Very friendly staff and nice food and good service. Myself self and family always support our local.And it's very sad because of the Royals cafe is last day open today and the Royals cafe is closes for good.

The staff here are very friendly and patient which I really appreciate as an anxious person. They made me feel welcome. Food options were really good and with vegetarian options too! It did feel a bit noisy at times and the person I was with's coffee looked a bit funky. Prices were amazing for what you get.

Overlooked by me for many years. What a find. A full on proper cafe. With Air-Con. Fast & friendly service.Well cooked meals, grest choice and value. On my repeat list

Nine of us visited Cafe Royle Pontypridd today for both morning refreshments & lunch. The service we received was excellent for both visits. Our food & drinks were served quickly & were excellent value for money. Staff were very courteous. We will return, thank you so much 😊

Today 18th. March I went into Cafe Royale with my daughter in law. At the moment she can’t eat a main meal so we asked if they had soup, but they didn’t. The manager then went and spoke to Jopan the chef who then went to the trouble of making cream of veg. Soup with extra cream in it especially for her, and she said it was delicious. I just want to say a great big thank you to the staff and especially Jopan. I’m sure there aren’t many cafes that would go out of their way to accommodate a customer. Well done Cafe Royale. X

Rustic and old style cafe. Although the prices were a little non competitive. By that I mean alot for what it was. But nice scran...probably won't make a habit of going due to the price.

It's my favourite cafe in pontypridd. The food is typical cafe food. Options for vegetarians very limited, even more so for vegans. The staff are amazing. Probably the best coffee in ponty, imo. The knickerbockerglories are sublime, affogato makes a nice change if you don't fancy more traditional desserts.

I haven't been in the Cafe Royal fir years and it has still retained its historical decor that has always resembled elegance and class. The food was outstanding and staff were polite and helpful at all times. I'm so glad we popped in, it's well worth a visit 😀

Back to the old school, had the corned beef pie, chips and gravy, teleported me back to my childhood I was happy sitting there loving every bite of my food and forgetting about my problems for a bit. Lovey food and atmosphere. I'm a regular now.

Never a bad day in here,service is bang on and food with such a variety, but can't get past breakfast. The eggs are always spot on , and really good value. We'll done to everyone who works here.

Popped in for lunch, while working in the area. Had the pie dinner. It was delicious, great value for money and a friendly and quick service.

Love corned beef pie, peas chips and gravy, although the breakfast could have done with some black pudding and hash browns instead ot roast potato.

Great place to meet relations. Nice warm, homely place, good food, clean toilets. Tried the steak pie, roast and veg with gravy - was delicious! Would go back.

Food was lovely I there perfection on a plate

Me and my mum has a small breakfast which there was only 3 small mushrooms and for some reason we had chips and a roast potatoe with it which thats not meant to be on the breakfast so the menu said plus we asked for no tomatoes just beans well I had beans but they make a mistake with my mum's they put tomatoes instead of beans.I wouldn't go here again not even for a second chance

What a find, can’t believe it’s been there all these years and not used it before. Been there three times this week tried breakfast dinner and a baguette. All absolutely lovely. Staff warm and welcoming felt quite at home. We will definitely be back.

Great little café situated 2 minutes from the magnificent railway station at Pontypridd. Varied menu, lovely staff, food served piping hot, delicious! An easy five stars from us, keep up the good work :) xx

Lovely food, very attentive staff, great prices

Visited the cafe today, had a lovely meal. There was nothing on the dessert list that I could eat due to allergies. The manager asked the chef to make me a special trifle. Had to wait some time before it was ready but we’ll worth the wait. While we waited we were given free teas and coffees. I don’t know anywhere else that do this got a customer. I can’t praise them enough.

We only popped in for ice creams to take out as we had our dog with us, however the staff made us very welcome and said that next time we were in Pontypridd and fancied a meal, we could bring our little dog in, which was very nice to know. By the way, the ice creams were delicious and reasonably priced.

