Wow wow wow, what an absolute gem. First visit today and it won't be the last, may even go back tomorrow. Everything is just right, the atmosphere, the food, the staff. Perfection. Always wondered why there is always a queue out the door here and now I get it and will happily queue

Cute cafe. I had the avo toast with egg which was nice, however, the avocado toast was tiny. Im not even a big eater was more like an hors d'eouvres and was only 1 tiny piece of bread instead of 2. Please consider larger and more pieces of bread for your avo toast, it's not post WW2 ration times.

The cooked breakfasts were delicious. Good quality sausages and bacon were used, and everything on the plate was cooked as it should be. Faultless. The service was excellent but not intrusive. Everyone was polite, friendly, and helpful. Can't wait to return.

A lovely coffee shop in the day and bar by night. Staff are always chatty and friendly - and happy to make off-menu cocktails if I fancy something specific! The only downside is that you can't always find a table!

What an absolute little gem this place is! We came down last night for the seafood night and was not dissapointed. The food was outstanding and easily the best cocktail I've had! The only downfall was we only booked our table for an hour I can assure you next time we will be staying longer. The whole atmosphere was 10/10 . Thank you thirsty elephant for a great evening xxxxx

Went for the Rock & Scallop menu, it didn’t disappoint. The Sharing Platter for 2 was really tasty, the staff were efficient and friendly. We ordered at the bar and the food came very quickly, definitely would go back for more food

First time here and it won’t be the last! Great idea of a takeover by the rock and scallop. Food was fantastic, staff were brilliant and the beer and wine really complimented the food well.

We attended the pop up Rock and Scallop evening. The food was delicious! Drinks and service at TTE are always outstanding! Highly recommend!

Absolutely stunning meal for a birthday date night. A lovely upbeat welcome from Libby and food served by Becky, both girls checking on drinks and how food was. We had the Rock and Scallop sharing platter which was unreal, so so tasty and brilliant portions size for cost. Back for more next weekend👏🏼🥳

Myself and my friend visited for the vegan event. My table was booked from 4.30-6.30pm. I was told the food could not be ordered until 5pm or after as menus giving out at 5pm for the event.Not sure why people had to order at 5pm. Anyway by the time the food came to the table it was gone 5.30pm. So it left us an hour to enjoy the food and drinks. We managed to finish the food but the next people were coming over to us for their booking at 6.30pm. We had to move off our table and carry our drinks to the top of the cafe which was packed out and so busy there was no where to sit. Which was a shame as we wanted to stay. There were no check backs on our food and we didn’t see anyone except when the food was plonked down. The manager was very nice serving us drinks at the bar and had a great personality an asset to the business.Great atmosphere but all felt so rushed and way too many people in such a small place. The food was lovely but i was very sick when i returned home i’m not sure this was the food but i was unwell all night vomiting . Maybe the food was too rich . I wouldn’t return unless more time was given at the table as I don’t like being on a time clock It would of been better organised if I had been notified before that the food could not be ordered until after 5pm. I probably wouldn’t have bothered booking the table Lovely venue and great atmosphere just too busy and too rushed and nowhere to sit after we had to move off our table which was a shame .

Nice quaint place but £10.50 !!!!! for a glass of very average tasting glass of wine is crazy, certainly need a reality check

Without doubt the service and food are excellent here. However, we have always had to wait considerable amount of time for a table as they do not take bookings. We arrived 10 minutes after opening time on my birthday and still had to wait 30 minutes for a table. The wait is difficult if you have a dog. We might consider visiting again but not for special occasions - to travel from Cardiff only to spend most of the time standing and waiting.

We decided last minute to try Thirsty Elephant after many recommendations and we were not disappointed. The food was spot on, but what stood out for me the most was just how friendly and welcoming all the staff were. We will be returning very soon. Thank you ☺️ P.s. loved the music choices 🙌😅

We love coming here for brekkie, but decided to try the vegan mexican night. We had 5.30pm booking. The restaurant was so busy, great atmosphere and decor as always. There wasn't a huge choice but enough and all sounded delic. I had the non beefy tacos and American fries. Both were amazing and it was loads to be fair. Love this place, and would definitely recommend. Well done guys, amazing job!

Booked a table for Sunday BH weekend. Service, food and atmosphere great as usual. There were 2 staff, they worked extremely hard , keeping the drinks flowing and the queue down. They were very polite and helpful.

Lovely but quieter evening there this time, but probably needed after the Xmas excess. The singer Oli Sanchez was fantastic and played a great set albeit to a quieter crowd. The three girls working were professional, friendly and smiling as always.

My wife & I ate here before going Christmas shopping. We both chose the full English Breakfast. The food was delicious & a little "special" for a cooked breakfast. The service was quick & the atmosphere was vibrant, due to the place being almost full. Great place, great food.

The band was dreadful 4 people mixed sexes going into one toilet together doing drugs continually, they looked like 16-17 yr olds , the food was dreadful , This place had really gone down hill Will never return and this was the opinion of our entire party , felt like a sixth form end of year party full of kids

This cafe is wonderful, we went for brunch and it has everything you could think of for a perfect brunch. Lovely vibe, friendly staff, amazing food, delicious coffee. I would go out of my way to visit this cafe again, 100% recommend!

Went at the weekend in the evening for one of the kitchen takeovers. Food was excellent. We sat opposite the bar and the team were all fantastic. Will be coming back

Didn't try food just drink. The cocktails were fine. But the atmosphere.... The table were dirty. A lot of cobweb and dust everywhere. The place needs a proper cleaning.

