Lindas House in Caerphilly

Ordered 2 small chips and a fish cake, came to a whopping £7.85, chips were horrible and undercooked.

Regretted ordering a few minutes after I did. The place had a funny smell about it and it didn’t look particularly clean. Chips and curry sauce were ok but the egg fried rice was awful. Very greasy and had a strange tang. Won’t be going there again.

As regular users, we tend not to stray from our favourites, but disappointed with tonight's meal. Very rare to have a reason to complain but meat in both our meals not the best. Chicken in Cantonese style sauce almost inedible, chewy and tough. Chow mein meat felt a similarly dated. Shame it was felt good enough to serve,

When I confronted the lady at my food was under cooked she was very rude to my wife will never visit again

I was very disappointed with the meal deal take away the chicken were round processed pieces and very tough to eat This must be a cheaper version of a chicken curry normal meal 🤷‍♂️

Food was so salty we had ribs chow mein and curry couldn't eat at all will be complaining as neither of us could eat it totally disgusting will be asking for refund as food wasn't edible at all the salt content was totally over powering the food totally disgusted

Please don’t go there made me feel ill just looking at it all thrown in same carton which was broken and running out didn’t even look like curry and the smell was disgusting

I've left a 5 star review for Linda's House before, but tonight they decided to shut at 11pm and we turned up at 11:03pm going on the hours on their website (12am). They haven't changed opening hours as it's 12am on the door, they just couldn't be bothered to open to advertised hours and despite coming 3 minutes late to their closing time tonight didn't want the business. I won't be going there again so they've lost a lot of business for the future. Nice to see a business doing so well they don't want returning customers anymore.

Been having take away from lindas house once a week for 20 odd years, last couple of times had really bad chewy chicken in chiken balls, second time complained to manager and as she said, "we have plenty of customers so dont worry!"..This could have been resolved so easily. Terrible attitude to take just when i had complained once in approx 1040 meals. Our family would not order from you again. Great buisness sense for a manager.

Even now there are different people in charge they have never changed the curry and gravy and in my opinion their curry and gravy is the best in South Wales. Used to go here almost every other day when I was a kid and it's still as good now. 100% recommend

I don't really want to disclose the secret of Linda's House and how good it is (the gravy is amazing, labelled BBQ but a flavour all of its own). The best of the menu is a King Prawn Kung Po style (a number 12 which isn't ordered often as the girl at the desk always needs to check the menu when tallying the price). For under £6 you get around 8-10 freshly cooked king prawns (which is the price you'd pay at the supermarket). They add a simple but flavoursome chilli sauce, not sweet, with chunks of onion, pepper and bamboo. This with their egg fried rice always makes me happy to visit Blackwood.

Super Fast delivery, tasty food. My go to choice for take away, and they'll modify the dishes to suit you.

Call in here for a takeaway regularly... Never had a bad meal and we order same most times.. And always as good as previous times Excellent price too

Been having takeaways for years from this well run establishment, not anymore due to a run of poorly cooked food.The last takeaway cost twenty quid and the food ended up in the BIN!

I would probably have a chinese once a month before I started going to Linda's House. I now have one twice a week because they're so addictive. The gravy is the nicest thing I've had in my life and it compliments the chicken fried rice and chips perfectly. Never had a bad meal and delivery isn't too slow depending on what day it is.

Years ago before it was taken over this Chinese was the best in Blackwood, unfortunately it has declined dramatically in my estimations....Lovely people but lacking cooking skills. Usually order Chicken fried rice, special curry and chips. Rice seemed very heavy and claggy, curry thick enough to serve in slices and chips seemed to be treble cooked. Not very successful in my book, very disappointed all round. Will definitely leave well alone

Lindas I had delivered for years now, and the meals are always beautiful, although tonight I thought the portion of ribs ( consisting of 5) was a little on the small side for the price you pay, but the staff are always friendly and helpful , and get your meal delivered to you at a time they say........ keep up the good work

Has for a long time been the best Chinese in Blackwood however like Wongs previously businesses seem to change hands and then they try and cut costs at a detriment to the quality of the food. As an example the chicken curry at Linda's was lovely and then recently the chicken was dropped out for some sort of horrible tinned reformed chicken which totally ruined the dish. As a long time customer I brought it to the staffs attention who said sorry and said they would replace it with nicer chicken like the small pieces put into their chicken fried rice. However on getting delivery of the order the chef had just chopped up the horrid reformed chicken thinking that I wouldn't notice. Shockingly poor and now I looking around for a new Chinese to take my business to

