No complaints! Amazing food, lovely service, tiramisu to *die* for. I love it here.

Lovely independent Italian cafe / pizzeria, really feels authentic when you step inside, tiled floors white walls and pictures of amazing Italian scenery it really sets the scene for what they are about! Only stopped for quick lunch bite ordered a fresh baguette with cured ham, chicken and mozzarella with honey mustard dressing. Food was fresh but could scored more points with an Italian side salad, also using fresh creamy mozzarella instead of processed mozzarella and touch more seasoning overall. But certainly not bad food, the pizzas looked amazing they use a real wood fired oven cooked authentically with passion, would have really liked to tried the pizza but that’s for next time. Not a huge selection is antipasto dishes. Service was quick and polite, although menus do not state about lunch deals when ordering panini or baguette which is only on main board by the till so I missed that until paying, a solid lunch deal here would smash it something around 8-10£ mark I think would bring even more business! Will come back to try those amazing looking pizzas!

Bistro atmosphere where the staff take a keen interest in customer care. Welsh Italian cooking with the intention of pleasing the palate with delectable fare.... simple food but excellent taste.

A very relaxing place to go (in fact going there again in a few minutes lol!). Food delicious and Mark & Rita cannot do enough to make sure all is well when you are there.

This is my favourite coffee shop in my village. Really good coffee, and excellent, freshly baked cakes. Their Paradiso cake is as light as a feather and goes perfectly with a cup of coffee.

Very very good pizza. We ordered for collection and it was available within quarter of an hour - almost faster than we could get to the restaurant! Dining in: upstairs for 6 of us - fast, friendly service and good pizza. Recommend booking. Also great at lunchtime - warming casserole for a cold January day. Half size pizzas available at lunchtime. Dog friendly.

We had a delightful freshly prepared lunch here today. An authentic wood fired pizza and paninis. Waiting staff were pleasant, attentive and helpful. Would recommend.

Best pizzas in Whitchurch and possibly Cardiff. The burrata starter was a thing of wonder. They also do a very nice Sardinian beer. Next time you're thinking of a Dominos, have a word with yourself and get a takeout from here instead.

Popped by for the first time for lunch with a mate and was blown away by the service, quality of food, value for money and overall friendliness and warmth of everyone there. Proper jewel of the Whitchurch high street.

This is our favourite place to eat pizza. The serve, price and especially the food is second to none. We also have take aways and the food is just as nice and still pipping hot by the time we get it home. I highly recommend the Vegan Pizza, Keep up the good work.

Exceptionally clean little cafe/restaurant in the heart of Whitchurch. Very friendly, helpful staff. Sensible menu, sticking to pizzas for mains with a lovely pizza oven. Pizzas were nice but not delicious - lacking a bit of flavour - herbs (basil), pepper....desserts looked good. Will have to visit in day to give them a try...

Even though we live very near, we had not tried this restaurant before. After tonight’s meal, we will definitely be back. Fabulous service, delicious starters and main course and a new Sardinian larger that went down a treat. All in all a perfect start to our evening and we will definitely be back.

This place is a gem . Great place to meet friends for a chat and coffee , with outdoor seating in the sun , it just has the perfect vibe to relax with friends or chill with a coffee and a good book . Have eaten here on many an occasion and it never disappoints . With all the staff being so friendly and always up for a chat and a laugh it makes it such a pleasant place. All the Italian cakes and deserts are all made by the lovely Rita , and with husband Mark adding to the friendly atmosphere , the couple have created a little gem . And the pizzas are fab . Well done to the owners and staff .

Had a delicious lunch here with my wife. We had a beautiful chicken Cesar salad followed by a pizza each. I’d have to say I think this was the best pizza I have had in wales. It was a really relaxed atmosphere and the staff were great, friendly and professional it was an honestly faultless lunch, super impressed. Thank you.

The freshly baked cakes and savouries are always to die for at La Cucina da Mara and with this in mind I asked if they would be able to make a dessert/cake for me for a special dinner party. I had previously tried their Paradiso cake which is scrumptious but I really wanted a chocolate cake. Speaking to Rita, one of the owners, she agreed to make a chocolate version of the Paradiso, filled with a chocolate cream and covered with a dark chocolate ganache. When I picked it up, it was beautifully decorated and trimmed with blueberries and raspberries. It's safe to say that the cake went down a storm; it looked stunning - AND IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Thank you Rita and Mark for your continuing great service and the outstanding quality of your food. You are an absolute brilliant addition to Whitchurch Village and long may it continue!

We had a wonderful dinner here - pizzas and desserts were delicious (one of the best pizzas I have eaten in a long time), the staff were all incredibly warm and welcoming and the prices very reasonable. It had the lovely feel of a local family run business. We hope to be back soon

Stopped off for a quick bite to eat. Our pizzas were delicious and very authentic italian (having travelled to many different regions). Our waiter (who I assume was the owner) was so welcoming and friendly. Prices also very reasonable. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Excellent lunch and great service. Really enjoyed the cappuccino (had two in the end - it was that nice), panini and a cake for pudding. Mince pie was top notch and the vannila and chocolate muffin. I will be trying their pizza's next time as it looked fab and they had a propper pizza oven in the back. Great little place and a real find in Whitchurch.

Love the pizza: always quattro staggioni for me, but I found myself comparing another restaurant's tiramasu to theirs, and it's hard to beat. I actually said it's like bites of heaven, so I thought I should commit such a compliment to record!

What a little Gem this place is arranged to meet family & friends at this Restaurant, we were given the most warmest of welcomes when we all arrived by the owners Mark, Rita and their lovely staff which starts the evening off on the right vibe. The pizzas are amazing and a must have if you visit although they also have specials on if Pizza is not for you, the desserts are on another level and all displayed in a fridge cabinet so really hard to resist. We all agreed it was an amazing evening with amazing food what more could you ask for can’t wait for our next visit. Highly recommend 5*

Amazing place with a heart of Italy 🇮🇹. Pizzas are from a proper woodfired oven and you can see it getting cooked. And don't forget the delectable choice of desserts (Its all about the tiramisu)!!

This is a superb little find. Wood fired Pizzas, soups, delicious puds and warm and Friendly service. We took our 3 year old grandson with us and we all eat very well. Wonderful. We will be back soon for more delicious food.

Visited Da Mara today with my wife for a coffee and sandwich. Very impressed by quality of the food 'and' the service. I had a lovely smoked cheese sandwich whilst the wife had bruschetta. The owner must have overheard us say we were going to share so, unprompted, brought us two side plates. The staff came to see us twice to check we were happy with our food and drinks. We will definitely return. Highly recommend.

Tried for the first time on a Friday night . Phoned and booked a table earlier in the week As you walk through the door you are greeted by the most amazing deserts cabinet. Met by Mark the owner who showed our table and helped...
