Barburrito in Cardiff

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I recently visited Barburrito in Cardiff, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. I loved the build-your-own burrito option, as it allowed me to customize my meal exactly how I wanted it. The ingredients were top-quality, and everything tasted so authentic. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting in to enjoy the lively vibe, Barburrito is a must-try in Cardiff. I’ll definitely be returning soon—highly recommend! 🌯✨

Alice is a legend - deserves a raise

Very poor service and unhygienic Today, when I visited the restaurant, I observed some concerning behavior from one of the staff members. A male staff member with long hair was preparing dishes based on customer choices. The customers seemed new to the restaurant. However, instead of guiding them on how to order—he could’ve simply said it works like Subway—he was busy having an inappropriate conversation with another staff member. While casually asking the customers what they wanted, he said things like “choose one from four,” without offering any proper explanation. He wore gloves the entire time, but because he wasn’t focused, he didn’t hear the customers clearly. They had to point at the food to communicate their choices. At one point, he told them not to point over the counter, saying he was wearing gloves and would point for them. If he was concerned about hygiene, he should have also been wearing a mask, especially since he was constantly talking and laughing while preparing food. That kind of behavior can lead to saliva spreading over the food, which is extremely unhygienic. Additionally, the customers had purchased a bottle of water with their meals, but after paying, they walked to their table without taking it. The staff member noticed the bottle, but instead of calling them back or handing it to them, he took the bottle and placed it back in the fridge. This is very poor service and shows a lack of care for both the customers and hygiene.

If I ever come back it will be for the fantastic service Alice gave. Never has there been someone more deserving of being a manager. Absolute legend , great banter. Will be back for more

I’ll be honest with you; I wasn’t much in the mood for Mexican so I was in a bit of a mood when I ordered but Alice who helper me at the counter made my entire day. They did not have to be so nice and fun but they were and it put the biggest smile on my face and I would honestly come back just for Alice. Everyone should be more like Alice, including me. Thank you, Alice. I hope you get a BIG promotion and an even bigger pay raise. Cheers from a tourist from Copenhagen, Denmark

Trying to find gluten and soy free food (they also cater for other allergies) that isn't boring and caters for your friends? I can recommend Bar Burrito. Being not that au feit with digital I needed the cheerful, patient and friendly help of the serving lady. For those digi-whiz persons, you can scan a QR Code and select your allergies. You will then get a detailed breakdown of the menu and what is safe for you to eat. I ate loaded Nachos with meat and vegetable toppings, the nachos were crispy and dry, not only at all. They had a good choice of Mexican beers and soft drinks. I'm fully recharged, ready for more shopping in St. David's Centre! Recommended.

The vegan option is tasty, however they don't give enough beans/protein nor veggies. & charge extra for everything. For the sause, for salad if you prefer more coleslaw instead of lettuce you pay extra. I only ever purchase when I get a referal discount and my free birthday Burrito.

Amazing loved the food and the sever was lovely 10 out of 10 would do again.

I've been going here for about 8 years now, regularly. Bar burrito has a brilliant atmosphere, the staff are lovely and chatty and always happy to chat. Thenkyou for the service. Bloody brilliant here! This place is like a safe haven for me and my father as food is how we bond and this place makes it easier.

First time ordering from here, and first time ordering mexican food in general. Super tasty! Amazing churros, burrito was packed (very heavy!) nachos were delicious, everything was secured very well. And the Jarritos cola is beautiful!

Very disappointing bland food. Seriously skimped out on the chicken. Not an ounce of flavour in my burrito bowl. Boyfriend was equally as disappointed with his burrito. Very sad food. Wouldn’t come back any time soon

I absolutely love coming here. The food is so fresh, comforting and delicious and the portions are excellent value for money! The staff are so accommodating and knowledgeable about the menu, as a vegan I find it so easy to order as everything is well labelled and described and the staff are happy to help. My meat eating daughter also loves coming here so there is something for everybody! The staff seem very happy at work and have real camaraderie which is plain to see. The restaurant is always clean and tidy. Special thanks to Ella who makes the best burritos in south wales!

Food arrived freezing cold. One bowl had at least half the amount of rice that the other did, while it had hardly any toppings on it compared to the other. They were probably made by two different people but the portion differences were terrible. The chicken and guacamole were decent but that’s about it. Honestly wouldn’t order from here again unfortunately as we had from here last time when in Cardiff and it was lovely but not this time

A lot of great choices to make the burrito you want. Staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Definitely would come back….

The place was dirty, the staff weren't nice, the burrito has less ingredients, specially beans but also the Guacamole wasn't fresh... I love this food and place but the last 3 times that I came, I didn't like it

As usual, food here is beautiful! We went all out today and I'm glad that the service that was provided to us by the Angelina and James was absolutely incredible as per usual. Would always recommend this barburrito, as well as the staff here 💪
