The best restaurants in Wales

My sister and I were attending a family occasion and wanted to find a cafe for a cup of tea as we had an hour to spare. Lucky for us we found the honeybee house tearooms. It was extremely busy but the welcoming staff found us a table and we ordered Narnia hot chocolate. The most delicious hot chocolate I have ever had with a lovely Turkish delight flavour. Thank you so much to the friendly staff we will see you again next time we’re in Cardiff as we need to try your cakes.

Food is absolutely banging! There isn’t a pub or restaurant that comes near the standard of this place, it’s a gem ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😀

Absolutely delicious food in a beautiful location. We had the fish and chips, butternut squash quiche with chips and salad, and kids fish and chips and chicken strips and chips. It was all perfect. The only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of cheaper options. There were no paninis being served so the cheapest adult option was £15, which isn’t ideal when you’re just popping in for a light lunch. We spent £54 on four meals and one drink which my husband and I shared, because we couldn’t justify spending much more than that on lunch. (Tap water available from the outside tap!) The staff were friendly and there was a relaxed vibe We will definitely come again for coffee and cake, the cakes looked incredible. We couldn’t afford another £25 today for coffee and cakes!

Had an amazing meal here, very well priced, one of the best steaks ever had, clean, homely, lovely staff, hot food would highly recommend

Loved everything about Sosban! Everything was done with intent and from the heart. This is very confident cooking and there is nothing mainstream about the entire experience. Go if you have an open mind, adventurous and are able to trust the chef. If you like a convential michelin starred restaurant, then this won't be for you.

Had eaten here previously and decided this was the venue for our relaxed wedding lunch. The quality of the food was exceptional. innovative, fun, and tasty. The service was also exceptional with plenty of staff to look after us. The wine list was also superb. What a wonderful couple who run the deli/cafe/restaurant. It is Aberystwyth's treasure. The food cooked by Mario and his wife Chiara is amazing and very reasonably priced. They are an important part of the community and they care.

Had an early table booked for dinner today,and what a good idea it was.It had been a beautiful day and the view from the Hotel that contains the Tonnau restaurant is truly spectacular.We had a drink from the bar and took in the view whilst pondering over the menu which is quite comprehensive for all tastes.My wife chose the sea bass on a bed of veg and I chose the Italian chicken with mash and veg.These mains were beautifully cooked and presented hot and fresh.The desserts were duperb also and we retired back to the bar for coffee. The dining room is nicely presented with plush carpet and soft furnishings.The bar and lounge is also luxuriously fitted out and of course has the view.All staff were friendly and efficient and we had s really nice evening.

I brought my wife and kids to this place as I fancied a curry. I hadnt booked and just walked in. The waiting staff were exceptional and polite special thank you to Lilly who brought our drinks and to Tipu for his advise on the curries. Would recommend this place thank yoi.

Fresh fish and chips, variety of sides and drinks at good prices. Fantastic energy from the team, I'd happily recommend this chippy.

Wow! It will be hard to shift this meal from my top five of all time! Excellent service, great chicken starter for me, halloumi for my partner; we both opted for the lamb, cooked beautifully, as were the vegetables. Finished off with copious amounts of cheese (partner went for chocolate pudding) and a very nice glass of port. Many thanks for a wonderful experience!
