Station 86 in Swansea

Came across this cafe by chance. Absolutely banging breakfast! 10/10. I had a full veggie breakfast and porridge (I was hungry!) — both were very good. Solid coffee too. Nice atmosphere.

The cafe was heaving when we visited for breakfast on a Saturday morning - only just got a table. We hoped that was a good sign and indeed it was. Despite being so busy service was friendly and attentive. The menu offers a great choice from basics to more exotic dishes. Highly recommend the red passenger (which lasted me through to dinner time). Great coffee too and the cafe was beautifully decorated for Halloween. Feels like a place that really cares. Shame we live 200 miles away!

My mum and I visited for breakfast, it was my first visit. The atmosphere is lovely, very cosy and it was busy when we arrived we had the last empty table. One staff member was very quick to clear the table for us, staff were very friendly. Only critic was there was a bit of a long wait for our drinks but also an even longer wait for food, we waited around 50 mins. Understand that it was busy but there was no prewarning of a wait for food, they only did this to new customers as we were finishing. Food was lovely, but not so special to justify the wait unfortunately.

Simple the best food around. The Hash is amazing and the Magic Mushrooms on toast are delicious. Drinks great also. Staff are so friendly too.

Exceptional food, lovely atmosphere, fantastic service, and amazing coffee. We had the full breakfast and waffles. A real surprise find, and we'll be back.

Great food, brilliant service and lovely staff. Been liking posts on instagram for months as food always looks well presented, today was my first visit. We ordered the brunch burger, which was looked impressive when it arrived, but also really delivered on taste. So good. The size of the meal was the main challenge, very generous portion to set you up for the rest of the day. Looking forward to our next visit.

I got to say since my last review this place has seriously gone downhill. i think it’s under new management and the place is no where near as good. We waited over 30 minutes for our food and was not that warm. i said last time this was the best breakfast but would not return. shame as this place was so nice.

Deco is really nice and perfect for autumn, the coffee here tastes really good. We visited today, staff were really nice, but they could also do with smiling a little more as maybe a off day but they did not look happy to be there. We ordered different menu items, the rosti I believe that’s what it was called was crispy but also extremely hard. Both meals were quite greasy again it may have been a one off as this was our second visit and the first went really well, we had coffee and cake on that visit. Would highly recommend for a nice sit down coffee and cake.

The full English breakfast bagel was a delightful twist on a classic. The bagel was perfectly toasted, and the combination of crispy bacon, juicy sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs, and melted cheese was a satisfying medley of flavors. The addition of grilled tomatoes and a touch of tangy HP sauce elevated the experience even further. It was a hearty and delicious breakfast option that left me fully satisfied.

Great food at a reasonable price! All five of us had a great breakfast here. Coffee is good too. Gets busy but worth waiting for a table.

i have got to say this is by far the best breakfast i have ever eaten. it is a little bit more pricey than other places but 100% worth it. the full breakfast is filling and very tasty. would 100% return again.

Stopped in on a busy Saturday morning, sat us as soon as a table became available, the breakfast is one of the best about! Nice relaxing place for me and my little man to chill. My little man slipped and hit his head and they couldn’t have been more accommodating making sure he’s okay. Top service! Highly recommend!

Station 86 is my most favourite place to go for breakfast and lunch! It's literally out of this world!! I love this place I bring all my mates to it as they have to experience it! The coffee is exceptional, the food is delicious, and the staff are so delightful & lovely especially Miriam who usually serves us and is always bubbly, smiling and really helpful!! I'd give it 10 stars if I could go try it you won't be disappointed! :)

Went here for breakfast and it was delicious, I had the magic mushrooms which were devine and my friend had the breakfast which he said was really good. Lovely staff too. A little on the pricy side but nice as a treat.

came here a year ago on a Saturday morning for breakfast.... it took an hour after ordering food to actually get served the food... Benefit of the doubt we gave it a try a year later on a Sunday. Only thing that had changed was we had to wait longer than an hour... food OK but not worth the wait...................

I have visited this place twice while on my holiday, and it’s amazing 👏👏👏. They serve delicious food a veeryyyyyy good coffee 😍 (coffee lovers-this is your place). Also, they have a good selection of cakes and cupcakes 😻. We had full English breakfast and veggie breakfast, which was so tasty and big portion too. Next day we ordered ‘green passenger bagel’ which was so delicious. You can tell that they care what they serve 🫶. Also, staff is very friendly and kind 🌸. I recommend this place for 100%.

