On business in Leeds - 3rd night looking for somewhere walkable close to centre and train station. Chose this on spec but what a great choice! Tasty tapas some old faves like green Thai and pad Thai but also some great new dishes - sea bass was a winner with crispy mushrooms and belly pork coming close. Recommend this little restaurant which is in a basement but decorated to create a great vibe

Food was outstanding, we ordered three dishes each and some rice which was probably the right amount of food. Everything was delicious, loved the chicken wings in fish sauce caramel, Som Tum, Crispy Pork Belly, Panaeg Beef. Service was dissapointing, they seemed to be packing up at 1930, clearly didn't want to be there, it was difficult to get more drinks and our water replenished, we ordered desserts only to find out that the chef didn't want to cook anything else at 2030 so had to miss out. Left feeling dissapointed despite the incredible food, if they don't want customers just close for the evening. Anyway, I'd still visit again but maybe earlier in the day before the staff want to go home.

I've tried several Thai restaurants in the UK, and I have to say, this place is quite good, especially for someone like me who is Thai. The food was tasty compared to other Thai restaurants, and the service was exceptional. The atmosphere was also fantastic. However, the portion sizes were a bit small. Overall, I highly recommend it!

Quirky place in what looks like a house basement. It's tight and crowded. However, the food is fantastic and very well priced and sized to get 2-3 dishes per person. Definitely recommended

Nice selection to choose from on the menu. We went for a few tapas dishes which were all really tasty. The dining area is really nicely decorated despite it being small.

Lovely Thai tapas restaurant in Leeds. All of the dishes tasted fresh, had lots of flavor, and had decent sauces, which we really enjoyed. Each tapas dish is over 8 pounds snd 3-4 dishes per person is sufficient. The dishes with crispy pork belly are highly recommended.

The food here is very good. However I have been put off visiting again due to the service and getting our order wrong. Firstly we arrived at 7:30pm without a booking and asked if they had any availability on a table for two that evening, we was told no and that they were full, the lady did not even seem to check or try to accommodate us. I went back up the stairs outside to get a mobile phone signal, checked online and booked a table for two for 8:30pm that evening. Secondly although the food is good here, we ordered three dishes each, one of which was not what we had ordered. When mentioned this to the staff and queried this, the lady went through the dishes. No apology and said it was what we had ordered, I didn’t want to make much of a fuss or get into a debate about what dish was what so we carried on eating. I then ordered an extra dish which was what should have came in the first place. Please be careful on what you order and make sure it’s correct. The staff seem too busy to care not much attention is given in terms of customer service here but the food as mentioned is good.

Hi there! Firstly, I’m a huge fan phranakhon. The food is always outstanding and well priced. I’ve actually got more of a specific issue I would love to speak to somebody about. Last night me and my partner arrived for a 7pm booking which I had made several days in advance, in the booking notes I even stated how this was for my partners birthday as it’s one of her favourite restaurants (because the food is that good!) Sadly things did not go well last night. It was clear the team had no table prepared for us even thought we arrived on time. They then spent the next 5 minutes discussing where they would even put us while we stood around (even though there were multiple tables of 2 available) Once we were sat down, a server immediately came over and asked if were okay to leave in exactly an hours time, I myself work in hospitality and understand it can be quite difficult when an unexpected booking turn up however, to ask us if we will only take an hour to eat our food and be out of the restaurant just feels wrong. I don’t see this as acceptable. Let alone the fact I’d already booked and this was supposed to be special for my partners birthday celebrations. It instantly left a sour taste in our mouths as it was such a disappointment to be told we’re essentially getting kicked out in an hour when we already like this place so much! Anyway…. We’re now sat down and feeling a bit down, next we see two separate tables of 2 sit around us and each are served their starters of prawn crackers and drinks before us. Something we thought nothing of. Then both tables are served their mains of tapas dishes, before we have even received our prawn crackers let alone our main dishes. At this point we’re finding it hard to enjoy the place as it feels as if the staff have essentially kicked us to the side. Now to make matters worse, and I want to make it clear that this is what really upset us, BOTH of these tables had paid up and left before we were even served our mains! They arrived much later than us and somehow ate their starters, mains and paid the bill before we had even begun eating. I spent just short of £90 on this meal and I didn’t even get an apology off the staff. I am not the sort to ask for compensation as it just feels cheeky however I think an apology was more than expected at this point. All in we waited just under an hour after ordering our food, to be served it. While watching people who arrived later than us eat and leave. I’d like to state I think this is a one off occurrence as phranakhon certainly run a tight ship! To say the least, I am really unhappy with this and feel I have spent far too much to be treated the way we were. I would be more than happy to discuss this further with somebody. Thanks!

Visited here 13/04/24 with my wife for lunch. The restaurant is lovely… small and intimate. They have lots of variety on the menu and all sounded very delicious. We chose 5 tapas and 2 glasses of wine while came to £81, which I didn’t think was too bad. However I paid £90 in cash, but my change never materialised. Normally I would leave a tip, but at least give me the option to choose how much I give instead of presuming that the change was in fact the tip

Nice place, nice food but the service we received was really poor. They completely missed two people's orders. After reordering them they still got it wrong and still missed two dishes from one order. Eventually both got food, but one only received the bulk of their order after the rest of us had finished eating. We were only a party of 6 and the restaurant wasn't very busy so it really is an unforgivable service.

Phranakhon is one of my all time favourite restaurants and today confirmed that once more. Not only is there an extensive tapas menu, it caters for all food requirements with plenty of vegetarian food also. The staff are very polite and helpful and the food is amazing.

