The best restaurants in South Wales

Our usual "go to" place for an Italian meal is Café Chitta but it is very difficult to get through to book a table so my search led me to il giglio. It defenitely did not disappoint. My son and I had an excellent meal. The aranchini, pizza,Salmon got top marks and the Trimisu was among the best I have tasted. Will definitely visit again. Service was efficient and friendly and I was given good advice about the menu. What sightly spoilt the evening were a couple of kids creating quite a ruckus unchecked by their parents. One of them did apologise at the end of our meal.

Ordered a tuna and cheese panini which was inedible because they stuffed it so much with tuna mayo, it was so messy I couldn’t eat with hands. The cheese wasn’t melted and it was cold. When I asked nicely for a refund they made feel uncomfortable for asking so I ended up leaving the slop on the table and left. Will not recommend or eat here again.

We booked here after seeing the excellent reviews on Google and were not disappointed. The food and service was amazing particularly the Moroccan food! Moroccan tea was served to us on the house as we chose our meals and was also delicious! Don’t be put off from the decor as this is a special little gem and we will definitely be returning!

Food and service excellent. Could only give 3 for atmosphere because we were the first ones in there for lunch! The food combinations sound a bit weird... But we're actually really good and worked well!

Great customer service, they have gone through a menu change, but don't let it discourage you the food is still incredible, their Naga burger is very spicy though so be warned, if you want a challenge you should go for it, furthermore the quality of the food and flavours don't disappoint, will definitely be my go to place.

Not a terrible pizza place but considering the cowboy pizza said mixed peppers was layered with green peppers with no other peppers on there burnt bases on the one pizza was considerably more tasty for this reason even though both being the same flavour considering the prices to dough masters n several other places are alot tastier you also get more pizza i will say the cheese is the only thing good on this place

Absolutely excellent Sunday dinner and welcome from the staff to us and our dogs, would highly recommend this place, proper gravy roast potatoes and lots of extras

A fabulous brunch and such good value for the portion. Brilliant cup of tea too!

Wonderful night, Monikas service was exceptional. Also, thanks to Joel for the mini tour of the dry ageing fridge etc. Decided on a number of small plates with a few cocktails and beers. Recommend the roasted carrots and char sui pork. Will be back to try the steaks soon!

Visiting here has been in my list for ages. Great place, nice vibe with a nice mix of people. Food quality well exceeded my expectations… fantastic. We had the Haus Burger and Cajun Chicken wrap with fries, great quality, made and prepared with effort. Well worth a trip out 🍔 🏍️👍

Nice place. Called in for lunch on Wednesday. Quite quiet. Warnm and friendly welcome. Good food and reasonable prices. We will be back
