The best restaurants in Caerphilly South Wales

Complete waste of time. After a 200 mile drive and less than 2 miles to go, why not get a Chinese, right? Superb if you don’t mind waking into a place with NO PRICES ON DISPLAY. I’d forgiven the 3 star hygiene rating but the final straw was “cash only”!! When asking the price of things the lady had to put it into the register to tell me…! After wasting my time making the detour, after all that fuss they don’t even take card payment, cash only! This business has been here since the 1980s. I expect better. This has been my first and final visit. How is this place still ins business.

Went here with my hubby and sister in law and boyfriend.... neva have a starter but my sister un law did and she had the minestrone soup and a roll...which she said was beautiful... i had the Turkey for main .. we also had 1 lamb and 2 mixed meats.. all the meats were cooked beautiful and all very tender.. and an absolute platefull of it... the veg came in turines and there was huge amount of it.. plus we had stuffing and rosties and Yorkshire.... all the food was cooked to perfection... for desserts we had 2 choccy fudge and cream and a apple pie and custard... Absolutely beaut.... lovely friendly staff all of them... Will definitely be returning here....

I had my hen do here the other night and can,t praise staff enough the buffet they put on was excellent nothing was to much trouble everything was clean and tidy and myself and my guests had an amazing time .will visit again .

The food is absolutely vile and disgusting full of salt and tastes really cheap like a pile of muck worst Chinese around used to be really nice a long time ago but really gone downhill and not cheap either just generally never tasted something soo horrible

Both myself and my partner attended the cwtch on Saturday in January, it was quiet compared to the Wetherspoons over the road which we thought was surprising for a weekend. We were advised to go to that pub under the pretence of live music and were shocked to see this wasn’t the case as the manager told us it was not in the business interest due to a quiet period. Cath the manager had a horrendous attitude so we made sure we were served by someone else and avoided her. We were next served by Anna, who greeted us with a smile and honestly couldn’t do enough for us. We would return if there was guaranteed entertainment and friendly competent staff.

Almost 2 hours for delivery.... when told 45 mins Delivery driver was very grumpy, I think he needs a new job....

The uber driver phoned me he asked me to meet him in the car park because he couldn’t find my door number and he wanted me to leave my daughter alone when it was only me and my child alone not happy

TERRIBLE! I ordered my usual (Cheese Steak) it's usually delicious. This time, half the sub was soaking wet and inedible! This must be acceptable as I was refused a partial refund. I won't be buying from here again if their standards are that low.

This is my 3rd order and the last twice really lovely but the 3rd time being tonight, was ok but the rice tastes exactly the same as the Iceland egg fried rices tasting of plastic and the paper container it came out of, so if they are substituting their own rice with ready meal rice then I would give it a 2nd thought.

Although the pub has been taken over by new owners it's a complete shambles.Tables too big for the areas..having a pool table right in the middle of the pub isn't the best. It has no defining areas. It needs updating on all levels. Food is average..sadly I won't be returning

Becca is an absolute angel, so friendly,helpful and polite. She even carried my order to my car for me

I can't believe I ordered food which is 5 mins away and it turned up cold not happy won't be ordering from here again

Just had an order delivered. Pizza and chicken strippers were only just luke warm and they delivered bbq sauce instead of the garlic and herb I'd ordered, and I hate bbq sauce! I've just tried to ring them five times and each time, they've put the phone down on me! I regularly order from here and in fairness, it's usually good but quite the opposite this evening. I understand they may be busy but to cut someone off five times is not acceptable and there's no other way to contact them.

Pizza was like chewing a rubber band, need to change cheese and base, toppings had no flavour to them.
