In my opinion not gastro pub but decent pub food at a reasonable price. Only booked yesterday and couldn't fault the service. Young lady on the bar was faultless

Amazing lunch!! Tai'r Bull was beautifully decorated and our table was lovely with christmas tree, crackers and festive lights etc. From the lovely home made starters to the amazing mains (everyone got a yorkshire and pigs in blanket) regardless of choice preceeded by champagne sorbet and prosecco. Followed by fabulous home made deserts, then coffee, mince pies and mints. Spent a leisurely afternoon there being looked after by Kate, Keighleigh, Jasmine, Rich, Ian, Liam and staff. They work so hard but still have time to chat to you. Thank you for a wonderful meal and I hope you have a good break in mid January. Can't wait to return in the New Year.

Amazing views of Pen Y Fan, fabulous friendly service, nicely cooked pub grub. Probably one of my new favourite places to eat out now. Keep up the good work! Unfortunately I started my food too quick for photos 🤣

Superb lamb steak, with chips, mushrooms etc. Followed by whiskey cheesecake. Washed down by my favourite beer, Butty Bach. Simply superb! Oh! And the service was great, very friendly staff.

Proper local pub, warm and inviting. Great menu, the lamb steak was superb. You may need two spoons to share the syrup sponge pudding.

We were staying in Brecon for the weekend and wanted a friendly pub with a good atmosphere and home cooked food. The Tai'r Bull Inn certainly ticked all the boxes. We were made to feel so welcome by all the staff and the food and service was excellent. The atmosphere is cosy and its definitely worth booking as there are limited tables. We visited on two consecutive nights and both occasions were excellent

A great, friendly pub located just down the road from the Storey Arms. We've been here a couple of times now after climbing Pen Y Fan etc and it is perfectly situated 5 minutes down the road. The very friendly staff serve wholesome, delicious food and a wide selection of beers and ciders to wash it down as well. You won't be disappointed, pay them a visit next time you're in the Brecon Beacons!

We were passing through and fancied a bite to eat. I had Big Mamas Chicken Curry Rich & Chips which amazingly tasty! My wife Ali went for the vegetarian Ratatouille which was equally as awesome! We went with our dog Milo so we decided to sit outside and enjoy the views. Katie and her team were so sweet...they brought Milo a bowl of tasty sausages and he woofed them up sharpish 😋 Lovely people and atmosphere, gorgeous surroundings and very sensibly priced for great home cooked food! We will definitely pop back and visit again and highly recommend it to everyone

Booked a table here at 5pm tonight . What a lovely restaurant. The food is fabulous and the service was great until we requested the dessert menu. There was a fair wait till the waitress took our order ,but it did come quickly after that. Will we call in and use again definitely.

We were staying in Hay and Drover offer the only charger for electric vehicles in the town (and it's free). They were generous with their suggestions of using it overnight. They sell maps for local road and MTB rides too, so after we'd been out on one, we stopped by for a coffee and cake. They sell energy bars and gels too, if you're stocking up before or during a ride. A very friendly team!

Lovely local server. I had the vegetarian curry, which was (surprisingly) brilliant! Homemade, and tasted fresh and well-balanced spices- unusual for a vegetarian meal. Husband had ham, egg and chips. Chips were crispy, and ham was a generous portion, tasty and thick-cut. 😋 2 slices of ham, and 2 eggs. Great 👍

Stayed with my daughter for a couple of nights before the school term restarts. Room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Very quiet with a gorgeous view of the Welsh countryside. Breakfast was lovely and filling. A real shame they don't do evening meals as it meant we ended up with takeaways in the car as I wasn't sure if we'd be allowed to bring in hot food. That aside, we enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again.
