Fabulous tea rooms in a unique location with beautiful views of the railway and the River Dee. The afternoon tea was delicious! We came yesterday for our Mum’s birthday and unfortunately she became unwell during our time at the tea rooms. The staff were lovely-so helpful, kind and couldn’t do enough for us, which we really appreciated during a stressful time. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again. Thank you again for all your help and kindness.

Went with friends for mothers day Sunday The food was excellent and staff very polite and helpful. Also there's a carpark at the back of the pub which was really handy.

The gardens are amazing and worth visiting. The glasshouse gets very warm in the hot weather .All the staff are very helpful. My husband particularly enjoyed the birds of prey demonstration. The staff are so knowledgeable and make the demonstration very interesting. We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea at the stable restaurant. We felt very spoilt.

A couple of miles west of Llangollen on the A5 this unassuming hotel/pub/restaurant is a gem. The rooms have every modern facility, are clean, large and comfortable. They must have an excellent chef as the breakfasts are superb and the restaurant food as good as it gets. There is a large free carpark and amazing views from the rooms and outdoor seating areas.

A quick stop at the Offas Paddock at St Melyd Golf Club for a Sunday lunch, it was very early on a Sunday lunchtime and there where more staff than customers with plenty of customers likely to start appearing , due to the amount of reservations, it is recommended that you book in advance. The service was good and the food looked fantastic and although we enjoyed the food and we will definitely return the food wasn’t the best we’ve had there but ok. The bar staff were very friendly and do a great job.

Booked a table for 9 of us for a pre Christmas get together, the choice was pork, turkey or beef for lunch and it was served to us on piping hot plates. There was a good helping of meat along with plenty of veg. Christmas pudding was served for afters and we were looked after brilliantly by Helen and her team. Great value for money and an amazing welcome in one of Denbigh’s oldest pub. Great job…. We will return. Diolch
