Wong's in Caerphilly

Complete waste of time. After a 200 mile drive and less than 2 miles to go, why not get a Chinese, right? Superb if you don’t mind waking into a place with NO PRICES ON DISPLAY. I’d forgiven the 3 star hygiene rating but the final straw was “cash only”!! When asking the price of things the lady had to put it into the register to tell me…! After wasting my time making the detour, after all that fuss they don’t even take card payment, cash only! This business has been here since the 1980s. I expect better. This has been my first and final visit. How is this place still ins business.

we came here for a wonderful extravagant date night as I assumed, we were told the food here was exquisite HOWEVER oh my my how my tastebuds suffered this horrid, rancid, insufferable, vile, putrid dish that was presented before me. I feel bad for my boyfriend. My stomach is crying for help. My boyfriend started crying because his night was ruined, he was throwing up in the car due to what I assume food poisening... there were literal ROACHES in my meal. I can't say I'm entitled to only cuisine however I must say this meal is beyond lower than a homeless mans meal. when we went outside we kept a couple chips to give to the birds and the birds were throwing them up...WTF!!!!! The staff were shouting at this new guy and it was foul behaviour. Do it right next time . Give me good food you clowns!!

Never again My food was full of grease I called and ordered and I will still waiting 45 minutes for it outside in total I waited nearly 2 hours for food for future reference don’t make the mistake I did

First time ordering from here, but went on a recommendation. The BBQ ribs were big and so tasty. Crispy shredded beef was so crispy and tasty. So glad we ordered. Collected the food ourselves as i am not a fan of deliveries.

Absolutely disgusted with our experience tonight. Two of the three meals were wrong, chips we ordered weren’t included, we understand that mistakes are made sometimes, so travelled back to pick up rectified order and was rudely asked for extra money to cover the chips even though it wasn’t our mistake. Pancake roll (pictured) was beyond poor, looked half eaten or like a cat had a go at it before it was put in the bag, and absolutely dripping with grease. Met with further rudeness when called up to complain about it. Will not be ordering from here again.

We ordered a takeaway from Wong’s last night who said that 45 min wait for delivery after an hour we rang to ask where it was they said they were waiting for drive to come back be next delivery after various phone calls and it got to 2hours of waiting I rang and told them not to bother it was far to late then someone rings me to Ask again for my post code And said good is hot I told them I had cancelled the order order friends were going home spoilt our evening won’t be going back there

Had many takeaways from Wong’s no complaints food well cooked and tasty phone our order through and always ready on time service is always first class

never had a bad meal, our favourite takeaway, always friendly, food prepared quickly, fresh, hot and always nice

Staff shouting at young man for all customers to hear. Embarrassing for the Business. Foods ok but not nice enough for me to go again after hearing how staff treated their new recruit. Very poor and disappointing.

Going back 10 years ago songs was the best and busiest Chinese in Blackwood. Then like all places the chef leaves or the place changes hands. In the case of songs we as regular customers noticed straight away a huge difference in the taste of the food. (Now poor) we have tried on the rare time since to see if the food has recovered but sadly no. It's ashame to see the place quiet but when you cut corners and the food becomes cheap, reformed meat and not home made, what do they expect

Eat here quite often never had a bad meal always tastes good! I must say the timing is sometimes hit and miss but its always worth the wait! Always think if its late due to high demand it must be good 👌😉

First time at wong's loved it Chinese cooked to perfection highly recommended will be going again very soon loved it

Without Hesitating We Get Our Chinese Here Every Saturday! Beautiful food, polite pleasant staff! tried a few Chinese shops around the area but came back! wont be changing any time soon either! keep it up :)

A very very good Chinese takeaway, great quality food. The pancake rolls are by far the best thing on the menu. The only thing is that they don't deliver, but it's worth going to pick up.

We've tried every Chinese for miles around and Wongs is by far and away the best. They don't deliver, but I don't mind because its worth the drive. Easily the freshest and tastiest. Crispy beef is magnificent, salt n chills ribs magnifique. It's always busy but quality is never compromised. Outstanding.