Went with my son who is a vegetarian 🥑 he loved the mini hash browns and I asked for a poached egg with the avocado 🥑 on toast. Super tasty thank you 🤩

We recieved a super friendly welcome, as a party of 6 we knew it would be a big ask to get us seated but it wasn't a problem for the staff at all, they asked to wait (literally 10mins) while a few people finished and the tables were cleared away. The whole atmosphere is just warm and inviting and everyone seemed to be enjoying! The coffee is absolutely delicious- the best around! We tried a few things on the menu, the breakfast was great and the breakfast bap was delicious and the little hash brown bites were super tasty! Overall a lovely little place, good food, good coffee, friendly staff and reasonable prices!!!

We had a great night, the food from Ych A Fi, was really tasty and we will definitely look out for them when they visit as a guest kitchen again. The service as always was excellent, great atmosphere for a cheeky Thursday night out. See you soon!

attended the STRAIGHT OUT OF CANTON sitting, if it wasn’t for the onion bhaji taste on the chicken burger I’d never would have associated it as a Punjabi Bbq offering, Not sure how £5 for a little bit of dry rice nor £5 for coleslaw or the £5 for 8 baby new potatoes was acceptable. It felt like nothing compared to what they advertise on their INSTAGRAM, and just felt completely let down, thirsty elephant as a bar, service was phenomenal , but queuing for ages to order a drink when you’re inside a restaurant already eating seems very inconvenient as you leave your food to go. Surely a QR code ordering system is better! The people queuing and knocking the table we sat at by the toilet wasn’t the best atmosphere, not having to stare into the toilets when people come in and out. Not sure I’ll return

Supported the thirsty elephant from day dot and it’s great to see it doing so well but you just cant get a table anymore. Tried to get a table for brunch today and there’s no room at the inn again. They need to sort out a booking system for daytime. I’ve now reached the stage where I won’t drop in for a sit down anymore. The place seems to have a very healthy instagram clientele, taking photos of their food and lattes. Anyway, went to ground control, which is now my go to. Sadly they don’t do coffee but I can at least go there knowing that I’ll be able to get a table

Beautiful. Simply beautiful, from the excellent staff being charming and accommodating. The wonderful decor of the cafe and good vibes and the simply delicious food thoughtfully prepared and very good value considering the cost. A must visit for anyone in the area!

They really know what they’re doing when it comes to coffee. I mean it’s really good, tasty and silky. They have an amazing La Marzocco machine producing the goods and they use Clifton Coffee. If the pancakes were as good as the coffee things would be amazing, however they’re just ok. Great atmosphere and lovely staff.

We had a great night. Was really busy, but the staff were brilliant and had it all under control, and still had big smiles on their faces. The food was great value, and tasted great. Cant wait for our next visit. Keep doing what you’re doing 😀

Best of the best! TTE quickly became a regular pit-stop on my daily dog walks due to having the friendliest staff, great coffees and an incredible food menu. The shop has a great atmosphere day and night, and the Food Trader Takeovers are an incredible way to try out local small businesses (a shout out to Ringos Dirty Diner, my current obsession *chefs kiss*).

The BEST cafe, bar, brunch and varied evening street food takeovers. The staff are all super friendly and make it a special community hub. Shoutout to Tasha of Ringo’s Dirty Diner takeover for the best burger I’ve ever eaten, and the most perfect chocolate mousse cake 🤤

Our favourite Ringos Dirty Diner was in this weekend and we had the most amazing burgers, cheesy waffle fries and popcorn chicken! Honestly have no idea how Tash makes the burgers taste so good! And she’s always got a smile on her face even when it’s super hectic! Service was excellent as always.

I love the Thirsty Elephant but last night was so disappointing. I booked 4 weeks in advance and asked for a specific table by the window. Sadly we were given a table right at the back that was dirty and had not been reserved for us ( bookings are chalked onto small board on the table). My friend was visiting from London and of all the nights....... Then we went to place an order for food at 8.30 and the kitchen had closed. No notification from Ringo's and so we left. We weren't the only table to go. The staff though are lovely and so welcoming and make one hell of a good Aperol Spritz! I know the food truck shutting wasn't their fault but we were really looking forward to our evening. We will be back but not when Ringo is in the house!

No reservations set up when we arrived, took 15 minutes to set up tables, which in turn made ordering food late. We can clearly see on the reservation boards you put out the next people would want the table at 6, we didn’t need reminding that there we people coming in. The delay in getting our table meant there was a delay in ordering food which lead to us having to rush our food. Very disappointed and found the place lacked strong management last night.

Visited as the food looked really good on social medium. My Latte was luke warm, avocado on toast was average and carrot cake was extremely dry. Wont be going back. Other eateries in area better food

Great setting. Checking in, ordering food, drinks and paying bills at the same point resulted in long queues and time away from friends. Think table service would be better.

We went in the evening and so it was street food which on Friday 10th May was South Indian and personally I wasn't impressed with the food.....BUT the cocktails were amazing and it was a lovely place to visit while on holiday.

Staff were lovely and working very hard behind the bar. The cocktails were lovely and so was the food.

Visited on Saturday for Breakfast/Brunch with some friends after following on social media for ages. Luckily we got in just before the long queue formed, there was a bit of a wait for food but it was honestly worth waiting for. We all opted for the breakfast and it did not disappoint (apart from the super salty spinach not sure what that bit was about) The coffee was amazing, would highly recommend, worth a visit :)