Lovely cafe has a large sitting area serves lovely food at very reasonable prices ,just good old fashion meals cooked dinners and lovely dessert. Knickerbocker glory gives me fond memories .😊

What a lovely place, I stopped in for a cuppa and ended up having a toasted teacake. The décor is very nice without being pretentious, and very comfortable. The staff were lovely and friendly and we had a nice chat about their roast dinners, now I've only given the cafe 4 stars because I didn't get to try their food, so that fifth star is reserved for next time 😃

This is a very friendly cafe. The food is wholesome and delicious. They serve a roast dinner to a cooked breakfast. The ideal place to have a coffee on a Saturday and a spot for f lunch.

I always pop in for one of their delicious cakes. Either a custard Danish or the the toffifee tart, sometimes both!

We had planned on spending the entire day in Pontypridd to make the most of shopping local and the beautiful park. Before starting our shopping we decided to have a full cooked breakfast. The breakfasts were huge and outstandingly tasty. The restaurant had been freshly cleaned and you couldn't have met a nicer team of staff. Will be returning when we can.

My cousin and myself recently had a lovely meal at this Cafe. I have been coming here for years and always enjoy good food with friendly service from Marco and his team. I am sorry we wont be able to visit for a while as we have to think about our health problems but we will be back soon we hope . Thank you Marco and team . Pat and Babs.

Personnel vraiment génial et accueil chaleureux mais pour info : j'ai commandé un plat particulier, lapin à la galloise. La serveuse m'a servi une tartine chaude au fromage. Je n'ai rien dit car je suis nulle en anglais mais je suis surprise, c'était délicieux. La prochaine fois je commanderai le lapin de nouveau.

We visited here for a breakfast which was amazing. The portion size was good and the price was reasonable. The cafe offers a great menu consisting of snacks and main meals. The staff were really helpful and the cafe really clean.

Have been before.Tried the lasagne for the first time and I really enjoyed it,the food is served instantly my mother had the famous pie and really enjoyed it,we saw a family with a lovely little dog so its nice all are welcome,you can tell this cafe has a lot of regulars and is very popular.

Really pleased we could have a meal so late in the afternoon.

We have been dining at cafe royale for quite some time, and always greeted with a smile & a hello, if os or millie are in they always find the time to chat for a minute or so. The food is always fresh, cooked well the girls who take our order and bring our food n drink are so kind, polite as well as professional thaks guys for looking after us. Whether it's a quick snack like a toasted tea bun and a cuppa, a nice slice of cake or a full meal everything is tasty and well presented. The staff are all polite and helpful. Service can be a little slow on very busy days but all in all it's well worth the wait. My wife and I have tried a variety of food the few times we have called in and have been very pleased with everything. The menu is good with lovely choices. The toilet facilities are clean and tidy however for new comers "The Gents" is difficult to find being hidden behind a partition so you need to ask directions. The ladies is well signed and much easier to find. This Cafe is recommended.

Came across this place, after parkrun, on an off chance! We were bored of big chain coffee places, and needed somewhere dog friendly. This was the perfect spot. Food was delicious and coffees were generous. Will definitely be returning!

What a find. Lunch to suit everyone. Delicious Home made food, fresh veg, lovely selection of salad. The staff were really friendly and I was able to ‘mix and match’ what I wanted. The prices were very good.

Brilliant cafe with amazing all day breakfasts

Been here a few times in the past for a full English breakfast. Prices are steep compared to other local cafes. Food is alright, not the greatest tasting but it'll do as it's close to the court. Toilets are accessible and the staff are understandable meaning they will swap beans for a sausage or a tomato for a couple pieces of bacon. They let the homeless people use the toilets and give them hot drinks. I saw one in there speaking to the staff by the kitchen door. I could tell they were homeless as when they passed me the smell that breezed my way was stomach wrenching. It put me off my breakfast and I ended up leaving one of the pieces of bacon I had swapped for a tomato!

Always have lunch here when in ponty, veggie options are great, staff are so friendly and always willing to accommodate my picky eater 😅

Long standing traditional café with generous fry-up breakfasts served all day (vegetarian option available), very friendly staff, decent environment too, good prices but cold drinks are quite expensive. Good disabled access too. Will definitely be returning!
