Simply delicious. Vivo Amigo Cardiff is a real find! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the delicious food. Seriously, I couldn't decide what to order – everything sounded amazing! The prices were fair, so we need to visit again, multiple times to try it all. Their house cocktails are top-notch! Unfortunately they did forget a side dish, but honestly, the main portions were so generous, we hardly missed it. The staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. I'd definitely recommend Vivo Amigo to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in Cardiff! 5 stars all around.

Food was good, we had a few mixed dishes that came quickly enough. Atmosphere was busy and loud at times but we would come again

Came here to try something different as the reviews were all good. The staff were lovely the place itself nice, but the food was a let down. Curry with Mexican does not go well at all, everything was with curry or spice. Food very Rich and not great tasting , and the nann bread is shop Bought from a packet . Ordered a crème boulle for desert, It was nothing like one. Very disappointing , glad we had the offer as I would be more gutted paying full price. And a bottle of SMALl cheep Spanish bear for £4.50😳wow. The pic is a crème brûlée , it was an ice cream cone with cream and jam in it. I think you either go to a curry or a Mexican restaurant, the both together idea I think is disappointing.

Lovely hidden gem, very tasty food and good service.

Cracking fusion food made all the better by the genuinely lovely staff. Patiently and attentively listening to a list of allergies before bring delicious food with big smiles. Roti tacos were a big with the table btw!

Wow. Very rarely I leave a review but myself and my partner felt that we definitely had to for vivo amigo! Randomly booked after a shopping trip on our way home after seeing a couple of reviews on trip advisor and the curiosity of Mexican Indian cuisine was very intreging. We felt everything was a 10/10. The service was second to none, we cant remember his name, but what an attentive gentleman. We then indulged in a three course meal and couldn't say one negative thing about any of it. Everything was so tasty and a lovely touch with a free slice of cake for valentines! More than reasonable pricing for good quality of food! We are already looking forward to the our next visit!

What a gem in Cardiff! Mexican-Indian food, the best little, cozy restaurant in Cardiff. It's our another visit and food is absolutely beautiful. We are coming especially for it from Bridgend and we never disappointed. Starters, mains and desserts all absolutely delightful. One of my favourite places. Staff are so helpful when trying to choose. The idea of Indian-mexican fusion really works. Roti as Tacos to die for. Great vegetarian and vegan options, and they are happy to customise where they can.

As always we had a wonderful meal, the Indian Mexican fusion is such a great idea. We had beef madras tacos and lamb meatballs to start both really delicious and then kerala beef enchiladas one of the best dishes ever. A fantastic meal full of new and exciting flavours! The staff member was incredibly attentive and really friendly! The Berry drink we had was phenomenal, our taco, frankie, and enchilada were incredibly tasty, and I know we’ll be back to taste the rest of the menu! Had lunch here with a few guys from work, really great little place with a cool vibe inside. Very friendly and attentive staff without being over bearing and the food was delicious. Really lovely food. Excellent choice for vegans and vegetarian and it was a very large menu so would be hard for anyone to find something they couldn’t enjoy. I also requested something that wasn’t on the menu, and that was very politely accommodated to with no issues. I will be coming back for sure One small thing, would be nice to have a vegan yoghurt/sour cream/mayo in the future to make it an even better menu.

This is one of the best meals I had in 2023! Delicious and unique. So tasty. I highly recommend it. And definitely want to go back next time I visit Cardiff.

Great restaurant! I had the Roti taco and wow! All the boxes were ticked! Great portion great price and really tasty. Service was great the waitress was very caring in explaining menu items and checked up on us throughout our meal. Only loses a star because of crumbs on one of the tables near us that was setup for other customers. I will come back in future again and change my review if it changes! Definitely worth a visit for some goode Mexican/Indo food!

Viva Amigo proved to be the perfect place for our laid back pre-Christmas family gathering to celebrate our lovely daughter-in-law’s 30th birthday! Such tasty food, so reasonably priced. Will return soon!

Had lunch this afternoon. Met Vikram the owner who was an excellent host. Pleasing decor. We had tandoori chicken Quesadilla and lamb albondigas. The latter had a very nice flavour the former needed a bit more of the tandoori masala. For mains we had Jack fruit burrito which was good as was the pulled beef madras burrito and the kerela beef pepper fry enchilada. A nice afternoon. Will be back.

Really enjoyed a tandoori chicken burrito at this place! Every bite, start to finish was full flavour and absolutely delicious. Nice cup of vanilla chai tea too wash it all down after too. We had an absolutely amazing evening here on July 22nd. We booked as a special treat for our first wedding anniversary the week before and we both had very high expectations, having read and heard great things about Vivo Amigo. They surpassed our expectations on every level imaginable! The food was nothing short of breathtaking - the fusion of Indian and Mexican is one we would never have imagined but it worked like magic. The addition of Indian spices and flavours to Mexican staples like empanadas, elote, and fajitas beautifully complemented each other and elevated all aspects of every single dish we tried. The staff were friendly, helpful, attentive, happy to offer suggestions when I was spoiled for choice and were even brilliantly accommodating with my particular needs as a wheelchair user. My partner and I were so thoroughly impressed, we've already agreed that we need to work our way through the rest of their excellent and varied menu.
