Amazing place. And the Famous Hoppy 7 balled Spikey in pool which makes it even more amazing.

Fui con amigos a probar el menú caribeño, pero desearía no haberlo hecho. Tres de nosotros probamos el curry de cabra y arroz y guisantes. Fue el curry de cabra más insípido, que he comido y lo mismo para el arroz, que era solo un tazón insípido de stdge. El servicio era eficiente, pero el personal era miserable y la camarera principal habló con el personal frente a los clientes. Cuando ella preguntó cómo era nuestra comida y yo dije pobre, mostrándole el arroz. Ella respondió diciéndome que así es como debería ser arroz y guisantes 🤦‍♀️. Me compraron arroz y guisantes, así que sé que no debería. Se ofreció a cambiar la comida, pero ya era demasiado tarde. Una experiencia muy pobre el sábado por la noche a la que no volvería. Las instalaciones sanitarias de las señoras dejaron mucho que desear. Una experiencia gastronómica muy decepcionante y definitivamente no lo haría

Estábamos muy contentos de haber visitado finalmente aquí. Primero oímos hablar del restaurante debido al tío Roger y hemos estado pidiendo los kits de comida como resultado. La comida en el restaurante no decepcionó. Las comidas llegaron bastante rápido y estaban deliciosos. No veo la hora de volver cuando estemos en Cardiff.

Friendly service and quick service. Great value for money with the amount of food but a couple of things that stop me giving a 5* rating. - Some items need a bit more cooking especially the black pudding and bacon. - Bits of coffee granules floating in the coffee. - Get lots of bacon but hardly any beans. - Cutlery is uncomfortable to use (too thin). They are just some minor issues, didn't stop me enjoying my breakfast and at a reasonable price too. Cakes looked amazing, wish we took some away. Would come back if in the area again.

Thoroughly recommend the fish, chips, mushy peas, tartare sauce and salad from the Light Bites lunchtime menu. Portion size great for two "oldies". Excellent friendly service, spotlessly clean.

We had booked to stay here for one night during a road trip around Wales but, on arrival, discovered the booking had been cancelled. I think it was me, by accident… anyway, the couple who run the Slaters could not have been better. They finished preparing a room for us and our dog Pamela. We ate in the pub (which is busy, friendly and really welcoming) and the food was very high standard. The village is small but great to wander around and locals chatted to us as we went. The room was lovely too. Quite big, very clean and excellent bathroom. The outside of the pub doesn’t give a clue as to the welcome and standard awaiting you. Excellent in every way.

We went here for our kid's bday, and there biggest asset is the variety in the menu, and everything we ordered tasted yum. We went for their chicken thali, chicken lollypop, vada pav, dosa and gajar halwa. Everything was yum, but the lollypop and gajar halwa was exceptional! Highly recommend it! FYI- we are indians and reasonable cooks ourselves, so know our Indian food :)

Great food, friendly staff, good value. Had the Sunday roast. Plenty of food and gravy. Not too crowded. Would go back again.

Had the worst experience at the huntsman tonight had curry and chips it was disgusting I told the lady behind the bar who seemed to look like the boss but she was not interested at all which I was taken aback so will not go back again and will tell my friends not to go there you should give your staff a talking to to make sure there customers are looked after

We stopped in for a quick lunch. The lady behind the bar was friendly and welcoming and the bar is well stocked with draught beer and a good range of wine. there is seating both inside and outside There is an extensive menu but we only wanted a light lunch. What we selected was fine but fairly bland - the salad only had a lightly drizzle of dressing. It was a pleasant visit and we would stop here again and try some other dishes.

i like there coffee which is very organic coffee i really enjoy veri delicious coffee thankyou all of that serve us and hope to see you soon .

Excellent Sunday lunch, the lamb dinners were the best my husband and father had ever had! Service was excellent and staff very friendly. My parents enjoyed it so much that they will be visiting again in the new year. We will definitely go back on our next stay.

I saved this as my post mountain climbing treat.. and boy it was worth it!!! The scoops are huge and the flavours of ice cream are incredible!! Really well done on that. Brilliant little ice cream shop

Fantastic to see this shop and cafe up and running again following a fire last year. Well done to all involved in bringing it back to life! Delicious coffee and selection of local produce available. Great play area for the children too.