4 of us went Monday evening- Down stairs, restaurant is in basement, plenty of atmosphere although only 1/3 full. Ordered 8 tapas plates plus some rice and veg. Fish, belly pork, sea bass, squid , prawns- everything extremely tasty and variety of flavours. Friendly efficient staff. Great evening, good value. On a Monday night plenty of parking outside on street, but didn’t expect a flippin traffic warden ☹️

Despite the outside basement staircase looking uninviting go inside. It’s lovely! And the food is great.

The place is really good! The interior is wonderful, the serving is really fast. I only have 3 stars for the food because the portions are small for the price. Other than that they have a huge variety, the taste is excellent but buy at least 2 if not 3 :) The english language of the staff could be better as well. Other than that, I recommend the place!

Me and my partner were both very impressed by the place. Food was delicious and the atmosphere is so welcoming and pleasant. There was a clear issue with our ResDiary booking but the staff were so friendly and accommodating despite the added stress. Much love x

I was away for business and was looking for a non branded restaurant with good quality food. With lots of choice in Leeds this one took my eye on trip advisor. The restaurant was in a basement decorated beautifully inside, it had a cosy ambience inside. For a Monday the restaurant was pretty busy with two people serving. As the dishes were tapas it was recommended to have 2-3 dishes each. We went for the beef Penang curry which was rich in flavour with a thick sauce. Broccoli in soy garlic and chilli. Prawns and a chicken rice dish. Everything was hot and had some great Thai flavours. We did also have prawn crackers but didn’t manage to eat these it was a step too far we found that 2 dishes each was perfect! Service was prompt and friendly. A great find and I would definitely recommend!

This is the best restaurant in Leeds. The food is unbelievably amazing and the restaurant is really atmospheric. You'd never imagine from the exterior as to what lies down the steps to the premises. They will Thai tapas / small plates, ingenious really aa you get to eat lots of delicious foods for your meal. I forgot to take photos when there on Friday night which is a shame but trust me when I say this is the BEST place in town

It's probably the best tapas thai in Leeds. Plates are small, but enough if you want to sample quite a few different tastes and not get full up on one big dish, service is always excellent, nice and cosy for two, but also cater for bigger parties, get yourself there if you want to sample delicious food 😀

Disappointing! We went last week and got food poisoning. Such a shame, it’s a nice place and the staff were friendly. Food was such a let down - avoid.

Disappointing experience. Very small portions they are snack size on very small plates at a average full size meal price! For instance We chose the Seabass for one of our dishes, this was served as four small bite sized pieces on large lettuce leaves obviously in a attempt to make the plate look full! Cramped sitting too many tables for space available elbows kept rubbing with the next person sat at the table. Felt I was sitting in a railway carriage diner! Only redeaming feature here was the cherry blossom type artifical trees which did look nice. Staff average did not earn any tips as not exceptional service. Drinks menu was limited with no warm beverages available on the day we visited, this was in spite of me seeing these offered on a previously posted on line menu! The Prawns were served still in their shells which I thought was laziness on the part of the kitchen staff. Most similar restaurants would shell them before serving. This I have seen in previous reviews the proprietors do not seem to have taken on board their patrons comments, therefore the capacity to improve is nil. I would not eat here again and cannot recommend this Restaurant. Other Thai Restaurants that I have visited in Leeds Elsewhere in the UK Europe and Thailand itself have all been better. Left still feeling hungry.

Had a lovely meal here last night. Every dish was fresh and delicious and service was great. The Shiraz we chose was just the right temperature and very reasonably priced. We will definitely return.

Another hidden gem,local to the metropol hotel down a few stairs and what a lovely restaurant tastefully decorated and the staff were very friendly and helpful with menu choices.we had two tapas each,noodles and a portion of prawn crackers, we were pleasantly full when we left. Would definitely recommend this little gem and there’s plenty of tables and seating for large groups.

Really lovely food, well priced & quick service. We visited here as a large booking for my friends birthday & the experience was lovely. As someone who loves lots of variety in a meal the small dishes work perfectly for trying lots with little waste left over. Definitely going to come back again soon!

Booked and went for lunch , had good experiences previously, but this time service good, really friendly but my food not great really. Thai Chicken Curry was okay. Prawns were awful, one or two raw and bit into one that was cold. Rice was average. Dont fall for the prawn crackers, charged £5. Won't bother returning, save your time and money.

Gorgeous romantic little restaurant. Lovely ambience and decoration. Great quick service and fantastic food. We ordered about 6/7 dishes between 2 of us. The shredded beef was the only one that was a bit meh, the rest were yummy!!!! Highly recommend the squid it was the best. Will definitely return

Entrance can seem abit strange but trust me it’s a hidden gem. So much choice for food and the quality is out of this world. Service was quick and friendly. The cocktails were pretty good too. All in all very reasonable and very tasty.

Horrible. Booked in advance and was stuffed into a dark corner next to the only other table with guests. Asked to sit elsewhere but was told no. Mediocre food to say the least. A horrible experience not worth the money.

Cosy basement Thai tapas restaurant with pleasing soft tone lighting and decor. Had crispy pork belly and Tom Yam Kung, bot excellently prepared, very tasty.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant! Stunning decor and atmosphere, the food was the best Thai we have ever had. We went on Saturday 14th October for a birthday celebration and everyone had a great time and found ever dish we had to be delicious. The service was impeccable, very attentive waiters, very patient, and polite. Thank you very much, we will be back 😀

The restaurant is down some stairs so it felt like we were entering a secret underground club which was fun. The place was artfully decorated with cherry blossom trees. We went on a Monday evening and we knew it must be good as it was busy and Thai people were eating there too. The tapas style is a good idea as you can try a few dishes which were all delicious. My student son loved it and is going to put it on his 'first date list'. I also recommended the restaurant to a work colleague and he rated it highly too.
