Had the most amazing sunday roast here on the 3rd nov. I chose the roast pork which came with roast potatoes yorkshire pudding red cabbage cauliflower broccoli green beans peas & an absolutely delicious gravy! All homemade with fresh ingredients beautifully cooked generous portions all served hot. The staff were friendly & helpful too. Would highly recommend & i will return on my next stay in Wales. Well done The Jolly Colliers

First time time having Sunday lunch today it was outstanding best I have ever had And plenty of it everything was cooked to perfection and the gravy was out of this world The most pleasant staff we had a lovely welcome upon arrival the atmosphere was great to will definitely be returning

Situated in the beautiful hills surrounding Clydach in Llanelli hill is Jolly Colliers. This hidden/not so hidden gem has a special place in the hearts of its locals, our family has been coming here for years. It has a restaurant side and a bar side. The owners are so welcoming, the staff emulate this in everything they do. The pub is a classic country pub with amazing pub food. Dogs and humans alike love this cozy place. After this place had been ruined in a fire, it has risen like a Phoenix from the ashes. We have our birthday meals here and will be back in the future. Thank you for having us Jolly Colliers.

Dined last night as a party of 6, even though it was busy the food was delicious. The belly pork was cooked to perfection. Service was also very good and a good selection of drinks. Not my 1st visit and definitely won't be my last!

Came here a couple of days ago. Lovely pub/restaurant. Staff were really friendly, which in turn made for a great atmosphere. We all ordered the Shin beef and guiness pie with mash potato ... which we all highly recommend, very good portion size too ... followed by a brownie with ice-cream and stick toffee pudding. Amazing food, thank you. We will definitely return when visiting again.

We love the jolly collier such a friendly and warming place. The staff and the food are amazing. The owners are just the loveliest of people. If your thinking of visiting there for some fine food just do it. 👍👌

The food was really, really nice and there's a pretty garden out back, friendly service and some cute dogs.

Don’t get me wrong the food was delicious but my experience was awful. Not only do you pay for the food but you pay for the catering and service. I called and asked for a table for two, little did I know I was going to be sat at the bar area. Now the bar area shouldn’t be an option for booking I think it should only be an option for walk ins. The music was terribly loud, people at the bar were very loud and kids were running around. At a bar that’s somewhat expected but when you’re wanting to have a meal with your pregnant wife i don’t want to be surrounded by shouting locals and running kids throwing things around. I felt like I wanted to eat and leave as soon as I could. PLEASE ONLY LEAVE THE BAR FOR WALK INs so people have the option, and not dress us expecting a nice quiet meal. Felt like I wasted £65.

Probably the best Sunday roast you'll ever have! Absolutely delicious, big servings and friendly staff.

After a long walk they welcomed the family and dogs in, unfortunately we were too late for the roast, but it looked good.

Great experience, vibe and atmosphere matches the authentic Spanish dishes with flavoursome tasty food on the tapas night. Fab evening and will be going back. Packed on a Thursday and everyone happy says it all.

I have heard about this place for the past few years and I was finally able to get my chance to dine here. The food was beautiful , the presentation and the flavours are gorgeous. Very good service from the staff. Next on my list is to try their very popular Sunday roast. I went for the Thursday tapas night and I’ll be back very soon I hope. Definitely pay them a visit.

Lovely to have the Jolly Collier’s back open again! We visited last night and had a great meal - really tasty beef brisket croquettes and calamari to start, chicken pie and beef pie for main with gorgeous triple cooked chips, and a creamy biscoff cheesecake to finish off. Gorgeous! We also had a lovely glass of wine and good pint of Butty Bach. All at a reasonable price. We’ll be back!

Visited today for Sunday lunch, fantastic Sunday roast. Beef cooked to perfection, and plenty of it!! The best roast potatoes, with plenty of veg, gravy and a big Yorkshire pudding. Paté starter is delicious, comes with a chutney which is a game changer! I recommend this Sunday lunch to anybody!! Staff are all very efficient and very friendly. Thank you.

Excellent pub that's more like a restaurant inside as food seems to be the main priority. It was tapas night when we visited and the food was delicious. There's also a decent drinks selection with good wine by the glass. There's an extensive selection of bottled and keg beers but only one cask ale available but it was a very well kept Butty Bach. There's no car park but plenty of on-street parking nearby. 2024 update. Very happy to see that little has changed since they reopened following a fire. The Butty Bach has even gone down from £3.90 to £3.80 in the 11 months since our last visit! There can't be many pubs in the UK where that has happened!

At last the Jollies team are back! You have been so missed! Amazing, delicious and authentic Spanish tapas. Olives and bread get you started then a menu to die for … what to choose? We shared Prawns with chorizo and red pepper, some bang, bang cauliflower together with the soft spicy Korean influenced belly pork, and so, so many other delights. A full, happy atmospheric bar too! But behind the scenes it is the chief Jessica and the team who deliver the magic. Lovely evening can’t wait to indulge again. Sunday lunch next time😊

We love this place, it's been closed for months unfortunately due to a terrible fire. Good news now it's reopened, the owners are fantastic always make us feel welcome. The food is always really good, tasty and freshly cooked. The chunky chips are amazing yum,yum. We recommend this place to everyone. Can't wait for our next visit.

