The best restaurants in Pontypridd Town Rhondda Cynon Taf South Wales

I used to love this restaurant years ago, so persuaded my husband whilst visiting Pontypridd after living away for many years to have lunch here. An absolute disaster!! The Manager looked stressed and didn’t know where to sit us (or the couple in front of us) and eventually we were shown to the area upstairs. A number of people arrived after us, we chose to sit at one of the tables laid with a nice white tablecloth. Eventually the waitress arrived -but moved us to a bare table explaining that the table we were at was for “afternoon tea” only! We were finally asked for our order after other people had given theirs. The couple in front of us having almost the same non-existent service-then walked out. We gave our order for our first and main course together with a request for wine to accompany it. After half an hour the waitress having served other tables then finally brought our two glasses of water …and gave them to the next table! We asked if we could at least have our previously ordered glasses of wine whilst waiting…. Still Nothing arrived! We then reluctantly decided to follow our fellow diners example and leave which is what we did. Such a disappointment! We will never go there again!

One of the best fish and chip places I have ever been to. Food was piping hot, great portions, fresh and delicious. Prices were good and the staff were great, couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be going back.

Uninspiring decor. Small portions.

Just had a prawn salad on a plate and a brown bread cheese and pickle sandwich a can a bottle of water all for under 14 pounds they were delicious the prawn salad was so cheap it was almost a give away this place is fab will definitely be coming back

We visited on a Friday evening and we felt very welcome. Good selection of very good beers at the bar. Reasonable prices. A good atmosphere from the what I assume is the regular crowd. Friendly bar staff.

Soon as we came in, it was a mess. Our table wasn’t cleaned for about 20 minutes. We were sat there for an hour before we received any food. No knife or forks, our drinks order was lost, and we had to ask again several times before having one, even after we paid. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Will not be attending again.

Again I have t report the same shop Imperial Desserts Caerphly selling out of date items to kids. What's more worrying is this is what we can see, what about the it's behind the counter?

The name is no longer BBQ Station. It's now "The Fire Grill". I just came here to buy fish. But the new guys don't do fish stuff. I didn't want to do any rating.but the system won't let me post without the rating.

Waited two hours for a delivery that turned up cold and not really nice but they don't care don't buy try another Indian

Very poor food. Cheap tasting burgers with salad that was chunked rather than sliced. Only half the fries were edible nor was it a decent portion. The small chicken wings were well overcooked. Best thing about this meal was the speedy delivery. Give it a miss, plenty of other places to get a better take away from.
