Had the best Sunday roast today at the hope anchor, 10/10 would recommend lovely, home cooked food, value for money, great staff, friendly atmosphere and clean too. Very pleased with measures that have been put in place towards COVID-19.

Came here on the off chance while we were on our we to somewhere else and really glad we did. Great atmosphere, really friendly landlord and the Lamb Roast Dinner.... WELL, what can I say?? Roast and Mashed Potato, Peas, Carrots, Cauliflower Cheese, Yorkshire Pudding... and the meat was to die for! Choose between Lamb, Chicken or Beef. Really generous portions and really reasonably priced. 2 dinners, 1 soft drink, 1 coffee and 1 hot pudding just under £20. Added bonus for us was they were showing Live Rugby on Sky. Would recommend this place for all ages... they even cater for little ones.

Seriously. I’ve eaten Sunday dinner at Michelin started restaurants, but hand on heart, this is the best I’ve eaten (barring my wifes). Great welcome from the landlord, really relaxed atmosphere. I chose the lamb, which was cooked to perfection, and a delicious piece of meat. Generous helpings, including cauliflower cheese, carrots, peas, mashed (superb) and roast potatoes and a Yorkshire. We stopped in just passing through, but next time we’d go out of our way to get here.

Called in for a beer on Friday evening and noticed that the pub was serving food. Ordered a beef lasagna for myself and veggie curry for my wife. Both meals were served piping hot, and my wife commented that the curry was better than many that she had had in Indian restaurants. Staff were very friendly, and beer was well kept and served cold. Prices for both food and beer were low. We will definitely return and recommend eating here.

I went for the vegetarian option again, which was homemade leak, mushroom and feta cheese pie. Absolutely delicious and less than £6. Have booked Christmas lunch (not Christmas day) for 7 people and really looking forward to it.

Last Friday we went out for an early evening family meal, including our young grandson, to the Hope and Anchor. Everything was great as per usual. The food is genuine 'home cooking style' - always nice, always hot and always served to us promptly - no long waits. We moved 'near' to the premises a few months ago and we have now been there for three Friday evening meals and three Sunday roast lunches. We have 'all' enjoyed every one of them. The Sunday roast lunches are even better than the Friday evenings. For on Sunday's, great value sweets are on offer. Plus, how can you beat roast Sunday lunches? Give them a try, you will not in my considered opinion be disappointed. And as for 'value for money' - superb.

2 of us walking Offa's Dyke booked 4 nights b &b at this lovely old pub. En suite accommodation clean with comfortable beds. Owners Gary and Debbie couldn't do enough for us. Evening meals were superb, cooked to order by Debbie, nothing too much trouble, but still at pub grub prices. Great quality and value all round.

The boss and I called for lunch a couple of weeks ago. I had let Gary and Debbie know we were coming because Debbie does a special veggie lunch with notice. I had the beef as always and as usual it was superb. Sian really enjoyed hers too. For less than six pounds per head, this is fantastic value. The quality of meat is top notch and veg is lovely. It makes you not want to bother making a roast dinner yourself.

The Hope & Anchor had a brilliant choice of food on their "Friday Menu". All cheap and very affordable, especially for how much food you get!!! Food was lovely and service was brilliant.

A welcome addition to Denbighs very limited eating choices on a Friday. A good selection of standard pub grub. We had scampi and chips and salmon burger and chips, both came with a very good salad and home made chips. Most meals are less than £6.

Absolutely brilliant Sunday roast. We were recommended by a local to give this place a try and we're so glad we did... only reason for not giving 5 stars... No vegetarian option for PT :-)

First time visiting and we had a fantastic afternoon tea - absolutely delicious! The service was absolutely excellent and the staff were brilliant with catering for children. Nothing was too much trouble! We were so impressed with our experience and will be back. I didn’t get her name unfortunately, but the blonde waitress who served us the most was absolutely lovely and we can’t thank her enough for making us feel so welcome and looking after us. Thank you!!

This is now called Boba Geeks Cafe. We went in expecting the usually greasy cafe food with frozen chips . We were pleasantly surprised. Home made chips with sausage, egg and beans all cooked to perfection. The chef uses all fresh ingredients in all his food and does a traditional roast on a Sunday. We paid £21 for 3 meals and 3 drinks which I thought was a real bargain.

I visit here quite regular. They do so many choices and it's so tasty. Made to tour choice and they are a very reasonable price. Would never go to another sandwich bar. My personal favourite is Chinese chicken.
