Ivor arms in Caerphilly

I had my hen do here the other night and can,t praise staff enough the buffet they put on was excellent nothing was to much trouble everything was clean and tidy and myself and my guests had an amazing time .will visit again .

Personally I’m not a fan of children running around whilst I am trying to dine with adult family members. Facilities were poor and I was greeted with attitude when requesting extra toilet roll as the toilets had all run out, customer service should be a forefront of a public house. The place could do with a deep clean as the bar area looked extremely cluttered. Food wasn’t too bad, but not what it used to be many years ago. Disappointed to see a pub I visited regularly during my childhood go so downhill

Had a lovely Sunday lunch this weekend the meat just fell apart. The waitress and staff were really friendly and welcoming. Very cheep! Me my husband and the kids had a lovely time definitely be back there again !!

Great food! Friendly environment with excellent food service. Very busy but food service on time. Delicious and filling food with huge portions size. Tender beef didn’t even need a knife. You can tell the food is freshly cooked and the environment is clean and tidy. Young waitress is always polite and always offers alternative and sauces with your meal. A choice of 4 meats and very cheap, desserts are different each time as they are freshly made by Italians and are huge preferred to share one Excellent!!

Been going to this place for nearly 15 years but it isn't what it was. You can still get a decent pint but the food used to be the main attraction for me......not anymore.

Tried the Ivor arms once for a meal . The food on that occasion was ok but too expensive for the surroundings you have to dine in. The place is scruffy and not very clean. There were children belonging to the landlord running around . One end of the bar seems to be a playroom . The toilet had a door off the hinges . The overall appearance of this place is scruffy dirty and to make it worse there was a person sitting on the doorstep smoking . She had a Bobble Hat on . We were told that is the Landlady and the person who cooks the food . Not a good place .

A meal with friends. Good choice on the extensive menu, priced a little higher than it should be perhaps and with a deserted feel to the bar/restaurant area. Though it has to be said that this visit was on a Wednesday evening. Weekends might be a lot more popular. The owner/staff all very pleasant and helpful.
