Lovely, the food is light, fulfilling and dellicately delicious. The tasting menu with wine pairing left me feeling replenished and energised rather than stuffed full. The staff are informative, attentive, and lovely and made our stay very enjoyable . The Whitebrook feels like a doorway to the wild lands that surround and nourish it. Wonderful.

Honest review: Good range of drinks but coke mixer totally flat. Lamb steak very good but had to wait over an hour. Maybe that’s why the chicken was really dry. Good but could be better. Shame the landlord doesn’t address the issues in these reviews. That’s what comes of having a captive market I suppose.

Absolutely stunning meal. Steak incredibly tender and cooked to perfection. Starters were very tasty and the chef was such a lovely lady. She deserves so much praise. The restaurant is little and so cosy, parking is very easy. Over the railway bridge is a car park. Just google it. The price if our meal was fantastic too. Im an ex military chef and I could not find fault at all with this awesome little restaurant unlike some people. Its taken ages to get a table here and we will 100% be coming back. X

The two male owners are the most delightful people; friendly, efficient & welcoming hosts. The ambience is first-class, & breakfast was fantastic. This is a gem. Parking is tricky, but with some jockeying can be accomplished quite easily. We had a brilliant stay there.

Went with my friend and we both ended up getting the same thing. Although there wasn't anymore tables for two, we were seated at a nice area upstairs. The food was absolutely delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed. The only thing that could've made it better was perhaps a little more variety (though this doesn't mean their selection is bad! Just not my style necessarily) and perhaps going at a quieter time, which was not their fault either. An absolutely great experience, I suspect my friend and I will be coming here again.

We went for the three course set lunch on a Friday in October. Cardiff has a food scene dominated by chain burgers and pizzas joints, alongside a heathy range of family Italians and coffee shops. As such fine dining options are limited. To find them you need to drift out of the centre and into the suburbs. Canton/Pontcanna is the best of these with several options establishing themselves in recent years - of which Thomas' is a prime example. This lunch was our second visit since it opened pre-Covid and I can't recommend it enough. Having eaten in several one and two Michelin Star restaurants over the years I would say Thomas' is easily worthy of a Star rating. All the dishes were extremely well designed and executed. With a new menu each month there is little point reviewing specific dishes so I'll simply say that everything we had was excellent. The same goes for the service which was both attentive and non-invasive. When I compare this to other Fine Dining options in Cardiff this is clearly at the top and I would strongly recommend it. Yes it is expensive for the evening menu, but these set lunches are pitched correctly and well worth trying out. The closest local comparison was the now closed James Sommerin Restaurant on Penarth Seafront. Sadly the Home concept has yet to live up to what was achieved there, but at least we have this delivering the same quality and price point.

What a find !!! Visited this wonderful family restaurant for lunch and was not disappointed. Cosy, homely restaurant with a very friendly owner, cook, waiter and chief bottle washer all rolled into one. Fantastic home made Italian food with wonderful taste and worth every penny. Will definitely visit again and so should whoever reads this review.

We went for Sunday lunch and they managed to squeeze us in at the last minute. The food was seriously good, best Sunday roast lamb I've ever had. Really warm, friendly pub with great walking from the pub. Lovely view over the church and beyond from the garden too. Really looking forward to coming back

Stunning experience at the Old Printworks. The small plates dining experience is such a great idea. The food is Michelin Star quality and the service is is fantastic from enthusiastic and friendly staff. If you are in Cardigan this is an experience not to be missed.

Ordered a takeaway, but food arrived 40 mins late. I called after 25 mins and they said it would be another 5mins when in fact it was 15. No surprise the food was stone cold on arrival. Food was tasty but the starters and potota probably didn’t fare well after having to be microwaved. Shame as I had high expectations.
