Food was great and really good Mocktails too! Dave was fantastic. He called to confirm our booking and respond to a special request I had made in relation to a friends birthday. Thank you all for such good service and a delicious meal.

Great food, atmosphere and beer, would come again!

The restaurant was new to me, arrived and was warmly greeted, all staff helpful throughout visit. The choice of food catered for everyone and the selected dishes all flavoursome and well cooked, the Beef Stifado is to die for, meat melted in mouth. If you have room after the well portioned main dished for a dessert, I recommend the Orange Pie and ice cream, again generously proportioned and enough for 2. Excellent, evening and a worth every penny. Decent and flavoursome food, well within a middle range budget.

We ordered feta cheese pastries, courgette croquettes, and hummus to start, all were delicious and freshly prepared. They were dainty enough to not fill you up too much while being generous enough to enjoy sharing. The warm, fresh bread was great. For mains we had a grill platter and moussaka, the meats were succulent and tender and the moussaka was wonderfully soft. Both came with fried potatoes and salad, all crisp and fresh. The mains were very reasonably priced and decent portions. To finish we had the baklava, which looked homemade and was very good. I also tried a cocktail which was lovely and went well with the food. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and helpful. Service prompt and efficient. All in all, great food and great service. Thank you!

My wife and I went here to celebrate her birthday. Although it was busy, the quality of the food was excellent and really tasty! The service was good and we left wanting to come back and try out the full menu (so much choice). Thanks for a great evening!

Delicious freshly cooked food, I recommend the Greek sausages.Meaty and hearty with a delicious flavour. Table service was excellent and the staff welcoming and accommodating. The lunch menu is very good value as are the drinks. Lovely experience will be visiting again.

A fantastic experience. I've been to Greece a few times and this restaurant was definitely on Par. I loved the Greek music in the background and the staff were very accommodating. My only mark down was that I had to ask for water glasses but it's insignificant to how great the experience was. Thank you!

Went there on new year's eve and it was lovely. Great food, service and atmosphere. Very reasonable prices and good sized portions. Made a nice change from our usual indian cuisine.

Fantastic food with both retsina snd Greek wine. A gem in Bridgend town centre. Food was well prepared and good portion size. Service was very good, welcoming, friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant.

First visit to Tholos last night and it did not disappoint. We stuck with a load of meze all of which was delicious. Particular mentions go the the saginaki and calamari. Service was very quick and friendly. My only negative would be the slightly repetitive xmas music and the venue in general is a little too bright. Will definitely be returning to sample some of the mains. Great to see a new place doing so well.

I never cease to be amazed by how good this restaurant is. An asset to Bridgend. Delicious every time.

Never had Greek food before and Tholos did not disappoint! Absolutely outstanding food. 9 of us went so a variety was ordered and everyone said how gorgeous the food was. Service was spot on, our lovely waiter couldn't do enough for us. We didn't have to wait long for anything. Atmosphere was lovely and everything was very clean. The only downfall was the toilet. 2 toilets signed 1 man 1 woman but shared sinks in a small space. When I went in a man was coming out of the ladies cubical so going in after him I was relived to see a disinfected spray on the side to use because there was clear splash marks on the seat. Personally I'm not comfortable sharing toilet facilities outside of my own home, but one of our friends mentioned that apparently it's actually they way it is in Greece in alot of places? Other than that i would say highly recommend, we will definitely be back!

We tried this restaurant for a celebratory meal. The food was an attempt to be Greek but there was a lack of spices. We had a mixed platter for two which had 2 kebabs 2 sausage and 1 burger, salad and chips. Don't expect good Greek food. We paid £10 deposit a head on booking for 9 of us. On the night only 6 could attend and we lost £30 ! Needless to say we didn't leave a tip.

Really nice meal and sharing platter more than enough for two people. Left very full!

What a hidden gem of a restaurant, this place really and truly ticked all the boxes - fabulous!

What a superb evening. Great food, service and atmosphere. We came here first when it first opened and were disappointed by the lack of real Greek options. Fast forward to yesterday and we couldn’t be happier with the changes made, both the food and music gave us back the little bit of Greece we were hoping for.

Wonderful welcome. Friendly staff, the service was fast. Efficient and we were accommodated in every aspect. Great experience and stunning food, really delicious! Huge variety and reasonable prices. We had just returned from a Greek holiday, so the visit to Thorpe restaurant was a prolonged ‘holiday’ feeling. I have been beck since and highly recommend a visit!

Never been to a Greek Restaurant before and was ver impressed. The food was excellent. Customer Service excellent. She gave a taste of two of their Greek wines which have never had in other establishments. Would definitely recommend the Restaurant and go there again.

I loved this place, the staff, the atmosphere and the wonderful decor truly reached my heart. I had the wonderful pleasure to eat here because of a work raffle and loved every minute, would recommend.

First time for Greek food, the staff were absolutely fantastic! The wine selection was second to none, the waitress provided a sample of each of the selection of whites on offer. The food was sublime, service was second to none! S as huge thanks to “Dave” who was funny and made our anniversary special. Will definitely come back!

Called 5 hours ahead of table, explaining we had covid and asked if we could postpone/cancel/takeaway . Said they would check and call back, this never happened Chase them to get told they will be not be flexible and charge us £20.

Tholos is a very impressively decorated restaurant in the heart of Bridgend with a nice variety of Greek flavours and ambience. The 2 course lunch for £15 is great value, delicious and substantial. This is the third time we visited and have found it consistently good. The only 'oddity' might be the presentation of their delicious salad, as squeezing the dressing over the top looks a bit messy. This might be improved by serving the dressing on the side, though this is purely the presentation and the dressed salad is excellent. Tholos also specialise in Greek wines and we were offered a sample taster of three of their white wines, settling on the crisp Alfega Lefkos, from the Domaine Hatzimichalis vineyard which is great value white wine and distinctively Greek. The service was attentive, warm and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Absolutely excellent, can't fault anything. Will be back!

Absolutely delicious greek food — every dish was well-served and great value! The entrees were simply divine but I'll throw a special nod to the desserts and the mocktails — both insanely good! The orange pie and baklava are home made by the chefs (who are Greek! We asked haha) Delightful restaurant!

The food was good and the meat very well cooked, the waiter was very friendly and helpful! Maybe the air con could be a little less powerful as it was a bit chilly

Looking for a bite at lunchtime we found Tholos completely by chance, we love Greek, so we decided to try it, so glad we did. The food was incredible, a perfect taste of Greece. The staff were so friendly and helpful, advising us on the size of portions (very generous) as we were eating out with our children. The surroundings were lovely, and the food was out quickly, but we still felt at a relaxed pace. The meal was fabulous, we are so glad we decided to go in. If you are nearby, I 100% recommend a visit. We are returning this week to sample an evening meal whilst we are still on holiday. A wonderful place.

What a find!!! The reviews don’t even do this place enough justice. I ordered the mix grill for one person, which they also do for 2 people. It was huge and all the meat extremely flavoursome. They even put the pitta under all the meat to soak up all the juices at the end. All the food is freshly made on site and it really takes me back to my Greek holidays being here, Authentic being the feeling you get when dining at Tholos, right down to the Greek music being played in the background. I came here during a business stay over and will definitely return when I’m Bridgend. Exceptional service and food at a great price, what’s not to like. 👍

Tholos is always a great place for an amazing meal. We have been many times now and it has been great every single time. The atmosphere is really nice as well. Definitely recommend it.

The food was unbelievable, the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us, and as we were leaving the manager asked if we had enjoyed the greek cider with our food (it was outstanding) and handed us 2 bottles to take home.
