The best restaurants in Wales

My family and I usually go to Rest Bay Café for breakfast, but we had heard great things about this café and decided to give it a try. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the breakfast—no complaints there! However, we did notice a few issues. First, the HP brown sauce wasn’t genuine HP; it had been refilled with another brand. While this might seem minor, I don’t agree with this practice. If someone had an allergy or needed to check the ingredients, they wouldn’t know what they were consuming. We only realised this because they happened to be refilling it during our visit. Our table was also not as clean as we would have expected, with crumbs still in the corners. It gave the impression that the cleaning could be more thorough. Additionally, there were no prices on the menu, and the prices displayed on the wall were outdated. Small sheets of paper informed customers that prices had increased, but they didn’t specify the new amounts. I feel this is poor customer service and quite misleading, as customers should know exactly what they’re being charged. Overall, the food was great, but I believe the café could improve its cleanliness and transparency to enhance the customer experience.

Popped here and oh what a lovely place. Very pleasant staff and very good food and coffee. Highly recommended if you visit this way

Popped in as soon as it opened as in need of a drink (car in garage)non alcohol but then realised I didn't have any cash on me. The lovely land lady offered squash with no charge. Will definitely be returning for a drink and joining in with the quiz on a wednesday as I want to see it filled with people and a lovely atmosphere

I go here in a regular basis. The food is amazing with very generous portions and better pricing than most other places. They have the best coleslaw ever

We recently fined in this place, the food was delicious the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The dining area was very clean and spacious.. I would have been nice to have had some quiet background Indian music playing. It was a pleasurable experience.

I saved this as my post mountain climbing treat.. and boy it was worth it!!! The scoops are huge and the flavours of ice cream are incredible!! Really well done on that. Brilliant little ice cream shop

Came across this cafe by chance. Absolutely banging breakfast! 10/10. I had a full veggie breakfast and porridge (I was hungry!) — both were very good. Solid coffee too. Nice atmosphere.

Well.. firstly they tried to take my sisters drink away when she had some wine left When she complained they said there wad next to nothing in her glass so gave her a thimbleful of wine.. We then tried to order food.. they claim food can be ordered to 9.pm.. we tried to order at 8.30. For our grandchildren. We were told ..no As much as this place is great.. the customer service is bad

One of the best Indian takeaways. We get a takeaway from here a few times a month and the food is always amazing! Great portion sizes too, we tend to have lots of leftovers. Super friendly staff and overall 10/10 experience

Best toasted sandwich we have ever had. Very friendly and the sambo was delicious. Cannot be beaten. Best wishes C,G&🐶

Amazing selection of cakes and hot food with helpful staff, I managed to sit inside and there was limited seating outside. Will stop here again when I'm next in he area.

Long standing booking to celebrate my Birthday tomorrow.....they asked whether it was a special occasion and my sister who was booking for me said it was! Really disappointed to find out by chance tonight that they are closed until later in the month!! Why did you not have the courtesy to let us know as you had our contact details? VERY POOR SHOW.

Friendly and welcoming sports bar in the town centre. Great atmosphere for the football, especially Wrexham matches. Highly recommended

This is truly a hidden gem and we’re so happy we found it. The pizza is absolutely delicious, easily a 10/10! The two guys working were so lovely. Highly recommend, and we will certainly be back next time we are on Anglesey!!!!
