Food was lovely but could not pay with card so had to go to the cash point.

Awful - avoid at ALL cost! Came for a drink here and decided to stay for a meal in the restaurant. Mistake number 1. 5 of us seemed to be an issue in a half empty restaurant. My sister ordered a mushroom ravioli for starter(from the vegetarian menu) they then came back to stay they had swapped the mushroom ravioli for LAMB RAGU. FOR A VEGETARIAN. Starters took 40 mins to arrive, one didn’t arrive with the other 4 (my mum being polite told us to eat ours whilst she waited for hers) I was done with mine before my mums arrived, no apology for the wait. Then took a while to clear our starters and a further wait for our mains. If it wasn’t bad so far… it gets worse. We ordered a bottle of wine for the table which the bartender brought over, poured our wine and then left them on the other end of the table (5 of us on a table for 8) Mains arrived; fish and chips, a mountain of over cooked poor quality frozen chips. Chicken and chips, again shop bought chips and burnt dry chicken. And the worst of all; the mushroom tagliatelle, inedible. Disgustingly oily and overpowering herby. Priced at £17.99 but then an additional £8 for 3 slices of dry chicken. No check backs on the food and no one came to offer desserts, not that we would have had them, we would however have asked for the bill to the table. No we had to find the manager who told us we’d have to go over to the till if we wanted to pay the bill. The hotel itself is run down and tired looking. Toilets weren’t pleasant. Definitely not 4 start. Overall, poor service and poor food in a dated setting with a high price tag. Avoid

Visited this Chinese as the one we normally go to was closed The food looked lovely but the taste was not to our liking and we will not be going back The food was quite greasy and not full or flavour which was really disappointing as it looked great

Customer service has gone down hill terrible! Foods almost always a mess or wrong foods given, cheap food for high prices, charges different prices to the prices on the ticket. Used to order a few times a week. Never again! £22 of food in the bin with these and a Chinese on the way instead. Maybe new owners as the last lot of owners were amazing and never let it get this bad!

I’ve ordered here probably 7 or 8 times in the past and it’s hit n miss. One order will be bang on the next missing toppings or desserts or cold even. some reason we still sometimes order. They did do great create your own style burgers which is now not available on the new menu. You also can’t buy add ons which is a let down not even extra bacon or cheese sauce... The menu is pretty basic and underwhelming really. The latest disappointment was going to order at 7.45 and being told they aren’t taking no more orders. This has happened a few times I’ve attempted to order. Doubt I’ll bother again.

Ordered from Uber Eats apparently they just delivered to another house. Didnt even resemble my address. They do their own deliveries after contacting uber eats. I would avoid if you want a guaranted delivery on a weekend . Sorry I cant comment on the food only the service, but they both go hand in hand. A very dissapointed family on a Friday night. Please dont make teh same mistake we did. I wont ever be ordering from them again.

Quiet busy shop at Saturday , Chicken balls and Special Chow Mein noodles was very nice. Loves it !

Food is decent, but the service has gone downhill since they introduced only being only being able to order at a machine. Firstly, I've been told my clubcard can't work with the machines, so if I want the points, I have to take my receipt to customer services afterwards to get them added to my account. One time I couldn't get the free child's meal deal without a clubcard being used, so the member of staff used somebody else's card for my order! It doesn't seem a very satisfactory answer to the problem! Today I visited and felt the service was poor. I ordered a cooked breakfast with sourdough toast and scrambled eggs. First I got my drink, which was fine, but I asked for a teaspoon, which was never brought to me (I had already looked if there was cutlery anywhere I could help myself to, and there wasn't). Then my food arrived with normal white toast, not sourdough, and fried eggs instead of scrambled. I told a member of staff, who just said she would "let them know" (no apology), but nothing ever happened. These are minor problems but irritating - why give options with the cooked breakfast if you're not going to be given what you've chosen? As a busy mum, I don't get many chances to eat out, so this was supposed to be a treat for me. Disappointed. This isn't a criticism of individual staff because they all seem to work very hard and be rushing around constantly, but the system doesn't seem to work very well and customers should be looked after better.

The food is okay in Flames, but they only take cash payments. The only plausible reason for this can be a desire to avoid paying tax, as Card readers are very cheap to install and certainly a benefit to customers. We should all be boycotting any shop that doesn’t take debit cards, they certainly aren’t looking to make life easier for their customers

Had food delivered to pontllanfraith which to be fair is quite a distance from the shop for a delivery service. food was delivered 30 mins late to the time I asked for it which isn't to bad considering the distance covered and food was delivered hot and was really nice tasting. I couldn't say a negative thing about it.

Always great food and the chilli sauce is amazing