We have visited twice and on both occasions have been met with welcoming smiles from staff. The small clean interior is pleasantly decorated and maybe a little rustic. The excellent coffee served is locally sourced from a company that roast and grind the beans Food is freshly prepared, dishes served include two poached eggs, with a potato rosti served on smashed avocado over cream cheese on sourdough toast dressed with a Sriracha sauce. Other dishes on the menu are excellent English breakfasts or simple dishes such as scrambled egg on toast. On the counter are a tempting selection of fresh cakes and brownies. We will definitely use again when in the area.

Gorgeous selection of top rate food. Having had a takeaway a few weeks ago from a theme night, I called today with my daughter and wasn’t disappointed. The Green Passenger was delicious and so was my daughters bacon & sausage sandwich. The festive drinks were equally as great. My gingerbread latte was like Christmas in a cup - it even had gingerbread shavings on top. Couldn’t resist bringing home some tasty treats from their delicious selection too. Will definitely be back there soon.

Oh my goodness if you get a chance to eat here, do, its amazing.the food is really healthy & absolutely great so tasty. It's a small place, but clean & service is good. Very friendly staff.

Loved to call in here either Saturday or Sunday mornings, disappointed when we called in a few weeks ago to find they no longer serve a cooked breakfast. Stayed to have a coffee and toast as we were polite to walk back out. But noticed a lot of people come in sat down then walk back out once they looked at the menu.......Bring back the breakfast it was lovely and one of the best in Swansea

Regularly visit Station 86 with friends. Food is always really good, recommend the veggie breakfast (despite not being one!) The cakes are always tasty too! They do the best oat latte perfect for a caffeine fix! Staff are really friendly and welcoming and the owner always says hello despite being busy in then kitchen! This place is always full so get in early if you want a seat!! Unlike other places that feel the need to play load club music the atmosphere is always chilled in Station 86. Recelty tried the new salad bar they have and that is great too really fresh ingredients! They only place to go for breakfast in Swansea! Top job Station 86!

My family and I have been going to station 86 since it first opened. The excellent food, warm atmosphere and friendly staff make the decision of where we will eat out a simple choice, every time. The Owner Jack, always pops his head out of the kitchen to say hi and ensures that everything in order. The night food/service is of a higher standard again and is one of the handful of top quality places to eat in Swansea. Highly reccomend.

Always pop in to Station 86 for a coffee and a bite to eat (easily the best coffee within 100 miles) but this time decided to try their new evening menu.

Big fan of Station 86. Have been a long standing regular for a long time now. Great coffee (the best around) and happy staff who are always very welcoming. A great pit stop for fuel on the way down to the Gower. Have tried their evening menus and it’s refreshing to see such great quality locally. 10/10

I have visited a few times for a drink and enjoyed the experience. I had an impromptu lunch this week. Yummy. It Was avocado on toast with feta. I asked for ham in addition. My mouth was watering and it hit the spot. A lovely place to hangout and chill.

Nipped in on our bikes, just perfect stop to sit outside and have a drink and snack. Friendly and spotless. Great find.

What a little gem! We had breakfast / brunch here on a Sunday morning. Fantastic menu; reasonable prices; delicious food and fabulous service. Absolutely rammed too - evidently the locals love it too. Best advice? Get there early 😊

Absolutely amazing meal here. Went with another couple we pre ordered our food. First we had aperitifs, then starters was Belly Pork, followed by most delicious fillet steak, and finished with sticky toffee pudding. Couldn’t fault the food in anyway thoroughly enjoyed would highly recommend, you can also bring your own wine .

I visit this place on a weekly basis. The staff are always friendly and the food is first class. You can really tell that all the ingredients are top quality and it really makes a difference. There are a few coffee shops locally but none have a patch on this place.

I can honestly say it was the best food I have had out in ages! All 4 of us had different meals. 2 vegetarian, 2 not. All were outstanding. Cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. It really looked as if they had taken great care to make every plate just perfect!

Good food and a nice welcome. Ordered the posh toast. Was really good but felt the dish was dry. A drop of syrup with the dish would be good.

Have been here for brunch a few times. The food is amazing always freshly cooked to order. It is a cosy little cafe and always busy. And the coffee is so good!! The girls are always friendly and welcoming.

A friend introduced me to this place and now it's become a firm favourite. The coffee is amazing and the choice of drinks is excellent. We had some wonderful cakes there today - highly recommended! Friendly service and lovely ambience !

