Vivo Latino in Cardiff

Popped in for lunch after staying in Cardiff Bay for the night. Warm welcome, nice atmosphere and great decorations and art on the walls. Had lamb meatballs for starter and enchilada for main. Food was fantastic, I loved the kick from the sauce the meatballs were in, and was very happy with the enchilada, never before had a freshly cooked one from a restaurant. My only regret is that I wasn't more adventurous, but will be next time.

Very friendly staff with nothing too much trouble and was made very welcome throughout the visit. The food was absolutely amazing and a great price too. Food and drink for £10 each and was enjoyed by myself and my partner so much that we have booked for Thursday night and cannot wait for the main menu and drinks

What a great place this is. The ambience seems mexican when you first walk in but it's really more south American. All the staff were really nice and the food was excellent. The fajitas were very good. Very much enjoyed it.

Asked not to be filmed while eating here after they had a phone on me for over 5 minutes and the manager ensured that I would not be filmed anymore. They contined taking videos including the one mentioned below. Low and behold a week later I'm on their TikToc reel, no common decency shown

This restaurant was amazing! We visited on valentines day and the setup was great. The service was phenomenal, we were never left waiting and all staff were extremely polite, happy and eager. The food was also out of this world, very passionate chef!! I would only encourage those to pay the restaurant a visit! Amazing prices too :)

Absolutely Sublime, everything from the food to the service was perfect. Its so hard to find real authentic Latin food but Vivo Latino is the place to go! The peruvian goat curry was incredible, the Mole plabano was fantastic and the Empanadas are a must have! Cannot wait to come back

Second time visiting here and the food was just as good as the last visit. Staff were very attentive. The latin bread is delicious and the burger I had was lovely, it was obviously home made. The portions are very generous and we left feeling full and happy

Fab little restaurant just outside the city centre. Well worth a visit. Lovely fun atmosphere with an excellent variety of dishes on the menu. They have added a host of new offers such as 2 for 1 cocktails and weekday lunchtime specials. We’ve taken our teenagers there too and they loved it. Fully recommend.

Great food and amazing drinks. I think the lady behind the bar was Arju and she ensured we were well cared for and an empty glass didn't last long, amazing bartender!

Absolutely loved the delicious latino tapas and cocktails served here. We had the express daytime deal and it was a colourful explosion of tasty plates. There were plenty of options for everyone but we can highly recommend the vegetarian options. Colourful and vibrant restaurant setting and we can’t wait to come back and try more! Quiet during our daytime visit but we still loved it.

Fantastic restaurant especially if you live nearby a great selection of food and generous drinks options definitely could become your regular spot.

Food delivery ordered through Uber eats. Delivery took ages, called the restaurant and they claimed it had been delivered. I explained it hadn’t. Numerous calls between the restaurant and the driver. It took another half an hour to get to the bottom of the fact that the driver was in the wrong place. The driver called me demanding my location which I didn’t need to give because the address was on the app. The driver then arrived at my house with food to hand me the bag that he’d just delivered elsewhere. I was expected to eat ice cold food which had been accepted by someone else only to open it and discover that I had also been sent the wrong items. Terrible service, quality, attitude and clearly awful hygiene. Still awaiting a refund as the restaurant has left the order pending on purpose. Avoid!!!

We had a great Mexican / South American dinner. We shared a variety of starters and mains and we loved them.

Food was ok. Chicken quesedillas and spiced potatoes were nice but unfortunately both tacos (chicken and cauliflower) were just overpowered by the balsamic glaze. The steak in the fajitas was very fatty as well. To top it off, there was one group that was very loud and swearing a lot across the restaurant and management didn't say anything to them which was disappointing. Overall, I wouldn't go back again.

We went Saturday for bottomless brunch this booking was a very large booking of 19 we can all say the food and drinks was amazing and will definitely be back again the only issue we had was the younger waiter was slightly abrupt and rude to a few guest but it was a very large group we will just put it down to being this,also they put happy birthday balloons up and alowed us to come down early to decorate and they plaited the cake up for us and added some extras on the cake and we was very grateful for these extras the cake looked amazing,we will definitely be recommending this restaurant for bottomless brunch to friends and family and others and will definitely be booking again soon.Thank you to all the staff we really appreciate how special you made our day and can not wait to book again soon.

We had tapases and drinks here yesterday. Everything was exceptionally tasty, including drinks. It was a perfect example of something I've been saying; food can be spicey without being painfully hot. Visited Vivo Latino recently and had a very good night! We hadn't been for a couple of years. I was glad the menu, drinks, and service were still as good as I remembered, if not better! There's plenty of choice on the menu. Food comes out fresh and hot. The cocktails are top notch. Tasty desserts too. And very attentive and friendly service. Thank you to Amit who took good care of us. Will happily return.

I ordered a Chicken Tinga Burrito and Pulled Beef Burrito, along with two servings of Mozzarella cheese sticks, to be delivered via Uber Eats. The food arrived at room temperature and had been poorly packaged. The burrito filling was displaced making it very difficult to eat. As for the quality of the food, it was poor. Synthetic cheese, soggy bread and unflavoured chicken, made it a unfavourable meal. Whilst this review is purely based on the delivery service, I would not recommend ordering from this restaurant.
