generous & tasty pots of curry sauce and mushy peas but both the sausage & chips (£4.95 each) portions were really small. chips were quite tasty but very greasy.

Honestly the worst chippy I’ve ever had. Undercooked chips that had no colour on them. A battered sausage that had no crunch on the batter and portion sizes tiny. Would never eat here again in my life. Didn’t finish the food and genuinely feel a little sick after attempting to eat any of it.

the worst kebab I’ve ever had. I’ve had some bad ones before and I’ve still been able to eat them, but this was so bad I had one bite and spat it out! Kebab meat was boiling hot, I’ve eaten kebab straight after being cut before and it’s never been that hot, this one was delivered and it was really hot, which makes me think it could’ve been microwaved?? Chicken burger was ok. Just a standard frozen chicken burger kind of one, not great though. I will never order from here again. Honestly don’t waste your money, go somewhere else

When I first went to this store in March of 2023, I ordered gravy & Chips to go, however, as I was wearing A Merthyr RFC 1st team Players Top they refused to either let me buy or give me a fork as they said they hate all Merthyr People (I am not nor have I ever been from Merthyr Tydfil)! Then I thought I would return on the 13/11/2023 to buy a Large cod and chips, oh wow! was this a mistake as they charged me THIRTY FIVE POUNDS for an £8.5 order. I did not even get a large cod so the bill should only have been £7.5 as they only had a medium cod. NOTE: I only found out when I checked my bank statement in December of 2023. Ordered a fish meal with curry sauce. Order came 30 mins late, when I tried calling I got diverted to a Lyca voicemail. Food was no longer hot and came with mushy peas not curry. I didn't bother asking for a refund because we were starving by time food got here, just ate without sauce and mushy peas went to the dog. Disappointing as previous orders have been lovely. The fish was amazing, however, the chips and curry sauce were both luke warm.. Driver was nice and I will order again, maybe pick up next time.

chicken pasty pastry was rock hard and not much filling.chips were either reheated or cooked in old oil.absolutely disgusting.The local tom cat ate it but he will eat anything. total taste of money.we have had breakfasts from you which are really nice but that meal was horrible and the only thing that was nice was the diet coke!

ordered a very simple order at 8pm. ex0ected delivery time of 9pm. no delivery as of 930. called the number though just eat, straight to vm. find two alt numbers online which just rings out. now gone 10pm, the shop is closed and no delivery. just eat app says food was delivered at 920. absolutely shambolic.

Yeah we will always order from here the only disappointment we have is I pay like 13.00 for a chicken strip deal which is supposed to have 6 strips chips and drink but we always have 4 pieces instead of 6 and we get charged for 6 but the food is always good

Always get fabulous service and the food is amazing.

Since moving here over a year ago we have tried numerous take out and we have always come back to this one food is delicious and my daughter is obsessed by the chicken staff are always polite and delivery is always on time and sometimes it’s early woukd highly recommend

My daughter ordered for the first time last night. It was delivered promptly by a friendly driver,it was hot and packed well.The fish and chips were amazing,and the sausage and chips also very tasty.Very good value,and wil be ordering again, thanks everyone for a great supper.

When ever you eat in or have a take out the food is also hot and tasty the staff are always friendly never had any problems will recommend you try

Every time my family and I have either eaten in or ordered a takeaway the service of the staff has always been great, good sense of humour, and the place is clean and tidy

I have nothing really bad to say about this place other than the fact the fish batter was greasy and soft and fell apart easily. Taste was there but not much else.

I'm a chef and this is the Best fish and chips in Ponty, so delicious! Always hot and on time, not greasy and the cod batter is beautifully light and airy! Chips are chunky and lovely and fluffy. 10/10 always! Plus the staff are so lovely!

I asked for a child’s meal 5 times the lady served me the food it was an adults meal. She was then rude and adamant I didn’t ask for a child. Her attitude was disgusting and I was forced to pay for a full adults meal. She could not understand English. They need to learn English in order to understand orders.