Since we live locally, we thought we'd give Station 86 a try when it first opened. We called in at about 11.30am on a Saturday morning for breakfast but we were told that they had run out of food so only cake was available. We only wanted tea and toast and had I been the cafe owner I would have purchased a few emergency supplies from the local shop rather than turn customers away.

Had visited for brunch a couple of times which was excellent, but tried the Friday night, three course dinner recently. The food was on an equal footing with some of the best restaurants in Swansea and the whole experience was fantastic. Will certainly be repeating the experience.

Having relocated my home to Gowerton on the 1st of December, I first encountered Station 86, which is the only Cafe in the Village and it is a Gem !

It is a pity it is only open one night of the week a well balanced menu, well presented and friendly service

Passing through the village of Gowerton and came across this cafe. What a find. Even though we arrived just before closing we were made to feel so welcome and they were really accommodating - cakes sold out but no matter they were very happy to prepare a lovely tea and teacakes - quality by the way was exceptional. The member of staff who served us was fantastic - professional, polite, incredibly helpful - she will go far and this cafe is very lucky to have her. I think they also do bistro evenings - if only I lived nearer!

This gem in Gowerton is my favourite! There aren’t many cafes that promote healthy locally sourced dishes, the menu has a great wide varied choice!

I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to write this review, when I’ve been visiting station86 pretty much since it opened its doors.

Once you have visited once you will defiantly want to visit again and again!

Really nice coffee shop and know how to make a Cortardo. Nice to have a good coffee shop in the area. Will be going back.

Now and again you stumble on a cafe that ticks all the boxes. From the outside it does not look too impressive but go inside and you get a totally different impression. The ladies working there were cheerful and welcoming without being over the top. The breakfast/brunch menu is very different. Basically you are offered scrambled egg on sourdough toast with a wide selection of side dishes. My wife had the eggs with smoked salmon and mashed avacado. She loved it. I had mine with bacon, sausage and beans. All good but the sausage was from the local; butcher. It makes a world of difference from the standard catering sausage. A couple of cups of coffee and the morning was made. This cafe is more expensive than most but you are paying for the quality

Small so getting a table could be hard, we were lucky they only had the brunch menu on but all the food everyone was having looked delicious. Coffee and cakes fantastic and service was great would like to see the full menu they do there will defiantly be returning

What a lovely little cafe. It's only small so beware. If you're lucky enough to get in, you're in for a treat. The coffee is excellent, who knew Welsh Coffee was a thing! If you're really lucky and visit on a Friday or a Saturday you absolutely have to experience a Gower Donut, these are world class donuts!! They have a brunch menu and around 12 it changes to a more comprehensive lunch menu. The food is excellent. Generous portions of delicious food whilst being served by happy and helpful staff. Can't fault this venue. Can't wait to go back.

I am not really a coffee shop type of person, but went here on the 14th. We had scrambled eggs and salmon on toast with a coffee. Simply fantastic. Very nicely done out and nice place to meet up with mates. Well done.

Attended a private surprise baby shower. What a lovely venue. The welcome we received was wonderful. Nothing was to much trouble. We had the coffee shop to ourselves which was great. The food (afternoon tea) was so fresh and the variety and quality of food very very good. The coffee was very good. A very clean, warm and comfortable place to eat.

What a fantastic new edition to Gowerton.

My new favourite cafe! Such a lovely, cosy, welcoming atmosphere and most importantly delicious and well presented food. Brunch was delicious - smoked salmon, flufffy scrambled egg and avocado on sourdough toast yum! My partner went for sausage, bacon and egg on sourdough and was equally impressed. I’m all for supporting local businesses and can highly recommend Station 86. Great to see that they are doing their bit to enforce and promote sustainability in business also. Cannot wait to return to try more of the menu!

Great food! Great coffee! Even the tap water tastes good! Always feel full of energy after some great food at the station. Plenty of vegan/vegetarian options and I’m sure I seen the chef cooking on a skateboard! Very impressed! Will be returning.

Me and my partner decided to try this place out after passing a few times as it had a real quirkiness about it! It did not disappoint!! The staff were really friendly and helpful and the menu (if a little limited) is really refreshing and interesting! It seems to be getting quite popular as it was almost full the time we left! Really impressed with the place and we will return.

Visited here with family and friends. Had a really warm welcome by all staff. Food was exceptional, good healthy choices. Recommend Turkey, Brie and cranberry sandwich on malted loaf was delicious. Never tasted such good locally sourced coffee. This is a new trendy cafe with lovely staff very welcoming. Also good vegan choices. Will most definitely return. Can't wait.
