It has stunning food that is very fresh and yummy. Everybody should definetely try it. We enjoyed the breakfast very much and the main meals are delicious. The atmosphere can be a bit better tho.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. This was our 1st visit here after watching a recommendation on a social media, and we we're not disappointed, would definitely spread the word to friends and family. The food was fresh and presented well. Very roomy inside, with plush seating, nice traditional music playing in the background. If you order the Turkish tea, they refill it complimentary throughout your meal which is a lovely touch.

Stunning Turkish breakfast for two 👌

What a great breakfast, the food was excellent and so damn tasty, could not stop eating and the selection was unbelievable. If you up for trying something different to a full English then I highly recommend this place. The service was exceptional and so friendly and when they say bottomless tea they really mean it, as soon as our glass was empty it was refilled. I cannot recommend this place enough, get out of the ordinary English breakfast and have a turkish breakfast, try it and thank me later. Thanks to all the staff for their friendliness and service, we will be back!!!!!!

We stopped by for a pre show meal and as a birthday treat. Service was quick and friendly, however sometimes it did feel like our every move was being watched which felt a little uncomfortable. The mocktails we ordered were nice, the starters and complimentary bread were delicious too. Husband enjoyed his meal but the vegetarian kebab was disappointing and oily for the price. The seating in the restaurant felt very low- I felt like I needed a child’s booster seat 🤣

Very bad attitude go there at 12.30 with my 2 small children I couldn't even get in the door to be told no breakfast fully booked when it's rugby they couldn't care less about there regular customers today your busy tommrow you can't pay the bills be very careful being rude to regular customers just because your busy for one day will never ever go there again extremely bad management

went there for a quick. from living in the middle east for 26 years, trying countless Mediterranean restaurants, and visiting Istanbul more than a couple times. this restaurant is definitely up there!!1 great flavours, loads of complementary foods on the side. 100/10 cheese and dairy nibbles. will come back soon once i move to cardiff. top tier affordable cuisine offering 2 cuisines for 20 pounds and 3 for 22 on their lunch menu with a free drink (wish I could have got tea)

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious – everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The staff was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. They even offered complimentary coffee for my guest, which was a lovely touch. I highly recommend this place for both the tasty food and the amazing hospitality!

Group of eight, when food arrived one meal didn't turn up and another meal was wrong at extra cost drinks pricey free bread between 2 people but our table given three plus 10 percent service charge not optional wouldn't rush back to disappointing

Great service here great service. The management and staff came over every 5mins to see if everything was ok. Even offered our little baby a juice on the house would definitely come back

We had a lovely meal celebrating our friend’s 50th at The Sultan Turkish restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the customer care was super. They surprised the birthday boy with a bottle of wine to share and a cheesecake with a candle—a really nice touch!

It’s been a while since I felt like giving 5 out of 5 but this was worth it. A genuinely good restaurant with authentic food and friendly staff who were efficient and attentive but also prepared to stop and have a chat. We were given an unexpected ‘balon’ bread and cream cheese spread before our starters of baba ganoush and hummus which were tasty as you’d expect. However the surprise came with the mains; mixed shish kebab with the large chunks each of really tender and tasty lamb and an equally moist and tender chicken. I had the octopus; the three tentacles were nicely grilled, tasty and beautifully tender with a slight ‘bite’. Highly recommended.

Service was impecable and the food was amazing!

We went into the Sultan on Wednesday 2nd oct 24. We could not choose which meal to have the staff guided us through the menu And could not of been more helpful. The two starters where amazing and as for the mains absolutely mouthwatering by far the best Turkish experience we ever had we would highly recommend it everyone In fact it was so good we are going back again on Friday for are wedding anniversary. If we didn’t live in Devon I think it would a regular place to eat but it’s little to far too travel.

I honestly could not fault it. Excellent service. Very good food. But the real deal clincher was the value. 2 courses plus a glass of wine for £21 is simply a steal (lunch), especially when you consider the quality and quantity of the food you get. Forget the rest of the places in Cardiff Bay - this is where you should dine. Generous with added freebies too like bread and water. 10/10 - its not michelin standard. But at its price point its about the best there is in my opinion.

We enjoyed a selection of Turkish dishes, starting with delicious appetisers like Baba-Ganoush and Hummus with freshly baked bread, which were the perfect start. For mains, the Pistachio lamb chops and Sarma beityi were both outstanding. The highlight was the Kunafa dessert with Ice-cream, accompanied by a soothing cup of Turkish tea. The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Turkish cuisine!