My wife had won a fish and chip meal at this chip shop. The raffle had been run by The Principality Building Society to raise money for charity- a worthy thing to do. We presented the voucher (signed by the owner) to have a meal. The owner of the chip shop refused to honour the voucher, telling us that the voucher applied to the "old" company and this was a "new" company. He was rude and aggressive and (in his manner) told us to go. We left and (later) I visited The Principality to tell them what had happened. The manageress was appalled and very apologetic (even though it wasn't their fault). They promised to visit the owner and discuss things with him (which they did). The result was that he promised to honour the voucher. The following week my wife presented the voucher and was served. There was no attempt to apologise for what had happened. Instead she was served whilst the owner muttered something to his assistant. They did give us more than the £16 on the voucher (we had been prepared to pay for any excess). However, the fish (whilst nice) was a little small, the batter slightly soggy and the chips must have been hanging around for a LONG time- they were tough, dry and small. What a wonderful chance for this chip shop owner to make two new customers, wasted. We will never use the shop again and wlould advise anyone to avoid it. After all, Pontypridd is hardly short of far better fish and chips than this place.

We ordered two cans of Pepsi which weren't delivered. We tried phoning and left a message and sent a text but there's been no reply. A refund would be good.

Food arrived late. Driver dropped the van on the floor, deforming it to the point where it won't open. Chios were fine, but the ½ peri peri chicken had clearly been heated in the microwave, making it so dry that I struggled to differentiate chicken from gristle and bone.

Ordered kids meal, with beans, but unfortunately got a pot of curry instead. Everything else was great.

Ordered fish and chips and sausage in batter. Must have got a mix of my order and someone else's because the fish was swapped with a non-descript pie (???) that I didn't order or want. Restaurant wouldn't pick up the phone, ended up having a sad meal I didn't order. Chips were alright, at least.

Fast efficient and very tasty, just one thing that could have been better, the chips were on the cold side and did not look appetising but they did taste OK after warming them up .

Food had clearly been sat under heat lamp for hours, saturated in old fat. Missing an item too.

Didn't receive the beans at all, the kids drink wasn't a Capri Sun. You already owe us two kids drinks from past orders also.

Original delivery time was 2.30 it’s now 3.20 still no food. Just wondering how it’s going be cold that’s will be the last I would have been quicker going to get it myself

Over An hour after being notified order was on its way it turned up cold. Sent back and got a replacement an hour later -BUT the cans of drinks were missing. So order ended up being 2 hours late and incomplete. Food was nice when it did arrive.

Ordered here a few days ago, after nothing for two hours, asking for an order update with no answer, I called and the person on the phone didn’t apologise, said it had already been delivered when it clearly hadn’t. After being quite rude/short with me on the phone they hung up, and couldn’t get back in touch by text and phone went to voicemail. Got a refund through Just Eat in the end, won’t order from here again!

I wouldn't order again, the fish was mostly batter and greasy hardly no fish was also a similar size to a sausage un batter definitely not worth £6!

Wrong order arrived and missing item called to inform restaurant was meant to be sent out half hour later and never received.

When it eventually arrived,it was wet,soggy,cold and inedible. If I could have left 0 stars I wouod have.

Battered sausage is awful and sickly. Chips didn’t arrive, took 20 minutes to replace, gravy is bland..wouldn’t recommend :(

Got the tikka chicken kebab and it doesn’t say in the menu that it’s spicy. It’s ridiculously hot so I can’t eat all of it unfortunately. My note wasn’t addressed and they gave me onions and tomatoes which I didn’t ask for

I have always received good service & food from here except for last night! I ordered food at 5.50pm. Notified would take an hour to deliver. At 7pm was Notified it was delayed & would take another 30mins. It arrived at 8pm and was cold and dry. Not happy

Usually fish n chips great from here. Tried the lamb donar wrap- awful. Hard dry meat and old grease taste and smell. Couldnt eat salad as requested no cucumber due to allergic mouth reaction if i eat it and there was lots of it in the wrap. Really poor quality. Battered sausage n chips was fine for my partner. 3/4hr from "on its way" to delivery - its only a 5 min drive

20 mins after the latest time it stayed for delivery. Food was stone cold. They had obviously driven around with it for ages. Cold & soggy, so much so that the paper was all stuck on the food and it couldn’t be peeled off. Shocking !! It went in the dog. Made myself a sandwich instead.

We took delivery of our meals. but when we checked there were no chips in the bag. We telephoned the number given for thee restaurant only to be met with voicemail. After several messages left for them we still heard nothing from them. Im out a bag of chips and the £3.75 they cost me. Wont be going back to them!

I haven't been in here but from what I see when walking past, it looks gross, dirty and has a food hygiene rating of 2! Staff look miserable and come across rude.
