Harp Hotel in Denbighshire

Had been wanting to go for months! Bit the bullet and went in for a Sunday roast. The food was beautiful, service was brilliant. Only gave 4 stars as there wasn't many people in, but this would be a firm 5 stars with the hustle and bustle of people drinking and eating in there. Can't wait to return. We had a starter, main and 2 drinks each. Brilliant value for money.

Superb chips and fresh cod. So tasty and both cooked to perfect. Cod and fish x 2 plus large gravy and peas £26.

Called and booked a table and informed over the phone we would have a dog with us, person who took our booking was very pleasant, asking what time we wanted to book so that they could ensure we were seated as far away as possible from other tables who were also bringing their dogs. Very friendly welcome from Emma, who looked after us as soon as we walked through the door. Due to a change of chef, there was a slightly limited menu, until new one is released for next season, but when asked for an adjustment to a listed item, they were more than happy to oblige. The food was tasty and the portions were generous. The Bass cask ale was clear as a bell, tasted great and held it's head all the way down the glass. Music was great, not sure if there was a jukebox or piped in but a pleasant change to the usual options of chart 'bangers' or generic muzak. After a previous disappointing meal in a larger venue earlier in the week, this visit was a delight and would be more than happy to come back next time we are in the area.

I visit here quite regular. They do so many choices and it's so tasty. Made to tour choice and they are a very reasonable price. Would never go to another sandwich bar. My personal favourite is Chinese chicken.

Abhorrent rude staff member, who wouldn't let me sit down at a table until he had thrown a menu down. I am 8 and a half months pregnant. Blanked us for about 10 mins then served the table behind us happily that arrived just that moment. Walks past my family's table and spits out I'll be back. Comes back with the most appalling attitude and says "Yes. What you want" To which I replied " oh actually I think we will just leave" We then got some sarcy comment as the fellow walked off. Not gonna lie, it was an uncomfortable experience that left me my partner and children feeling dismayed. When you are in a customer facing role, attitude is most important!