We had the pleasure of having the Turkish sharing breakfast and it was devine. Service from Kay.K was extremely impressive and totally understand why this restaurant got restaurant of the year at this years Welsh Food Awards. Can't wait to return!

When we saw the reviews on google we had high expectations. The restaurant is very noisy but that can happen and is rarely a problem when the food is good. The Babaganoush was delicious as was the home made bread served with it. The hummus was meh. Nothing special, lacked spices and good olive oil. The two plates where small for their prices. The we took the 12h beef shortrib with extra mash and the pistachio lamb chops. Lamb chops where overcooked, dry and lacked flavors. The mash it was served with was dry and flavorless, the asparagus where really good but it is not in season at all! The beef was tender but one part that was though and dry. That shows is was nit covered in liquid while braising and dried in the process. Same deal as above for the mash & asparagus. I took a bean salad that is supposed to be a main as a side. It was again underwhelming. All of our portions where small for the prices paid. The service was mediocre. The staff was nice. No one had our table assigned, it was everytime someone different which create chaos, when came the moment of dessert we got forgotten by everyone and had to wave staff for the bill and wavw again to be able to pay.

Come for the Turkish breakfast for 2 people. Huge delicious spread at a great price. Everything was well prepared, tasty, and served with friendliness and enthusiasm.

Superb. Our second visit and we all feel this has to be one of the best restaurants in Cardiff. The service, family-run, was outstanding, very friendly, efficient, never kept waiting, tons of staff on hand. We had 4 starters, 3 mains and a dessert and every one was a banger! The seafood, the kebabs, even the rice was a perfect complement. Nothing over or under seasoned, gorgeous barbecue flavours and zingy sauces. Babaganoush and octopus were particular highlights, but we’d like to try the whole menu. Very family friendly too!

Hands down my fave Turkish place in town, great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Love the concept of Turkish breakfast where you have an egg dish (omelette or menemen) and lots of side dishes including honey butter, molasses, tahini, variety of cheeses and many more. Served with unlimited Turkish tea and freshly baked bread. I was able to try an authentic Turkish breakfast in Istanbul couple of years ago and I’m so glad The Sultan serves this fab breakfast. Service is great the staff are always lovely and attentive. I suggest making a booking on weekends as it can get quite busy

Came with family for breakfast and was seated straight away. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The place is beautiful with great decor. The food arrived very quickly and was very nice especially the menemen. Was hoping there would be more meats with the full breakfast but everything they served was delicious. Definitely will be back when back in Cardiff. The location is great, there is a car park opposite and cardiff bay is 2 min walk.

My gosh I don't often get blown away by food but oh God my taste buds were made love to! From starter to main and a little treat the whole experience was top notch! We had one kid with us and even the kids meal was made with finesse! Wonderful find in Cardiff, great service from the staff who were knowledgeable about the menu. Compliments to the team. This place is to die for, had the ribeye and it cooked perfectly it took time to come out but that's usually a good thing . I could come here all the time but have to save the pennies. Next time we visit Cardiff I'm coming here. Great staff aswel

Went with friends during our trip to Cardiff bay area, amazing food and we enjoyed the breakfast here, Every item tastes soo delicious, we ordered Mediterranean breakfast, vegan breakfast with french toast and coffee along with Turkish chai which is on the house.

I had a wonderful experience, starting from we did not have a reservation and they tried to help us and give us a table for 1.30 hrs, also it is halal food with no alcohol severing. For the interior it is chic and suitable for a date night, staff were friendly. The food was the best, for me it is one of the best Turkish restaurants I tried in UK, we tried lamb ribs tasty with sauces, ballon bread and steak 😍 also the top was baklava with ice cream 🍦 😋

Went for a traditional Turkish breakfast, food was excellent fresh and great quality ingredients. Unfortunately service let it down that’s why only 3 stars. We ordered a full breakfast and an additional main but we’re charged £5.80 for the 2 bread portions we had which is unusual in Turkish restaurants usually bread is included with the mains. Having to ask for things twice and waited 15 mins for our second portion of bread was a letdown. 10% service charge so I expected better service

Visited yesterday lunchtime with extended family. Food is the best I've tasted ..fresh and flavourful. Staff were very attentive and courteous...we'll be returning later this week to sample the breakfast menu!!!

This is a superb family-run Turkish restaurant. We ate here three nights in a row and sampled a variety of dishes, including lamb, seafood, and salads. All were excellent. The puffed bread and babaganoush provides an excellent way to start your meal. The warm, friendly, and attentive service only enhances the experience. Highly recommended!

All the food was great, presentation delicious, meats, salads, legendary staff, friendly, it was our friend's wedding anniversary, they brought a surprise cake.