Had a lovely evening at The Jolly Colliers Inn! Service was amazing, so nice to see Claudio and Leon doing what they do best. Have visited Jolly Colliers on many occasions over the last few years as a couple, with friends and also as a family but today was our first time for Sunday lunch to celebrate my dads 80th birthday. As always we received a warm welcome from Claudio and all the staff but was totally blown away by the quality and quantity of their Sunday lunch! I can now understand why it’s always sold out on a Sunday. My first but not the last and can honestly say it was as good as my own, the gravy is superb! Thank you Claudio and Jess, you really do deserve all the 5 star reviews!!!

Great meal from the starter through to the dessert. I am now in love with the chef who cooked my pie, peas, chips and gravy. I lived it. I have told my wife about this but she had the same meal and she says she has feelings for him too!

What a find this place is! We saw a review on instagram and decided to try out the Sunday lunch for ourselves. Very friendly pub from the minute you walk in with good menu choices. We decided to go for a 2 course lunch priced at £19.95. The beef was three very large slices of tender beef, roast potatoes, roast carrot and a Yorkshire pudding - the extra vegetables - red cabbage, carrot and swede mash, peas, green beans, and broccoli come separately with a pot of tasty thick gravy each. It was delicious. We had saved some room for a dessert and luckily for me, my favourite sticky toffee pudding and cream was an option on the menu. Lets just say there wasn’t much conversation between us as my partner tucked into his choice of chocolate brownie. There aren’t many places that you can go to and spend under £45 with drinks on such tasty food. Cant recommend this gem highly enough, in the words of Arnie, I’ll be back!!

The team were very busy but made time to make us feel welcome, our drinks order was taken and arrived promptly. We were informed they’d sold all the chicken, but the other choices on the menu sounded good, the food took hardly anytime to be served, it looked great, smelled amazing and tasted delicious. The atmosphere was of a friendly, local pub and we really enjoyed our visit, would definitely recommend it!

Fantastic village pub, which is always very busy. Food is phenomenonal. I had the roast pork, which I could confidently say was one of the best I have ever had. Owner and staff were very friendly and stopped by our table frequently for a bit of a laugh.

Visited the Jolly Collier during a weeks visit to Wales and a search via trip advisor for somewhere nice to eat with the family. I now know why it is rated 2 of 71 places to eat in Abergavenny. As soon as we walked in we were made to feel welcome. The food (Mexican burger and Big Daddy burger) were absolutely delicious and the bonus pot of chilli was a nice touch. The fact that our little one could eat free (Fridays between 5-6:30) was also a nice surprise. Big thanks to Charlie, Claudio and team for a lovely evening with delicious food.

We had a family lunch ( planned for 11 people) to celebrate my wife’s birthday - everything worked out extremely well, we ordered our food in advance and everything was perfect. I knew the food was wonderful here, having had Sunday lunch a few times which was always excellent. My husband suggested we try the Tapas one Thursday night, so I went along without expectations as I wasn't sure what to expect from the menu having only eaten Tapas a couple of times before. I can happily say it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten, the food was outstanding, more so because it was different to the usual food I eat. The belly pork and patatas bravas were particular favourites. It was such a treat to have so many different things to eat, if anyone is wondering whether or not to try it - the answer is yes, you should!

Excellent Sunday lunch. Generous portions of beef. The gravy is amazing! I live in Oxfordshire where a Sunday roast is £18 plus and nowhere near as good as this a much lower price. Great family-friendly pub. Will go again. I didn't have the cheesecake, but the rest of my family did. They said it was the best they've ever had.

An absolute gem. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, the food was fantastic and other punters were friendly. The chef even cooked sausages for all the dogs in the pub. If you’re on foot then persevere; it is totally worth the trek up the hill!

Cute pub, slightly off the beaten track but well worth the visit. We were lucky to get a table at short notice but the restaurant was quite small, so probably advisable to book ahead as room was full by the time we left! Good food, steak pie and the lovely chips were our highlight and they had some great premium beers on tap at very reasonable prices. The pub felt very cosy, we were by a roaring wood fire and it was decorated beautifully for Christmas!

Went there for the tapas having read some great reviews. Not in the least disappointed. The pork belly with membrillo sauce was delicious. Lovely warm bread too. Great sized portions and very attentive staff. We will be back to sample one of their pies next.

Lovely little restaurant, very cosy, well decorated. A range of delicious cocktails. Fpod very tasty. I think because it was a busy Saturday evening the food wasn't as good as I was expecting, based on reviews. The chips were soggy and the steak was too thin to be cooked anything other than well done. Everything else was wonderful.