Primera visita esta noche muy agradable China Chow Mein Singapur muy sabroso y bastante una patada. Mejor carne que he probado en comida para llevar en la carne arroz frito. Este es mi sitio al que ir para comida china. Incluso tenemos un poco de broma en la casa si mi madre no cocinar comida me digo que está bien, tengo mi segunda madre en speed dial, su nombre es linda! Este es un muy popular para llevar así que a veces es frustrante intentar conseguir a través en horas punta para colocar su orden pero sigue intentándolo! Siempre he encontrado el servicio y la entrega a ser bastante rápido siempre se entregan en menos de media hora de ordenar. Los precios son lentamente trepando pero eso es igual en todas partes y es así vale la pena. Personalmente mis platos favoritos son la mitad de patatas medio especial arroz frito con salsa de salsa (si en cambio la salsa podría personalmente llorar porque el olor de cuando me pase hace que mi boca agua) y me encanta su carne crujiente de chili. Salsa de Curry es muy buena, aunque me parece que a veces huele a BO, pero no dejes que te desanime.

Comido aquí literalmente cientos de veces en mi vida. La comida solía ser la mejor comida china sin embargo alrededor de estos días no es tan buena. Han cambiado la salsa así que ahora, en vez de estar como una salsa estilo chino tienes estilo chips. También encontrará las bolas de pollo dentro y estancia lejos squidgy desde las costillas, son muy grasos. Aparte de los platos todos los demás son muy bonitas. Continuará para comer aquí sin embargo regularmente mi china ha cambiado a otra.

Hadn't had take away and fancied trying this. Had Special Curry, Egg fried Rice, Chips and Pancake between me and a friend. Staff were really friendly, service was quick and the food was the tastiest I've ever had. Very reasonably priced too.

Have had both Chinese here and both were really greasy. You have to wait 20mins plus!!. Chips are nice but fish and chips are disgusting. Fish is fried in a batter more suitable for Chinese food and tastes weird and the fish itself was grey. Could not eat it. Chinese food there is better. Shrimp Chow mein yummy but Sweet and sour pork balls awful. I don't mind fatty meat but you couldn't chew these. Even the cat didn't want the leftovers.

Amazing food, cant go wrong having this after hitting Blackwood on a saturday night! Food is amazing and cheap and it will sober you up in no time

Visitamos a recoger comida. Personal amable y la comida era llevado rápidamente. Las patatas son buenas, pero el arroz frito especial tiene un tipo de salsa en el piso superior, en el que personalmente no es de mi gusto, no hay mucho de lo que puede ser vaciado. Los precios son normales y hay una buena selección de platos chinos en inglés y el menú.

Just moved to the blackwood area tried a few Chinese take aways around here but Linda's house beats them all

Regularly will use Linda's house specially after a 10pm finish at work. Lovely chicken balls, sometimes the curry can be too hot but still tastes good. The food seems to taste much better over the weekend than through the week. Only downside is waiting 45minutes for the food to be delievered but it is def worth the wait.

Everyone has their favourite Chinese I know but once you have had a "Linda's" there is no going back and when I have been abroad it is the first place I go when I return and home delivery.

Best take away food in the area, curry a bit hot but food terrific. It's really good value for money and very clean Staff really friendly

Awful customer service, I phoned tonight to complain about yet another cold delivery of food.The staff had the cheek to get huffy with me and demanded the food back PMSL, You can have Your freezing cold chips and old cold sausage I can use My microwave to heat me up some tidy food not your cold offerings. Horrible unfriendly service I will never be using these people again.

Use Lindas regularly good food and the chicken balls are the best! I would recommend this place but be warned very busy on Friday and Saturday evenings so get your orders in early

The best! Don't bother ordering from anywhere else. This is the best. The Singapore chowmein is amazing, really good after a night out as well.

We are local people and use lindas house , it's our regular Chinese .... This Chinese is the best about in the Blackwood area and that's why we use it . Food is always very tasty , averaged priced , well worth it . Staff there always happy and helpful on telephone , Delievery is always on time . Would highly recommend , thank you lindas house for your delicious dishes !

The best tasting Chinese food in the area. Very polite staff. We've tried numerous in the area, but this is definitely the best one.
